Gareus smiled softly, even the slightest change in her demeanor, instantly noticeable. He turned to see for himself, though the weather had already spoken for itself. Gareus hummed.
"Somehow... I don't feel like that's such a bad thing any more."

Lin finished her glass in silence. She liked the noise of the rain, so peaceful and they could hear it in the empty Inn. She blinked and looked at Gareus.
"I believe that this is the first time that I am finding the Inn so calm and peaceful." she admitted quietly.

He nodded, looking around.
"True. There's usually some demon or fairy or magic user or other busy about this place in numbers, but... Today's the exception I guess."
Gareus met her gaze for a bit, then dropped it off, looking back out the window.
"You're rather appreciative of your peace, it seems. More so than most."

Lin nodded. Yes the Inn of Peace was filled with plenty of unique creatures which she had never thought to be real until she stepped here only days ago, was it a week already?
His comment had her thinking when his blue eyes moved away.
"I was raised in a very traditional way. Respect, Honor, Peace are the basis of who I am." she said calmly. "Outer peace is nothing without inner peace." she added looking at her empty glass.

He brought his legs up in front of him, hugging them while he listened.

Lin blinked at his question, tilting her head slightly. That was a very direct and difficult question. She remembered the little pixie's riddle, a tree cared for or one in a forest...
"I do not know."
Her humility was another reason why she could not answer this, it would be boasting to pretend knowing one self and even if she did know, how to answer without sounding arrogant.
She was looking at the man as if seeing through him, trying to find another answer but none came.

"--excuse me again, moving to a seat."
As she spoke, he'd gotten a crick in his back, so he spun to his feet and fetched a chair, planting it backwards, but sitting in it in Lin's direction.
"Hm... So there's nothing you like to do at all? Something you can call your own?"

Lin looked at him as he moved and came back with a chair. She looked up, not bothered at all by sitting lowered than he was.
"There are many things I enjoy doing." she answered quietly.
"I like walking, especially in gardens. I like flowers and nature. I know how to make tea." she added a small pause. "One day, I will show you properly." she felt the need to add.
She thought then looked away from him. "I know how to dance with fans...and I play the shakuhachi." There was some emotion in her voice as she mentioned the Japanese flute.

He couldn't help a small smile when she added the bit on the end pertaining to the tea, but continued to listen. Her gaze turned away, he took his permission to look in her face's direction.
"Shockoo... hotchee? That a game, or... an instrument. It's an instrument, I'm guessing?"
Nothing against her, but she didn't seem like one that played games much.

Lin nodded then repeated slowly. "Sha-ku-ha-chi. This is a Japanese flute."
Her lips wore the hint of a soft smile. "I've learned since I was a child. It is a very simple instrument, the sound is very soothing." she said softly and turned her silver eyes towards the man as she felt his blue gaze on her face.

He looked down in turn with the turning of her head, then wandered outwards.
"Sounds like something you'd be good at."
He let his arms hang over the back of the chair, head hanging as well.
"Music... I've never had much of an ear for it. Enjoy it, for sure, but... never was cut out for notes."

"I do not think I am good at it...but I really like it." those were quite strong terms for the Asian woman and they showed her deep love for the instrument.
"Everyone has different abilities." she answered softly as he looked down.
"How about you Mister Gareus, what is it that you like?" she turned back the question at him, curious to know more about the man.

"Me? Well, jeez, let's see..."
He didn't have to think hard.
"I've always been a fan of travelling. I like seeing new places and learning new things, it's lots of fun for me. Travelling made me really good at maps, so I also know how to make maps pretty well."

He grinned.
"Extremely!"
Gareus motioned out parts of his speech, energetic as he thought out each thing.
"You have to walk around forever, talk to the natives, take into account altitudes and slopes and legal boundaries... It's enough to wear out anyone who doesn't know what they're doing!"
