Though Malachai had started up a conversation, Bure had continued on his own, worried.
"That's not weird, is it...?"

Bure nodded with his affirmation, sitting back in his chair and taking a breath.
"So what've you been up to, Malachai? No trouble of course."
Gareus spoke in reply to Adam's query on his life update.
"I've been spending some time over at the GMO, Stella invited me over."
He scratched an area above his ear.
"Apparently they want me to join up."

Gareus was slumped over the bar the next day, pondering what to do on his decision with the GMO. He was ready to say yes, sure, but this was one of those things that you weren't allowed to just come out and decide... at least not on the first day, at least.
"Hm."

Gareus looked up, hearing a familiar voice.
"Oh, markface girl. Cccccharlotte?"
the first 'sh' of her name pulled out as he thought about it, then realized it midway.

He tightened his cap, getting up with a groan from the counter.
"I'm out of sorts today, I'v been mulling things over and stuff."

Kiran had all but excused himself as a coughing fit had taken him the night before at the notice of what Malachai had been. He had only been able to choke out a pardon me before he was up the stairs and in his room taking deep pulls on his inhaler. He had never been a religious man. He could not believe in an almighty being who would take her- ... no. He had spend the rest of the evening contemplating Heaven and Hell; angels and demons; life and death and in the process ended up with several notes to mull over later.
During the daytime he would descend the stairs and smile kindly to the woman he recognized as Charlotte- they had met briefly before. He hesitated- uncertain as to take a random seat or sit at the bar.

"I'm just being weird about stuff, sorry. I guess I am a little bit down, but no more than what's socially acceptable, right? I mean... I reserve the right to be miffed or sullen when I choose."
He straightened out his cap, placing his hands on his cheeks and dragging his face in different directions as if it to attempt to mold another face.
"I'm not used to people caring about how I feel, as depressing as that sounds."
