Fenrir, I'm a writer too, but I don't stare at one aspect of a film. Yeah, the last half of the 28 weeks did seem ignorant, but if you lost your little sister(if you had one) in a dark tunnel with some zombies running around, would you not be so buzzed outta your brain that you'd call out to her, while being frantic?

It would take you being in the situation to know what you would do. I'm not sure what I'd do. XD

But thats an opinion, so its fine.

Btw, the music to Weeks was amazing, and that sold the film for me. XDDD

28 weeks later was the best, with 28 days leading in close 2nd.

28 weeks was like "We gotta get the hell out, right now. The infections back, and we're in the middle of it all."

28 days was like "Where are we going?! I don't know! LETS JUST GO! biggrin YAY! ADVENTURE! With zombies! "

As a horror writer and fan, I gotta disagree with you man. I ******** hated 28 weeks later, and thought it was a serious disappointment. I can take a lot of crap, but the number one thing I hate in all horror movies is dumb characters, and in 28 weeks later, that was pretty much everybody. The beginning sequence was awesome, but then the whole last half of the movie with the boy being obviously infected and nobody noticing/caring, and then his sister walking around in pitch black shouting just to let everything nearby trying to kill her know where she is just ruined the movie for me. 28 days later, however, was excellent. It brought an original and fairly believable storyline to the zombie-series, with the man waking up in a hospital and finding out that everything had gone to hell. The mines and smart way of how the 'new' army people dealt with rotating attacks from the zombies at night, and just an overall telling of the darkness of mankind during these times combined with excellent and pleasing action made for a great movie. btw they knew where they were going, they just didn't know if there would really be help or not.

Also, lets get ourselves straight on the zombie intelligence. Nobody ever really portrays them as having any kind of organized attack or stunning intelligence. We've seen them as fast, and I like that because slow zombies are just ******** stupid, but there is a big difference between being fast and being smart.

@rock: expect zombies to do what?

'Smart' zombies is what we mean by 'fast' because of some reason or another. *Shrug*

I can't stand most of the horror movies these days because they're just so ******** sick. DX I remember watching the newer version of Halloween and I stopped it because of the crappy plot and the sick, twisted part of it.
However, zombie horror movies I like, because it's so much more symbolic than you might think, and it's not like zombies rape people (...well, purposely. >,<) and go around killing them in the most gruesome ways possible.

I don't like fast zombies because the way they're made is so damn annoying. Fast, almost not possible to kill because it is a moving target and the head is so small...and everything else like a zombie on Crack. They remind me of immature people pretending to be so good at things. ><

@lenon: that's what makes them scary though. they're not supposed to be easy to kill. people just make fun of slow zombies, like shawn of the dead or zombieland. rule number one to surviving zombie-apocalypse is cardio ladies and gentlemen. mrgreen

Well, from what I've gathered most of you have said that you'd like to see 'special' zombie types rather than just your average hordes of undead. I like that too, but it also runs a risk of confusing viewers, so it'd have to be limited. Horror movie fans tend to like things to be simplistic and easy to understand, that's just the view I've gathered though.

*Yawn*

Zombies ,logically at least, should be fast. They are supposed to be humans with regressed brains thus their animalistic nature.

I wrote something but its not really "Zombies" More like a mutation.

DNA tampering and it also created an undesired side effect, it was the super soldier crap but it did succeed in creating a creature with heightened senses and high pain threshold and obviously unrelenting will. Problem it degraded the brain to the point its "Feral" and animalistic.

The boss of these guys is also a failed experiment he has all of those mentioned but his brain did not degrade, he is considered a failed experiment cause of his nature. He no longer considers humans to be in power cause he is "Perfect." thats his flaw that he is too blind to see.

A few other interesting mutations I created in that little novel of mine is a guy who has no reaction to electricity. His nerves and body can conduct high amounts of electricity due to his mutation and he allows electricity to run through him without a care.

I personally bum people out when I watch horror movies. I dont react and just gaze into the screen like it was some boring documentary.

Only horror film that made me move was the japanese "one missed call"
The grudge ... actually made me laugh at a point.

D< Oh well. I just don't like fast zombies, but that's probably because I'm a George Romero-ish person and I have actually read the Zombie books by Max Brooks. xD

What's the chance of an actual zombie apocalypse these days?

More realistically possible than you might think, from the research I've gathered.

You're welcome. mrgreen I'm asking the question of "what would you like to see in a zombie movie" and I'm gathering everybody's opinions since I find you guys to be more creative than most of my rl friends.
