Nix was genuinely surprised when Mal smelled her curiosity. She also couldn't help but feel worried/cautious for once. She could tell Malachai meant no harm and all he had sensed was an emotion, but Nix still felt uneasy. She had never felt comfortable revealing much about herself and anyone who had the ability to read into her always brought this sort of reaction from the girl.

However, not wanting to bother Malachai, Nix forced herself to become more comfortable. It wasn't too difficult actually. She had always felt safe in the inn and Mal had, as mentioned before, done nothing but made her feel comfortable. Trying to settle in once more, Nix first picked out a question, something that wouldn't be too troublesome to write out. She picked one and after some scribbling showed to Mal, "Are you from Gaia or someplace related to here?".

Senpai looked up at the rafters, "But why in so many tales must twins represent yin and yang? I have met many twins who are neither good or bad. And the last time I saw anyone cry tears like that they were infected with a mushi which stole salt from the body in that way. I cannot help but wonder if the artist can see mushi as well?"

Then back down to Remy, uncurling long legs and letting them dangle. The bottoms of Senpai's feet were already as black as night, despite the scrubbing they had received the day before, "He was stern for good reasons, it takes a great deal of wisdom to become that kind of person." Senpai would shrug, "It is something to work for- stern, kindness and a good temperament."

Senpai's cursed hand dug long claws into the wood of the rafter a small amount. Stop fussing over the only thing Senpai knew about? Perhaps it was time to no longer speak about them. Senpai's expression remained the same and unchanged- just as the annoyance had appeared it was gone. Senpai wriggled black toes and smiled slightly, "That is good."

was the first thing Nix thought of when Malachai mentioned Blu-rays. As always, technology wasn't her forte. Actually, she downright failed at it even after all that time spent traveling around Gaia. She could work with computers a bit but... that was about it. Home entertainment systems and such in particular befuddled her as she found them of little use and so usually neglected studying them.

Eventually, though, Nix realized that Mal was talking about the ever-popular Blu-rays. Glad to know that she wasn't alone with tech troubles, Nix wrote, "I'm not good with technology either ^^; ."

"Did you know that they aren't blue?" he asked, clearly disappointed by this. "I was so let down."

"Something new?" he blinked, rubbing his chin. "How about...telephones?"

"It's a device we use to communicate over long distances." he said, pulling out his cell phone and showing it to her.

Senpai would come down from the rafters to get a better look. Hands behind strong back, Senpai was abosolutly fascinated, "No messengers or paper? Just a little box?"

"This makes communication much faster? Not having to wait for post or a lost messenger." Senpai pondered the small device without touching, the left eye closing after a few long moments from habit while the right continued to observe, "...but if you have the internet- why do you need a phone? Can one not serve the same purpose as the other?"
