"All you have to do is ask. I'll tell you anything. Everything," she shook her head, choking back sobs. "I'm so tired, Bure. I can barely keep my eyes open, my body aches with pains I've not felt in so long- and now Adrienne is dead. They'll push, they'll force, more bids will come in and I don't-" She almost shouted it, "I ran out of that carriage when it passed by to escape all this and all it's done is sink me more deeply into this mess," her chest rose and fell quickly- it was stuck between panic and tantrum, she sank her nails into her face, not drawing blood but they would leave tiny marks, "I can't escape this nonsense and yet without it I wouldn't have met anyone here. I wouldn't have met you." She sobbed.

Safe. Safe. She was safe with him, safe right here with him. She'd hug him and her tear smothered tone only managing to choke out his name. She wouldn't move, couldn't be moved. Didn't want to be moved. It would take some time for her to calm down- it wasn't instantaneous. His words calmed her, her sobs slowly dying down into trembling and slowed stillness. Her long lashes were closed, her breathing evening out smothered in his scent, the rumble of his chest as he spoke, but she was far from sleep "You're too kind to me, Bleghabie."

Her voice was softer now, all her energy gone, even her arms beginning to relax, "I'm so tired, Bleghabie. My heart feels broken into pieces..." But you're here to mend them...aren't you? She whimpered, her tone trailing into sleeping silence, "Thank you, Bleghabie...for...staying..."

((I hope can all agree that long long long night is over. Side note: not my b-day.))

Senpai looked around the main room from above. Having made a little nest in a corner of the rafters where for some reason the level of comfort was just right. Perhaps it was just the enjoyment of being high up or being able to watch the happenings out of arms reach of the average person. And the continuous drinking enjoyed was not only unnoticed but held no effect on anyone.

Senpai sat humming the Sore Feet Song from the rafters, feet dangling, long maintaining the buzz presented by the bottle bought in the city and brought with. Senpai was getting low on supplies, but to day was Senpai's day- the day Senpai knew to be the day of birth. Best day of the year. Alone and in the rafters. Ah- more alcohol for Senpai! Taking a pull of the bottle and singing warmly, softly, almost sadly, emerald eyes following several mushi which had gathered for the scent of the rice wine, "I walk ten thousand miles, Ten thousand miles, too see you.... And every gasp of breath,... I grabbed it just to find you.... I climbed up every hill too get to you... I wandered ancient lands too hold just you..."

Senpai would salute the man with the massive bottle gripped in large hand and smiled. "I have no reason to not be. I have sake, mushi, a good perch, all is well! Today I will celebrate, because it must be done."

Look down at the floor, Senpai would smile, then slipping off of it land on the floor- bare feet making no sound. Senpai would set the massive bottle on the table closest by and advice, "You might wanta' cup if you don't like ta' share."

Senpai's big hands clapped together in delight, waiting for the man to finish his pull so Senpai could take another, "Ah- some people are stingy about sharing with others." Senpai could nod be brought down today- there was no pain, only a tingling numbness. Admittedly the drinking had begun the night before for Senpai but it didn't matter- this was Senpai's day!
