MacPere hummed and sailed down the inn stairs, waving with one hand as the other covered the deepening bruise upon his nose. "Good day to you all indeed~!"

Moriko shook her head, "Nope," there was no reason to reveal anything to this woman. Then she paused, "Maybe she knows something about the temple?" she hesitated, "But should I ask her?" Moriko continued, "Well, there is that wierd temple that suddenly appeared."

MacPere found it interesting to find the inn completely devoid of its usual patrons; himself the only remaining.
He walked to the bar and picked up a cloth, strolling around the room's breadth to tuck in all of the chairs and wipe down the tables. It wasn't the environment he was used on usually busy nights, but alas. He would have to act barkeep in Zulma's unfortunate absence for now.

Gren strolled in, fresh from a gig in Barton. He walke dover and smooched MacPere on the cheek, cold nose tickling against the warm skin. "Evening...have a nice day?"

MacPere smiled at the kiss and tucked in the last chairs. He continued to wipe down the tables with a small grunt, scrubbing at a stubborn coffee ring.

"It was at a pretty fancy place, all things considered. I got held up in it by a mediocre pianist they stuck me with, one who's supposed to be popular. Who knows how she got that way; she only knew a handful of songs. Still, the crowd was happy, so I guess that's what counts, huh?"
He hung his coat on the hook nearby and looked over to MacPere's scrubbing, sleeves rolled up and working away. God, he thought, that's beautiful. "Want some help?"

Fenyx walked into the inn, carrying a jar full of pills. "Just got back from Barton Town, and I found my master's master's disguise pills in the Marketplace." He popped one into his mouth, and immediately took the form of an 8 year old. "Yep, they still work."

"Aw, poor thing. At least you were able to dazzle them to the fullest with your looks and charm, right?"
MacPere stood straight with a shake of the head, strolling to the sink and rinsing the cloth out. "No, I'm finished now, anyway. Thank you for the offer~" He set the cloth in some bleach to kill the germs and washed his hands, promptly drying them and rolling his sleeves back down.

"I suppose. I was getting paid a flat rate, and my tips were good, so I'm not complaining." He watched with some amusement as Fenyx transformed into a child, wondering if it was a popular new thing for younger people.
Noting as MacPere rolled down his sleeves, he commented "Is that a new coat? It looks amazing..."

"It is, I'm glad you noticed~" MacPere gave a brief spin on the ball of one foot, the various trinkets and ornaments attached to the coat jingling at the motion. "I figured I might treat myself after how I felt earlier."

This gave Gren a moment's pause, as he took a subtle sharp breath at the mention of splitting. It returned to normal as his mind raced to come to an understanding with being loved to much. It defied a lot of his logic, being left because of being loved too much.
His smile returning, the same he'd worn for years, he continued mixing his drink. "I don't think that there's a thing you could do to hurt me, at least not on purpose. And if there is, well, I don't have any intention of dying just yet. There are still a lot of things I've got to do before I even think of dying, you know." He finished making the drink, and patted the hands laced around his waist.
Looking up at Fenyx, he muttered "No thanks..."
