lilchibiusa Happy 4th everyone! xd Whoa... This has been quite a week for me. I have now had a job for an entire week! The best part is that I am no longer bored out of my wits! I am actually gaining something of a social life... eek The bad news is that I am not on the computer as much. I came in from work yesterday exhausted. There was a wreck on the interstate downtown on the way home from work during rush hour. It took me an hour and a half to get home. xp I love the kids and I love feeling like I am competent. I have great coworkers and my bosses think that I am great! xd We all had a barbecue yesterday with the kids for the 4th. The kid zone (daycare/tutoring) was closed today. Relationships... confused I am trying to steer clear of them right now. I feel like most of last semester was ruined because I was too preoccupied with a ridiculous one that never should have been. During the fall, I am going to focus on my student teaching. Eventually, I would like to meet a nice guy who is patient, who has a heart of gold, and who enjoys the finer things in life (like opera and anime). blaugh I don't want a hot steamy relationship like in the movies. I want a sweet pure one that will let me keep my virtues and integrity. But working around women and kids all day doesn't exactly throw many men my age into my path. sweatdrop
Hot and steamy relationships are often shown in movies simply because they are not true relationships at all. In fact, most of them simply originate from Lust.
I believe we all want someone with those characteristics; however, it seems the population is slowly being consumed and brainwashed by those of undesired characteristics.
O.o Aside from my bite on relationships -- Happy 4th to you too :] I hope you had fireworks... CA is being stupid and not allowing fireworks due to wildfires [in other words, making up s**t] when theme parks and such are built on pavement =_= with no trees around... thats why its called a theme park... not a natural park.
But yeah -- Nice to know you're doing well :]

I'm slowly coming back from my hiatus. And ahhhhhhh we're not that old are we? I was still a little bit unaware of Nirvana at the time, but that's just scary. gonk
Mira Oh God Chibi, don't get me started! I just turned 27 for goodness' sake! I do remember an instance about 2 years ago that made me feel seriously old. When I was working at the bookstore, I was having a conversation with a teenager from the local high school, and we started talking about music. She reminded me so much of myself... Anyway, she piped up suddenly very excited and told me, "Oh! I'm just starting to get into the music from my Mom's era! Have you ever heard of Nirvana? They were really good!" And I was thinking to myself WHAT THE HELL?! There are kids who grow up not knowing who Kurt Cobain was?! eek I went to two mourning parties in that man's honor! rofl
Oh, and Mira, glad to hear that things are getting better, hope the ultrasound went okay. Stress usually throws my body all out of whack too.
So things are hopefully settling in for me. Work is basically back to 9-5 again, instead of 12-18 hour days on a boat. It's almost too slow right now, heh, they have to keep giving me odd jobs until we can get out on the lake in our smaller boat and get some water samples. I just got my certification from a boating safety course, so I'm technically allowed to drive a boat now, w00t.
We still have so much unpacking to do though. @______@ And I have to see about buying/leasing a car.
