"What else are you interested in?"

Charlotte grinned, saluting, then trotting to the Drinkamajig. Punching a few buttons, five cups of cocoa popped out on a tray. "Voila!"

Kiran thought on it, ears twitching as he thought, "M-m-m-merm-maids?"

Honey squeaked in delight, doing a very careful front walkover to get to the door for Charlotte. After all it was polite and Honey pretty much owed Charlotte for the bandage and now cocoa!

"They're rather damp, fairly pretty, but have more fins and spines than you'd think." he chuckled.

Charlotte nodded gratefully, sweeping out and serving everyone, including Kiya, a cup of cocoa.

Malachai warbled, drinking his without regard for the steam.

Kiran beamed a shy smile, a dash of red across his nose, "O-oh m-m-my c-c-c--c-c-... c-c-c-c-c."
"Cocoa," Honey cheered, taking her cup and taking a huge gulp. Covering her mouth at the sudden sensation of hot lava in her mouth. She winced and waved a hand wildly in a flail of pain. "D'mn tha's 'ot!"
Kiran could not help but laugh at the poor girl, taking his time to blow gently on the cocoa to encourage it to cool a small amount. He looked to Malachai, "Wh-what ab-b-b-bout s....sir-rens? Wh-what's the d-d-ddif-f-ference?"

Charlotte let her cocoa sit at the table and scoffed. "Sirens."

Malachai smiled. "One's half-fish, one's half bird-fish thing. Sirens eat souls, mermaids don't...sirens sing and it enchants you, mermaids coax, sometimes sing, but legends are what keep them popular and hunted, the poor dears."

"Didn't some dope claim they could cry pearls, and that eating their flesh made you immortal?"

"Yeah...and they can do the pearl thing, but the flesh thing's just a human story." he frowned.

Honey looked between them all. Mermaids? Sirens? What the heck? Was it learning time already? Honey had too much energy for learning time! She looked up at the ceiling. Oh my gosh! RAFTERS! Honey's baby blues studied the rafters, if there was a way up, she would find it!

"W-wh-what ab-b-b-out t-t-temp-p-porariliy bec-c-com-ming h-hum-man?" Kiran asked, "W-w-was H-hans Ch-Christ-t-tian And-d-d-er-rs...sen's t-t-tale c-c-cor-rect? Oh! Wh-what ab-b-bout s-sea w-w-wit-tches?"

"Depends on what you mean by witch, doesn't it?" hummed the demon. "For the old ways of thinking, Honey here's a witch just for that music player. A magic practitioner can give a mermaid legs, a spell can only last so long, and with anything, there comes a price, and anyone can live by the sea. So, yes. That story's probably all true."

Charlotte smiled, satisfied. Malachai wasn't so bad when he was on a topic he understood.

Honey's attention was drawn at her name, "A wi'ch? ME? Wha'? Fo' mu guitar?" Her cup empty, after the initial burn it was all easy enough to drink. She'd set the cup on the table and stand on the back of her chair... oh wow those were high up. She'd stand on her toes, balancing with ease.

Kiran bobbed his head slowly, "Wh-what ab-b-bout h-harp-p-pies?"

"For your headphones, and ipod. Music without a minstrel. And harpies? Of course." he said simply. "And sphinxes and cockatrices too. Gosh, you haven't seen any of those?"

Honey leaned back a bit, grinned. A HA! Hopping to the floor, Honey ran to the wall, climbed a beam and scrabbled onto a rafter. "Oy! T'ere's a buncha' blankets an' stuff up 'ere in the corner!" She tiptoed to just above where the rest of them where and dangled her legs over the edge after sitting down.

Kiran gasped, "G-g-g-god n-no. Only in b-b-b-books. Th-those th-things are r-r-real? I-is i-it t-t-true c-c-c-c-c-c-c....?"
Honey chirped, flailing her arms and having to latch onto the beam, "Cockarices!" Whew that was CLOSE!
Kiran blushed, "Y-yes th-thank y-you. T-t-t-turn y-you t-to st-stone w-with a s-s-sing-gle l-l-l-look? D-does th-that m-m-mean g-g-gorg-g-gons are r-r-eal t-too? W-with the s-s-same p-p-pow-wers?"

He nodded. "They aren't bad, those Gorgons...always trying to replace their sister, though." he nodded, draining his cocoa as Charlotte finally took her first sip. "And yes, they do that...their yells are dangerous too."

Honey almost immediately lost interest- it was so much fun to be up high. She crawled back to where she'd seen the blankets and begin to poke around amongst them. She giggled in delight at the small shiny stones, bits of something like tobacco, some silk, and a little black flower? Honey blinked, slowly reaching out to touch it and shrieking when it moved! IT MOVED! She scrambled onto another beam and looked at her hands- no... it hadn't touched her. She paled a bit, then grinned- her curiosity on high at this little thing... but very hesitant to go near it, "Wha' are 'ou then~?"

"W-why w-would th-their y-yells b-b-b-be d-d-dang-gerous?"

"Ah, Honey, you might not want to bother those." called up Charlotte. "Those aren't yours, and are possibly dangerous."

"Because then you know there's a cockatrice around." he chuckled, clearly pleased with the old joke.  

[Astra_Senpai]

She was atwitter with excitement, she wanted to touch it- it was a so peculiar. "Who's this s'uff belon' to?" Honey peered out from the blind corner, answering Charlotte, "There's a blac' flo'er tha' moves up 'ere! Trie' ta' bi'e me."

Kiran blushed, embarrassed at falling for the joke. He cleared his throat, sipped his cocoa and asked, "V-v-v-very w-w-well w-what ab-b-bout m-more c-c-common f-f-folk-kl-l-lore. W-w-werew-wolv-v-es, g-g-gh-ghost-ts and a-ah.. F-F-F-F-Frank-k-kens-st-stein?"

"Senpai. And I'm not joking, please come down." she said, both patient and urgent in tone.

"Yes, yes, and who?" he asked, frowning slightly.
