[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"Ahhh~" he breathed, flushing a bit at the pet. "The, the difference is, is the reciever enjoying it on some level..?"

"Ah." hummed Charlotte, tapping the pencil's eraser on her lip before doodling a poodle. "Well, we have a few options, then, for clearing up nightmares. esident expert's an incubus; he's wiping those away on Wolfy!"  

[Azana Brown]

Marilyn looked up at her, blinking a few times as she realized Charlotte wasn't joking. She took a measured breath, not wanting to exert herself with flying off the handle, and broke it to her gently.

"Erm...if you haven't noticed, dear...I'm clergy now." She gestured to the robes and held up the cross. "Accepting services from a demon isn't exactly an option in that context. Nothing against him, of course; I'm sure he's wonderful at what he does."

Azana checked her phone, turning to Sosol in their room. "Where's Violet?"

"Classes have started again; she should be at the Gambino School," he answered, concern in his eyes upon seeing his wife's expression. "Please don't tell me what I think you're going to tell me."

She let out a sigh, shaking her head and putting her phone away. "Wish I could...the Kin's on the move, and someone took a lot of interest in my reports at HQ."

"They've been tightening security incessantly since those times you broke in...how could they have possibly--" He paused. "Do you think they have a GMO agent?"

"It would explain how they just walked right in and right out...but not why they used old access codes to log into the Archives. Specifically, my uncle's old codes." She folded her arms, pacing nervously. Even she never knew them...so who would? Marilyn, maybe? Alistair? Stella?

Sosol stopped her pacing with an embrace, kissing her forehead. "Don't fret...James and Kristen are on the trail; they just wanted to alert us, just in case."

"I don't like this," Azana said, arms unfurling to return his gesture. "None of it makes sense...we cleaned out the GMO, the Kin shouldn't be moving yet, let alone so fast...and we don't even know what they're after anymore. Me? Violet? Revenge? Destruction? It could be any or all of the above."

"Brainstorming aloud, and perhaps a little teasing." she winked, giggling gently. "I'd just like to see the look on his face go from 'elated and eager' to 'the end of the world' in half a wink; it's pretty cute." Seriously though, I think I'd better go get Azana or Sosol...they'd be able to help you better than I would, at this point."

With that, she pulled Fee from her pocket, whispered in his ear, and tossed him to the stairwell, where he scampered off.

Soon, there was chittering and scratching at the Jacobs' door.

"I'll get it," Sosol chuckled lightly, walking to the door and opening it. Not seeing anything immediately, he looked down. "Hi, Fee!"

"Fee's here...?" Azana blinked. What on earth could Charlotte need from them right now...?

Marilyn chuckled nervously, enjoying the humor on one end but still a little disconcerted about being seen with demons. She was still new to the clergy, and she couldn't help but pick up on their skepticism. They expected her to leave somehow, and this would be the perfect excuse.

"Piigrii gata kuwesuchan!" announced the chibi, pointing at the stairs. "Ga da saikiiku reidii!"

"Aw, don't look so worried...he won't bother you."  

[Azana Brown]

"I'm not concerned about that," Marilyn answered, visibly attempting to calm herself down. "Truly. It's more the fact that I didn't exactly get leave to come here...I didn't have the time. So, a novice nun going AWOL to a place with a resident incubus doesn't bode well for my future in the ministry."

"A question about a psychic lady...?" Sosol asked for a moment before the lightbulb clicked on. He glanced back to Azana, noticing that she understood as well. Of course, they were taking it two entirely different ways. "Az..."

"No." She began to walk out of the room, feeling a hand on her wrist. "I don't care how much time you spent with her, Sol. If everyone else is allowed people they don't want here, then so am I, and she is currently near the top of that list!"

"She might be here to help," he offered, grip firm but breakable.

"She almost had my best friend killed," Azana retorted. "She tried to blow me up. She psychically assaulted Stella into a suicidal state!"

"And how is that different from Tyler?" Sosol asked calmly. "He messed with your head and almost took out the whole GMO. Why does he get a second chance and she doesn't?"

"He had a good reason! She just wanted Charles back! And...and..." Her vision blurred slightly as she held her head. "Ow...look, I can't forgive her for what she's done. I don't trust her, and I don't want her here. Answer her questions, and make her leave."

Sosol let go, ushering Azana to a seat before heading to the door. "I'll help them out...but you'll have to kick her out yourself. I refuse to do it for you."

"Oh, let them talk. Who's gonna tell? Besides, think of the fact that he's tamed. They'll be miiighty impressed!"

Fee sat down on the toes of Azana's shoe. "Ai baito?" he offered.  

[Azana Brown]

"I suppose that's true," Marilyn smiled. "You have an interesting perspective, you know that...?"

"Hello again," Sosol greeted as he descended the stairs. "What brings you back to our neck of the woods...?"

Azana sighed, holding her head in her hands. "I might take you up on that...ugh, my head..."

"I have been troubled by a recurring nightmare that refuses to yield insight," Marilyn explained before Charlotte had the chance. "I'm scared it may be a warning."

"It comes with age. Hi Sol!"

Fee patted her shoe. "Wasu rongu wii yu hedo?"

[Angeles Valentine]

Having given up after a few minutes Angeles had gone back to her room to lie down, hoping that whatever it was would pass, or whoever it was would leave. When she heard an argument from down the hall though, she tilted her hat up to be able to see the door, before getting up off her bed and walking towards it. She opened it up and peeked out to see Azana going back into her room, and Sosol descending the stairs.

Her chest tightened a little bit at a few memories that cropped up at the sight of Sosol, but she didn't let it hinder her from leaving her doorway and making her way back to the stairs. Only the feeling of danger made her pause before making it down the rest of the way. She stayed at the bottom of the stairs though, hand resting against the wall as she tried to piece together what was happening.  

[Azana Brown]

"Hey, Charlotte," Sosol greeted, sitting across from Marilyn. "So, you came here, and Charlotte flagged us down, for help with the nightmares?"

"Pretty much...the other sisters told me to pray, but I don't think they understand the difference between my nightmares and theirs," she said with a frown. "Maybe if I can review it with you, you'll pick up something I can't."

Azana shook it off, looking down to the chibi. "I dunno, Fee. I lost my train of thought, and suddenly I got a splitting headache. Bara's been pretty cooperative lately, so it wasn't her." She sat for a moment, eyes closed to relax her throbbing head.

"I'm going to have to kick her out, before I get too busy with this whole Kin thing again."

''Yup, yup!'' agreed Charlotte, glancing to the stairs, raising an eyebrow far into her curls at the sight she beheld.

Fee hopped onto her head and began to pet her crown. It worked for him, why not her?  

[Azana Brown]

Azana blinked, looking upward although she would never be able to see him atop her head. His attempt at soothing her head wasn't entirely working, but it was endearing to have him try. Taking a cue from Sosol, she tried a meditation trick or two he had taught her, hoping the two together could knock this headache out.

"I think I can handle that...you know what to--" He paused, the lowering of his filters drawing his eyes over to the stairs. A quick glance to Charlotte confirmed it was no vision or hallucination.

Focus, Sosol...you can address that whole thing later, he thought to himself, closing his eyes as he linked up with Marilyn.

The red-headed nun began to remember the dream, emotional pulses barely stifled by their sender. The pitch-black surroundings, pierced by angry, icy eyes. The hand, outstretched and two-toned, human and not. It began to waver as Marilyn's waking instinct began to kick in.

Stay with me, Marilyn...you have to face this to know what it is...! Sosol called to her. He was just as curious, especially if it wound up having to do with the Kin's latest moves.

Charlotte glanced back to the psychics, watching them operate. Although there was nothing visibly afoot, the expressions on their faces were fascinating, the mental battle in the redhead clear.  

[Azana Brown]

Marilyn visibly trembled as the dream continued, the strange arm caressing her cheek before grabbing her shoulder and trying to pull her into the shadows. Her heart pounded as the image began to fade again; she wanted to wake up more than anything in that moment.

She'd suddenly feel a pull in the opposite direction, Sosol's arm around her waist. Come out here, you coward, he demanded, digging in his heels to try to keep her in the light of the dreamscape. He still wasn't quite sure of what this was, but he had a hunch that letting her be pulled away, even in the vision, wouldn't end well.

After a few minutes, Azana opened her eyes, looking up to Fee. "That was wonderful," she smiled, more than happy to allow him the belief that he was responsible. "Thank you...I feel a lot better."
