[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"Rather than scold someone for being miserable for a long time, I find a little more function in helping them out of the pit." she said crisply, stroking his shoulder lightly. "Some problems cannot be surmounted by one's own willpower, especially grief."

Malachai sighed, looking to Kiran. What could he do? He set down his cup and stood, giving Kiran a hug. "I'm sorry."

Rhett took a moment, then his brow furrowed in incredulity.

"...A teleporter."  

[Astra_Senpai]

Senpai stood, "How long I wonder has he had the tools in his hands and simply stared at them." Green eyes meeting the blue of Kiran, "Grieving is a necessary passage and a difficult transition to finally letting go of sorrow - it is not a permanent rest stop. Drown in it if you must- excuse me." Senpai would walk around them, head high and shoulders back- heading to the door.

Kiran shrieked and pulled from the comfort of both of Charlotte and Malachai. If he could he would jerk to face Senpai. His attention on the back of the masculine female, his voice wavered as he yelled, "What do you know!? You were not there when she was taken away! She was an angel, a saint- she was my moon and stars!"

Senpai sighed, turned, "Such a great woman would want to her sun and sky to honor her this way?"

Kiran snarled, his face red, sickly yellow magic crackling at his fingertips, "DO NOT TALK LIKE YOU KNOW HER!" A long line of black opened along Senpai's face. Senpai simply turned and walked out the door. Kiran shrieked, "Come back! COME BACK!"

"Yes." he smiled. "One of the tecchies here let me have one of his. You have to admit, it'd be easier."

Charlotte gasped, brow wrinkling in shock. "Oh my..."

Malachai sniffed. The curse grew...its scent was stronger. Huffing, he decided he'd go after her soon, turning instead to Kiran. This was strange magic. He sniffed the air lightly, confused.

Charlotte glanced to the yellow at the man's fingertips. "...Kiran?"  

[Astra_Senpai]

Kiran, seething with anger, shivered. The yellow light of his sickly magic flickering out- his hands smoldering lightly. The skin has peeled back slightly, the tips of his fingers singed black. The color left his face and he would fall to his knees, "I f-feel s-sick."

Charlotte nodded, fetching a medical kit. "Lie down."

Malachai sniffed his fingertips. The magic was acrid, angry. "Do you have a curse on you, maybe?" he asked, crouching beside the man for support.  

[Azana Brown]

After much talk of fashion, and a little of the intel on their upcoming mission, Max perked up at a knock on the door. "Oh! I'll get it!" She offered, opening the door to find a very familiar couple dressed in not-so-familiar outfits.

"We're heading out soon," Azana said quietly, tapping her helmet.

"Do you want to meet us outside or all the way there?" Sosol finished, his wardrobe now matching his dark sunglasses. Then again, blue and khakis weren't the best for a stealth mission.  

[Astra_Senpai]

Kiran shook his head slowly, "A g-gif..t of l-l-lineag-g-ge." He wanted to curl in on himself and join Elenor. She'd welcome him with open arms and a gentle smile reserved just for him. Tears welled down his face, suddenly tired and unable to cope with the cruelty of the being with two hearts. The black burns began to creep down the writers fingers exposing muscle and bone- he'd used too much with too much force. Drown if you must, echoed in his mind. "A-am I t-t-truel-ly w-w-wal...low-in..g?"

Remy nodded, handing over the folder. "Here...I'll head out first, meet you there." he grinned, kissing Max on the cheek. "I'll be back when it's sorted."

"Not if you've tried to move on." said Charlotte, frowning baffled at the corrosion. "Ahm...is that normal for your condition, or are some bigger guns than bandaids in the works here?"

Malachai shook his head. "No...wallowers just shift around in the mud and let bad things happen. You do a lot more than that...and you've smiled. Never seen them try."  

[Azana Brown]

Max pouted, though it didn't last as she was kissed on the cheek. "Okay....but if ya let 'em beat ya up, I'll crush 'em!" She answered enthusiastically. "Take good care of my Remy, you two!"

"Eh, I've historically been the one who attracts most of the fire. He should be fine," Azana chuckled before being nudged by Sosol.

"Historically being the key word," he smiled. "We'll be back before you know it." With that, the two vanished under their cloak.

Max, feeling as though she'd be bored for the upcoming hours and wanting to prove a decent distraction, headed downstairs to meet the others."

"Let's kick some a**!" whooped Remy, hopping from his window with a wave.

At Max's arrival, Charlotte waved. "Hello! Look, a mysterious crisis!"  

[Astra_Senpai]

Kiran slowly curled and uncurled his hand, his ears drooped, "U-used t-t-oo m-much, t-too qui-..quick-kly. Th-the ac-cid b-burns m-me th-the p-pois-son c-cuts th-through the ot-ther." He watched as the singeing came to a stop at mid finger for each.

He cradled his hand for a long moment, "I d-don't w-wallow. F-five y-years is ac-c-ept-ptab-ble f-for m-m-mourn-ning. I c-c-can't l-let Elen-nor g-go." New tears welled down his face, "I st-still n-need h-her." He would hold his hand out to Charlotte, what was there simply needed salve and bandages.  

[Azana Brown]

Max looked at it and grimaced. "Eww...I'll go get the medical stuff," she said, trotting off to the medical room in the basement and returning with a first aid kit. "Will this be alright?"  

[Gren_Eckener]

"I already got it..." she sighed, beginning to salve it. "Usually, one year is the time you get...but Kiran, you can move on as well as keep her with you. There was a little truth in what Senpai said. However, there's no reason Eleanor can't come with you."

Malachai looked to Max hopefully. "He's sad and angry all at once. Are you good at helping sad people?"

Max set aside the first aid kit, turning her attention to Malachai. "Depends...I like ta have fun, an' I'm more than happy ta take 'im with me! But I dunno what he likes ta do for fun."
