Into the Labyrinth

Story
It was said that the Goblin King fell in love with a human girl named Sarah. She was young, beautiful, and loved fantasy and adventure. But she felt tortured by her Step-mother who made her baby sit her brother Toby. One such night she could take the pain no more and called out to the goblins to take Toby away. Little did she know they really were listening. After speaking the words, the goblins came and took Toby away into the Goblin Castle. The Goblin King appeared and offered Sarah her dreams in exchange for forgetting about the baby. As tempting as that was, she wanted Toby back more than she wanted a crystal ball. So, Sarah and Jereth made a deal; she had thirteen hours to solve the labyrinth and reach the castle beyond the Goblin City to rescue her brother.

Sarah faced many dangers and hardships inside the labyrinth, but also made irreplaceable friends. After fighting their way into the Goblin City and to the Castle, Sarah went on alone to face Jereth. She faced the Goblin King with courage and bravery. Jereth offered her anything she wanted in exchange for her loyalty and life, so long as she would be only his. Sarah proved he had no power over her and thus, she defeated the mighty Goblin King. She and Toby went some and back to their normal lives.

They say the story of Sarah and the Goblin King is just that-- a story. It wasn't true. It was just a fantastical story of adventure. At least... tat's what they want you to believe.

Setting
Twenty-five years after Sarah's trial through the labyrinth is where our story takes place. The setting for our tale is Hollywood, California the home of movies, talent, and dreams. The starting night where the adventure begins is a Masquerade Ball hosted by a Famous Actor at his private estate. A party where everyone is invited and a mysterious guest shows up...

Characters
Famous Actor- a human man who hosts the Masquerade Ball and plans on asking his girlfriend to marry him.

Famous Singer- The Actors girlfriend who is one of the most beautiful women alive.

Goblin King- Spoiled, cruel, and lonely he attends the ball and ends up falling for the Singer.

Labyrinth Guide- (can be male or female) Unwillingly works for the King. Knows everything about the Labyrinth.

Friendly Monster- (can be male or female) A scary looking creature who is nothing like he/she seems. He's/She's very friendly. Under a spell to make he/she a monster.

Brave Guard- (can be male or female) A guard who knows no fear and holds courage and bravery in his/her heart.

Goblin Attendant/Adviser- (can be male or female) Attends to anything the King wants. Has a higher standing than the other Goblins. Can also stand in for the King when he's gone.

Goblin Soldier- (can be male or female) Works for the King to protect his castle and the City.

The Labyrinth
The maze of the Labyrinth. It's a complex maze of twists and turns where it can seem like you are going the wrong way, but in fact it might be the right way. There are many hidden places and mysterious things to be found within these walls. The castle had been rebuilt since the time Sarah had ventured there. The old walls had started falling down and so new ones needed to be put up. Within the stone walls lies mystery.

Rules:
1. This is my thread so I am in charge.
2. Since there are limited spots only one character per person for the time being. Once all the main ones are taken I might create other rolls that can then be filled.
3. Be creative. In this world nothing is as it seems.
4. I encourage romance. Even though the Singer and the Actor are a match that doesn't mean they have to stay that way. It's just how they start out and to get both of them into the Labyrinth.
5. Keep things PG13 please. Which means I don't want your dirty scenes typed out. Time skip them please.
6. Type full paragraphs please. I like at least 400-500 words minimum.
7. Use post formats. They make things pretty and easier to see who is who.
8. Keep all OOC to the designated thread.
9. PM all profiles to me so I can read them.
10. Title PM "I am more than it seems... [CHARACTER ROLE]
11. Last but the most important... have fun.

Hello, my name is Jereth James and in this world I am the Goblin King. You may not know it but I'm 25. Pretty funny, huh?

Well, guess I should tell you about my past.
The name Jereth is passed down to each and every Goblin King and so there was little to no surprise that he should inherit the name as well. Only, this 'Jereth' didn't want such a title. James was the son of the Goblin King who had gone after Toby and Sarah, a tale his father told him many times over. It was a boring story to him, one he could have gone without hearing. Ever.

His mother was a lovely creature, one that has no particular name and one that didn't matter. All that mattered was she was beautiful and she partially filled the void in the old kings heart that Sarah had left behind. The woman had no real mind of her own, she was a living doll and had no real will of her own. James hated her. He hated that she could just sit there and not have to worry about anything.

Well, all that would end.

The old king and his fair queen would leave the castle and the labyrinth never to be seen again. This left young James to take the throne at the age of thirteen. He was young and still had time to grow before he would have taken the throne normally. But that left little time. James took the throne and from then his personality shifted. He went from curious and kind to closed off and cruel. The goblins were his subject and there fore they should do everything and anything he asked of them. Without so much as a moment's hesitation.

Soon after the new king turned twenty he began to travel in and out of the human world. It was a vast world filled with most peculiar thing. It was a world of possibilities. It was a world he wanted to explore. Being from a magical land meant he had some magical powers of his own and used them to enter parties and such.

One night, on his twenty-fifth birthday he came upon a masquerade. One, holding an encounter that would alter his path... and his heart.

While I'm at it, guess you need to know what I'm really like.
James is a spoiled king. He thinks everyone should bow down and fear him and to whatever he says. If he tells them to jump off a bridge, they better run to the closest one and jump from it's ledge. He will tolerate no back talking or any kind of sympathy for the enemy. Deep inside, James is lonely. He feels abandoned by his father and mother (although he hated them they were his parents, after all) and so he takes his anger and frustration out on his subjects. When the young king finds something he likes, he usually plays with it until it bored him and then he'll toss it aside. He has no need for things that do not make him happy.

Being told how beautiful he is

Bound by the powers of magic and time, I Berserker have been summoned. Tell me... are you my Master? You have pulled me from my long age of sleep and ask me to fight for you, but in this life I have been given a new name and a new reason to live.

In this human world I am now called Giselle Odette Hartman and I am 17, so please don't think I was waiting patiently for you. I have been waiting for far too long for this day. If you must know about this 'humans' history, I shall gladly tell you. My name is Giselle and I come from a very wealthy family in Paris, France. My father owns a large company of sorts and spends most of his time away from home. My mother is always out to parties and being else ware. I don't really care what she does. I have two older brothers, Ferris and Gregory (Ferris is the oldest and heir to my fathers company. Gregory is a playboy) who spend all of their time away on business and other such things. I pretty much get to spend my time alone in the mansion. I don't have any real friends, just toys that I play with until I get bored of them and throw them away. Most call me a spoiled b***h/brat depending on who you ask. I'm not a mean person, I just don't know how to interact with other girls my age or other people in general. I'm used to getting my way and getting everything and anything I want no matter how stupid or impossible it might be. I love a good challenge, and beneath all this hard exterior I'm really nice and gentle.

Well, I finally convinced my parents to let me vacation in Australia this year. I don't know why, but there was just something about it that called out to me. Maybe the desert and the ocean will help me decide my future. Oh, I wanted to get away because my parent's are going to make me marry some moron from another company. Something about merging ties or good business or something like that. Really, this man is not the least bit attractive. I want a prince who will sweep me off my feet.

My one true name is Arcana or Af, the Wrath of God and in my real time I am older than dirt. I am a heroic spirit brought forth from my time, do not take me lightly.

Before I awakened as the Servant Berserker, I was once a great and noble angel. I was of the highest Choir-- Seraphim. We protected God's throne and we dealt with the Court, judging those who had done wrong. One of the angels that passed through us was the Metatron, for having led Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Yes, the original Metatron was such a man. My original name was Af and my title was The Wrath of God. I was his unending anger and his hate. I was everything he could not be, and for that the others gradually became more and more afraid of me. Gabriel and I were secret lovers, for it was forbidden for an angel to love. He never loved me, not really, but I really loved him. Eventually he and the other Seraphim turned on me, framing me for the murder of the Archangel, Michael. I was sent to Earth, sentenced to live my life as a Grigori and watch the Earth for all eternity.

I only wish things had been so simple.

I entered the Earth and decided to pass some time by trying out life as a human. I took over the life of a girl who had died and took control of her life from there. Things were rather dull in the life of a human, and really I didn't see what was so special about them. Then there came a boy, a human boy who looked like my beloved Gabriel. My heart replaced this man with Gabriel and my mind gradually began to make the mistake that I was back in heaven and that everything had been a terribly bad dream. After five years of living on Earth as a human, Gabriel appeared before me and told me of my crimes. This time they weren't going to go so easy on me. It was Taboo for an angel to ever give herself over to a human. I was a broken soul; a damaged woman and now my mind was broken.

For being with a human they cut my wings off and broke my mind. Thin sanity shattered and made the way for endless despair and torment. I chased butterflies that weren't real. I talked to people that were dead. I was angry and I was trapped. I called forth my sword of light and took my anger and my wrath out on the humans. After this they couldn't leave me alone. The last sane thing I saw were crystalline blue eyes staring at me, looking at me like I was worthless-- my darling Gabriel's eyes. They bound me in demon cloth, a cloth that burns any angelic skin upon contact and threw me into a white room. Eventually I passed out from the pain, but my anger never faded.

In the past I was someone else entierly, but if you must know I will tell you.
I am what humans would call insane and mentally unstable. I'm not as bad as the mental patients, but I see everything like a child would. I chase things that no one else can see and I talk to people who are no longer among the living. I smile all the time and always act cheery and happy, but that doesn't mean I still won't rip your heart out and eat it for lunch. In fact, if I don't smile that is a bad thing. It simply means I am not in a forgiving mood and will be less likely to leave any one alive afterward.

I have great power stored in this body.
Call of the Seraphim- this attack turns her Holy Sword into a lightning rod and summons down a storm of white lightning. This was what she was known for as an angel and they called it the Wrath of God.
