His ears wriggled at the sound of that voice. He knew that voice- the armor! Eyes fluttering open quickly and sitting up, the timid mad did not pale but cracked a shy smile. Very slowly he would rise from the couch and give a slight bow, "H-ello, S-S-Sir C-C-C-Cat."

Kiran gave the man in armor a nod, bowing a bit lower, speaking as clearly as he could, "I-I am s-s-sorry f-f-for my b-b-b-behavior. I am a n-nervous f-f-fellow b-by n-nature."

He would point to his ears and they would twitch as if the recognition was meaningful, "Y-you c-c-an not f-f-f-fool t-these e-ears. Y-your c-c-c-c....costume i-is n-not n-n-nee-need-d--d-d-....neces-necessary."

Kiran stood up straight, his back starting to hurt from the bow, "Y-y-yes. J-j-j-j-just d-d-d-d-don't sh-sh-shout o-o-o-o-oga b-b-b-b..booga and I w-w-w-will b-b-be f-f-fine." It was a small joke, very mild tempered... not even a child would laugh.

"Y-y-you d-d-did t-t-that n-night," Kiran assured the armor. "M-m-my n-nerves have b-b-been w-w..w-w-...wound a l-l-l-little t-t-tight. I-I app-ppp-p-...again I am s-s-sorry about my r-r-reac-ction."
He very slowly would offer his hand, his tremble was visible, "I am K-Kiran D-D-Deg-g-g-g...Degas. I am a w-writer."

He casually pulled his hand away, his arms hanging still by his side. He was standing up as tall as he could and yet at five foot three he was still a small man with very little mass to him. His ears dipped slightly the chain connecting two red stones glimmering slightly. "I w-write c-c-creative n-non f-f-f-fiction. M-my ag-gent s-s-s-sent m-me here t-t-to r-r-reduce s-st-st-stress. C-c-city l-life and I d-d-d-d-d-d-....do not m-mix w-w-well," he explained. "B-b-b-b-break my w-writers b-b-block."

The writer would sit on the couch and begin a long and tedious explanation of creative non-fictions and some of the theories based on them- his stutter without a doubt the biggest cause of the tedium.

Senpai would come down the stairs. Merry today from good rest and a false alarm. Sitting by the fire, realizing silently that is was Peru, Senpai felt no warmth to well traveled bones. Peru had turned to a stone state. Frozen in place, alive and still producing flames. No heat seemed to roll from the flames, only light. Senpai would set a bit of grain out and watch- but to no avail, the chick would not move.

Senpai would look to the child, husky voice giving a gentle, "Hello." Senpai did not recall seeing the child more than once or twice and always without an adult. Who did this child belong to? Senpai would never question it, children were interesting creatures. Mushi were drawn to children, Senpai believed it was the energy they put off- sadly this ended poorly for many an unlucky child.
