[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"I haven't complained about anything of yours yet," Sosol chuckled, eavesdropping from the doorway. "How's the tea coming...?"

"Just fine, dear...and I was just talking about how you bottle yourself up around here. I was thinking of a few days away...maybe lift a bit of the burden off the nun out there," Azana explained with a shrug. "Sooner she's out of my hair, the better."

"Oh, really...?" Marilyn asked, both amused and hopeful. "Are you going to bite him...? The man in the shadows?"

Kiran looked at Malachai... he was serious wasn't he? "C-c-c-coc-c-coa and c-c-col-l-lor-ring?"

Honey wiggled her fingers in Charlotte's direction, snatched up the finished milkshake, found a spoon... the hell are the spoons? Honey needed to stop eating with her hands. Oh right! She opened a drawer, singing to herself, producing a spoon, " All those little shooters...How I love to drink them down...Come on bartender lets have another round..." And headed for the door to the main room, fully engrossed in her treat.

"Really? I'm not doin' my part, then..." she muttered, pouring the tea. "Who takes cream and sugar?"

Zippo smiled, tiny face full of fangs. "Yami!" he insisted. "Ai wana iitim!

"Well, that and sex, but I thought that was obvious." he said, blinking. "Doncha like coca and coloring?"

He chuckled softly, "Y-yes th-that w-was." He thought on it a moment of two, straightening the corner of the comforter. Adjusting his lenses and crossing his arms. He could not help but admit, "I'm af-f-f-fraid I h-h-hav-ven't ind-d-dulg-ged in act-t-tiv-v-it-t-es l-l-lik-ke c-c-c-ol-lor-ring in a l-l-long t-t-time. I d-d-draw... b-b-but ev-ven th-then I w-wor-r-ry," They'd had cocoa recently... hadn't they? Time seemed to mesh together lately. Perhaps he'd been trying to engross himself in work which simply wasn't coming to fruition? "D-d-do y-you th-think I sh-should t-t-try oth-ther th-things t-t-to d-d-d-dest-stress?"

"If the things you're doing to destress aren't working, then I'd think so." nodded the demon. "Try doing things you're so good at, you can't fail! You'll have fun and feel good all at once!"

Honey slipped past Sosal, spoon in mouth she was humming the rest of her song. So many serious faces today. Maybe this was another side, less like a coin and more like a die. She'd really only thought there had been happy and sad- but like everything else there were far more pieces to it. She started up the stairs. Stopped. Why go up- when she could go out? Oh right. Sunburned to hell. Lobster girl! RA! She sighed, music blaring, enjoying her shake and bouncing on the stair.

Kiran nodded slowly, finding a shirt and putting it on- mildly embarrassed for his indecency. "I'm af-f-fraid I w-w-was n-n-nev-ver g-g-good at f-f-find-ding th-things t-t-to d-d-do. Elen-nor, m-my w-wif-fe, w-w-as the only r-r-reas-son I saw sunl-light f-from t-t-t-ime to t-t-time. I h-have alw-ways b-b-been st-stuck in m-my w-ways."

Malachai watched him dress, he himself content in his pyjama pants. "Do you need someone to do that?"

Placing the final button through the eye, Kiran looked up, "I'm c-c-could-dn't ask f-f-for th-that. I sh-should b-b-be ab-ble t-t-to d-d-do it m-m-mys-self b-b-but I... I h-hav-ve alw-ways b-been c-cont-tent t-to f-f-f-fol-low som-meone elses l-l-lead.." He'd step into the bathroom a moment, closing the door enough for modesty and change into his pinstripe slacks before emerging again. "I g-g-get obsessed w-with th-things, f-f-ret ov-ver th-them, f-f-find a m-mom-ment of inspiration," he folded the pajama pants and neatly lay them on top of his dresser. "l-l-lose t-track of t-t-time and the l-l-like," he paused, looked at Malachai, ears drooping, "F-f-forg-give m-me I'm p-p-rat-t-t-tl-ling. I w-w-would-d n-n-not kn-know w-w-wh-where t-t-to st-start on m-my own."

Malachai, listening carefully, tilted his head quizzically, like a dog trying to understand something. "Do you want to change that?" he asked finally, wings flicking.

Kiran gave a small smile, putting a hand over his heart for a moment, "I sh-should w-want t-t-to, sh-should-dn't I? Elenor w-would w-want m-me t-to." He picked up his golden pocketwatch gently from a nest of handkerchiefs and attached it appropriately, "B-but as I s-said... I w-would-dn't k-know w-wh-where t-to b-b-eg-gin. I f-feel l-lost on th-this qu-quest-t-tion. I w-want t-t-to b-but I am unc-c-ert-tain if it is wh-what I sh-should w-want f-f-for m-mys-self."

"Most people I've met want happiness...don't you want that? Love, happiness, freedom?" That was all sinners seemed to want, at least, and Kiran was about as sad as they ever were.  

[Astra_Senpai]

He shook his head, his chest had begun to tighten a small amount but he did not feel manic. Looking up and then away from Malachai, " Wh-when I l-lost h-her all the c-c-color s-seemed t-t-to g-go out of the w-world... c-c-col-lor she h-had br-brought in w-with h-her in the b-b-beg-gin-ng." His jaw tightened and his tone as well, the tiniest flicker of rage at himself within it, "I f-f-failed h-her and f-failed m-mys-elf. I d-d-do n-not kn-know if I d-d-deserv-v-ve th-those th-things."

"So what? A lot of people have stuff that they don't deserve .At least you'd have the grace to know the difference. Besides, you may not deserve it in your mind, but I think you do. You actually sort of need it."

Kiran shook his head ever so slightly, that little flame extinguished. A small blush crossing the top of his nose, the cause quite debatable, "Y-you are t-t-to k-kind, M-M-Malach-chai. Y-you are c-c-cor-rect ev-ver-ryone n-n-needs th-those th-things."

"So, so do you!" he concluded, beaming. "S, what makes you happy? You like quiet, and books, and hugs, and cocoa and tea! What else?"
