He watched as she looked at the first two books. He'd never been on board a submersible, he thought it would be fascinating to ride one one day; and he was new to the region so it had occurred that if he did stay it might be well to learn about it. Kal noticed how Celine moved about her room, and smiled. It seemed he had met another kindred spirit in this inn.

"If the mood, or company takes me." he replied.

If Celine understood his last words as an invitation or not, she did not show. "I'm sure you'll find many volunteers around here. The Inn is full of friendly folks." she answered with a smile and an assertive nod, then she looked back at the tour guide then took the third book.

"Wildlife and flora of Africa." She had a chuckle and her lips curled into a smirk. "My you are all over the place!" She opened that book and looked at some of the photos quite fondly. She shivered as her blue eyes fell upon vultures. "I hate those!" she grounded before turning the page to more exotic looking birds. "You like animals? Or you like Africa?" she questioned him, once again looking at him.



Lin did not react one way or the other when the mushi answered her. The answer was not yet or maybe that was its way of 'talking'.
The Asian woman looked back at Senpai's green eye which was filled with worry.
A new name had come to her mind, a name which could bring peace to the human and the mushi, a name to help them both live together.
"Kyou." she said calmly and her fingers traced in the air the kanji for cooperation.

Senpai's green eye watched her shape the word. The name. Kyou. Crystalline tears welled from the green eye- nothing from the other side. Sen- Kyou's good hand reached up and repeated the gesture in the air. Kyou was certainly a visual learner. Kyou had no idea- prayed that what Lin was forming were letters to the new name.

The orange eye snapped open, far wider than it should have. The luminous glow of the lens brilliant for a moment and then it closed. Kyou swallowed hard, not moving as the skin of the neck began to dip and flex as if shifting something inside. Kyou weezed softly but the light side- the light side held a small smile.

"Really?" he asked, sitting forward a little, "That must have been extraordinary!" Medical magazines, a trip to the dark continent, perhaps this woman was a doctor. Oh the interesting people, he'd met in this place so far! Inner ticking matched Kal's new excitement. "Oh you must tell me, what it was like?"

If there was something that Lin was apparently not getting used to it was tears, Kyou's in particular. It made her uneasy and she would have looked away if the white haired woman had not ...smiled. A very discrete sigh escaped the woman's lips. Was it relief? Was it annoyance? Nothing could help decide.
"Doiteshimashite Kyou-san." said the woman very calmly. She saw the claw digging in the ground and wondered if she should leave Sen-Kyou alone for a while.
"Do you wish to be alone?" she asked quietly, still kneeing very formally.


Celine's face brightened at the question. "My...where to start?!" She hummed. "I think I felt quite lost at first. You see, I thought it was going to be dry and yellow. So when I arrived in Benin...well I was quite stunned. It was green and humid." The brunette chuckled behind her glasses.
"I arrived last night so I have not had time to upload pictures but I'll show you some if you want." she offered.

Kyou's head shook no. Alone was most certainly not what was wanted. More time with the beautiful woman made the loneliness more bearable. The pen flew on the table above, it had found the paper again, 'I wish for you to stay but it is best you leave. I have found the mushi will attack those I.... value.'

Say for his top hat and the pocket watch in his coat pocket, Kal left his belongings behind. He could retrieve them after, and he was not one to argue when an attractive woman leads you away by the arm. Too bad she had not gotten to see the last book, it was of exquisite quality. A mature subject, of course, but the Kama Sutra was an important cultural manuscript.

Once downstairs in the empty main room, he walked with Celine over to the bar, and pulled out a stool for her. Once she was seated, he removed his coat, and placed his top hat on her head. Kal smiled as he strolled behind the bar. he could still feel his mechanisms slowing, but he did not rush.

"So, what can I get you, Celine? I'm at your service." he said, playfully using his tucked arm to pose like a butler.

The orange eye opened and Kyou moved forward. Kyou's good hand moving to catch Lin by the wrist and pull her into a one armed hug. It was improper, rude and horrible. The woman in her kindness would be gone forever and never speak to Sen- Kyou again. But there was a reason.

The moment the eye opened something jumped inside of Kyou- something not felt before. Kyou had no idea what- if Lin would have been able to dodge the door. If Lin resisted or pulled away- the door which suddenly whipped open would, if she did not move back, have popped her squarely.
