He nodded, sipping his water slowly and tipping back to mouth at an ice cube.
"I am curious. Is there any way to find out without trudging all the way back there?"

Lin nodded to Gareus then walked back to Senpai and sat by the woman. She took the paper and read with worry in her eyes.
"I see." she said quietly. She turned a silver gaze towards Senpai. "Preexisting condition?" she asked slowly with a blink.

'It is hard to explain. I- I have been long served as a host for a mushi... we are one and the same and it is slowly taking over.' Senpai could be nothing but honest. If it scared the kind woman off- Senpai would have to try and understand the emotion which was building up at that thought.
Honey figited- oh she wanted to understand what they were talking about. It all sounded so, so amazing! She figited- tempted to steal attention and be loud but she was nervous. The blonde girl, there was something about her that Honey couldn't pin point that made her nervous. But they were talking about tests and results and yesterday Stella had said something about taking gifted people and AH! It was killing her on the inside!

Kristen nodded. "If I could bother Max for use of a laptop, I could access the personnel files remotely. Would you mind asking her?" She glanced aside to Honey, her fidgety enthusiasm ringing loud and clear in Kristen's head. She wasn't even trying...the girl was broadcasting it all in high definition: the talk with Stella, her own fantasies of the GMO.
"You appear as though you wish to talk to me," she said, looking back to Gareus with a questioning gaze. Would he grant her the time to do so?

Lin blinked a moment. She did not know what a mushi was. She knew what it was. But she guessed that in Senpai's mouth it meant something different than a simple insect. Did it mean that the woman in front of her was going to disappear?
"Is the mushi good or bad?" she asked.

Senpai's head shook, 'The mushi seems to hold no ill will towards anyone.' Coughing, Senpai would turn away, the smoke pluming brilliantly from the cloth, always falling and rolling away from people. Senpai would return to sitting upright, 'They are in essence neither good nor bad, as us they simply wish to live and survive. Most are harmless to humans. As a host this is not the case for me. All I know is one day this body will belong to the mushi.'
Lord abo'e t'ose 'azel eyes is lo'ly. Honey blushed at the moment of attention, the feathery hair fluffing a bit as if surprised at the notice. She felt mildly bad about interrupting but- it just wasn't in her nature to not want to listen to something she fancied as interesting. It was how she'd fallen into art and music in the first place and look how well that had gone!

He turned, leaving her to new conversation as he went upstairs, looking for her room.
"Maaax?"
The man leaned on his cane the best he could, trying not to be too loud.

Gareus' reply would come in the sound of house music bleeding into the hallway, leading to a door with the name card : "Max Mouse". Underneath was a laundry list of functions, including "hacker" and "fashion designer".
"That should keep him occupied for a minute or two," Kristen grinned, now interested in the freckled woman. "I am Kristen Wyatt."

He took up his stick, rapping the end against the wood.

Lin remained silent long seconds. "I understand." she said in a whisper. The idea of a young life ending so soon was painful, but Lin's face was maybe even more distant than ever. There was no shame in death, but there was sorrow.
Now the idea of speaking of names seemed quite futile and she simply turned her silver eyes towards the window, looking at the garden, cycle of life and death.

BOOM. Wheels turning- was this the same Kristen they'd mentioned last night? The one with the fire? OH LUCK ABOVE. Honey beamed pure sunshine, her smile big and friendly, "'Oney Peregrine. I'sa pleasu'e ta' mee' ya'," she'd stick her hand out to shake.
Senpai inhaled and exhaled, standing. Clearly having upset Miss Lin, Senpai would not stay. 'Please excuse me, Miss Ming. I did not mean to upset you. I will leave you to your day- please do not be upset for me. Forgive me for the distress I may have caused, but please allow me to leave you with this thought... Mushi seem to have very long lives and as such I may live for a very long time as well. The mushi can go dormant for years and it's growth has been slowing. Forgive me- I am prattling. Thank you for the pin... it means much to me.' Picking up the pen, Senpai would head for the stairs.

The bass turned down a little, and the door opened to reveal a short and very colorfully-dressed Max, complete with cotton-candy wig.
"Hiya! What can I do ya for?" She asked, knowing people rarely stopped by her room just to chat. Well, non-Remy people, at least.
"Likewise," Kristen smiled, shaking Honey's hand. "You seem...incredibly joyful, particularly at mention of my name. Has my reputation preceded me once more?"

She listened to Senpai, blinking many times, but as the woman walked to the stairs, Lin stood up as well and followed in quick steps until she caught up with her. If one had ever seen Lin hurrying, it was then. Her hand had pulled on Senpai's sleeves and her eyes fell upon Senpai's right 'hand'. The Asian woman did not scream, nor did she look disgusted. She pulled back the fabric to hide it and blinked, then her eyes trailed back to Senpai's face.
"Shall we continue our discussion in your room?" she asked in her usual cool voice.

Honey grinned, oh her hands- AH FOCUS! She blushed a bit, "Oh is- I assume alo' bu' I'm 'opin ya' tha' Kris'en I 'eard abou' fro' S'ella an' Sol an'," why was she nervous? God, it was like Kelly all over again- except Kelly wasn't half as cute. "I jus' los' my trai' o' though'. Sorry. I'm nos'y an' it soun'ed li'e ya' wa' tal'in Auror stu' an' I di'n't mean no 'arm. I's jus'...I 'ave no i'ea wha' I'm sayin'. I mus' soun' li'e a righ' foo'."
Senpai had frozen solid at the touch of the slightly smaller woman. Green eye wide at the pull on the heavy fabric and the revealing of the talon- the not her. Not Miss Lin. Senpai had expected a scream or for Miss Lin to stare at her with disgust. So many acted this way, so many of her own kind had not given a second glance only discarded the monster they could not see past. But neither look, nor shout came. Senpai would nod at the suggestion and slowly lead to the given room. Unlocking the door and holding it open for the other to walk through first.
