[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles brought Indara to her hair and the moth crawled onto it and fanned it's wings before becoming still. She stepped towards the young man, smiling as she approached and nodding her thanks to him before stepping inside with a verbal, "thank you," as well. She moved towards the stove then stepped away from it, turning to watch the young man work.

Kiran followed her in and was a bit surprised to see her move to the stove. Ha. The poor woman seemed to assume he could boil water. Kiran blushed deeply, the color trailing up his ears as he used the drinkamajig and produced the tea for her.
A small bit of defeat in his tone, he held out the cup and saucer with a trembling hand, "I-I'm af-f-fraid I-I'm n-n-not m-m-much g-g-good in the k-k-k..k-k-k..k-kit-tch-chen. I only kn-kn-ow h-h-how t-t-to m-m-mak-ke c-c-crep-pes." he was certain now, it was her heart he couldn't hear.

Angeles tilted her head at the device as it produced the drink out of nowhere. She stepped forward and inspected it before accepting the drink with a smile, "that's quite alright. In turn, I would never have been able to figure this thing out," if technology as simple as the washing machine was out of her grasp, this drink machine was well beyond her, "but you know how to make crepes, that's a rare talent," she smiled, keeping her voice low and on the softer side. She took a sip: tasteless, unsatisfying. But she was not drinking it for satiation, "so what is your name, may I ask?"

Kiran gave the smallest of bows, "K-K-K-K-ir-ran D-D-D-Deg-g... D-Deg-gas, I am a w-w-r-rit-t-ter. And y-y-you, M-m-iss?"

"Angeles Valentine," said the vampire, touching two fingers to her head then drawing them away. It was a sort of salute in return to his bow, done in the absence of not wearing her hat to tip in salutation, "I'm a vampire hunter," she smiled, "but a writer, perhaps I have read one of your works?"

Kiran shook his golden head, embarrassed, "T-th-they are c-c-cre-at-t-tiv-ve n-n-nonf-f-fict-ction B-b-bas..ed o-on m-my t-t-trav-vels and th-the l-l-lik-ke "

"Ah, so I should read them," Angeles smiled taking another drink of the tasteless liquid, "I'm sure some interesting tales will come of this place in the timeline of your journey," she knew that far too well, "how have you found it so far? The inn, I mean. How long have you been here?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Boy, don't try to slow me down..." Max sang along to her music du jour, heading to the door and opening it. "Hey! Demon dude! And Mini-Demon Dude! C'mon in!"

"The colors...." Hemlock blinked at the cheerfully decorated room, eyes attracted to the strange computer setup in one part of the room. He barely recognized it from his errands... "This is Max...? I always thought that was a guy's name."

"Not for me," Max said with pride, turning her rock 'n' roll down slightly. "Besides, it's a nickname...not the one my folks gave me."  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Max, this is Hemlock! He's an imp, and a friend of Violet's too, so everyone's cool with this. Hemmy's just meeting everyone." smiled Malachai, patting the imp's head. "Hemmy, this is Max Mouse! She's colorful and fun and really nice."  

[Azana Brown]

"Now that's a sweet name!" Max laughed, giving the imp's hair a little rub. "You're a friend of Violet's, huh? Guess you were sneakin' past the devilish dominatrix then...good on ya! That takes some serious balls."

Hemlock tilted his head slightly before looking down to his pants. Were they serious? He didn't know...but what he did know was there were shiny things in the room. "What's all that for...?" He asked, pointing to the computer system.

"That's where I do my job!" Max beamed. "I connect people, hack computers, and look for information. I can find just about anything you want!"

Mal leaned over, whispering "It's a human figure of speech." before standing up and smiling brightly. "Go on, ask her a question! She's like a seer!"  

[Azana Brown]

Hemlock blinked as Malachai whispered to him. "Ohhhhhhhh~!" He said, the thought finally registering as he walked over to the conglomeration of computer and screens. "Ummm...how're Ernie and Sue doing?" He asked sheepishly. "I didn't like them a lot...but I heard they got nice later."

"Ernie and--oh! That family!" Max nodded, fingers dancing along the keyboard as all three screens sprang to life. "I've got a little hacking to do; I think they were put in a protection program..."

Malachai blinked, nonplussed. The only Ernie he knew was a muppet, and who was Sue? Clever little imp, that Hemlock was, he concluded with a nod.  

[Azana Brown]

"Ernie and Sue followed Mistress for a while," Hemlock explained. "It was because of them that the people here found Vee...but Mistress was very mad about it. They wound up leaving after the big fight at the First Church."

"Got 'em!" Max crowed. "Ernie and Sue, along with Molly and our young vandal, are out somewhere in California. Seems like they adjusted well; the son's GPA is way up, Molly's in three clubs, and Ernie got a promotion."

"Wow~...and the magic screens tell you all that?" Hemlock gazed in wonder. "They tell you everything?"

"Everything I ask 'em!" Max nodded. "I take it imps don't do a lotta research. Maybe I can show ya the basics some time...or ask Mal for his encyclopedia collection. What're you up to now, Mal? Or did Ty just drop the rest of 'em on ya before he walked out?"

"Uhm, he gave me a bunch more before he left, and I've been reading them and doing the homework Felix gives me, like my counting and math and spelling...I'm up to the R one." he rambled, counting his subjects on his fingers. "But, um, no! We don't do much research, unless we need to. Education isn't always a big thing, at least not on things like that."
