"We'll be happy to attend your concert!" Alex's mother said with an enthusiastic nod, "Perhaps afterwards the four of us can go out for some dessert." After they had been seated and while they were waiting for their server, Alex's mother asked, "Which parts of Europe have you been to? As I understand it, Paris has always been well-known for opera."

"Well we lived in Italy but I would go with my mother and father during their business trips to France, Germany, England, and Sweden but we normally just went about France, Germany and England. We did manage to visit Paris for at least a week before finally setting for a year in Italy then moving to the US. I was pretty young so I can't remember the specific areas we went to in each country," She said as the server arrived and began to take their orders. She was sure to get the peach tea since it was delicious.

"It sounds like you've done a lot more traveling than most, even if you don't remember much," Alex's mother replied, "My husband and I would love to visit Europe, except we hardly have the time or the money for such a trip." Alex's parents ordered after Sofia, and when it was Alex's turn, he started with the Raspberry Lemonade for his drink, and the five cheese marinara dipping sauce to go with the breadsticks, along with a bowl of the Pasta e Fagioli soup. For the entre, he ordered the Ravioli di Portobello.

"Well I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to visit Europe. It's such a great experience. Perhaps we could all go on some family trip of sorts after school is over." She smiled and there foods were served and so she ate contenty, answering any questions etc. Soon they were all done and now headed off into the limo toward the theater. Les Misérables was such a great and powerful production. She cried every time she watched it. Theater had gotten her to love music so much after all...and that included singing but no one knew she was rather talented in that field.

The group arrived at the theater with plenty of time to find their seats, which happened to be in the middle towards the front. While they were in the lobby, Alex's parents happened to see another couple that they knew and stopped to chat for a few moments. As Alex was waiting, he felt a light tap on the arm. He turned to look and saw Penelope, who greeted him by saying, "Good evening, Alexander. I can't say that I expected to find you here." Alex shrugged and replied, "That just goes to show that there's more about me than meets the eye." "Good evening, Sofia," Penelope said to Sofia in a tone that was both an acknowledgement and a dismissal at the same time. Penelope might not have been surprised to find Sofia at the theater, but she probably was surprised by the way that Sofia was dressed. Even so, Penelope wasn't prone to gossip, and so it was very unlikely that she would tell anyone at school about meeting Alex and Sofia that night. Alex's parents rejoined them just then, and Alex performed the introductions by saying, "Mom and Dad, this is Penelope. She goes to our school and is the president of the honor society, and captain of the debate team and the chess team. Penelope, these are my parents." "It's a pleasure to meet you, Penelope," Alex's mother predictably said, which prompted Penelope to reply, "Likewise." "Are you here with your parents?" Alex inquired. "No, I am here with my boyfriend," Penelope said in return, and after pausing to glance around, apparently in search of said boyfriend, she added, "He went to make a pit stop, as he put it. I'm sure that he'll be right back." To tell the truth, Alex had no idea that Penelope had a boyfriend. Whoever this boyfriend might be, he obviously didn't go to the same school as Alex, Sofia, and Penelope, because if he did, everyone would know about him. Alex was guessing that the boyfriend was probably some preppy college guy.

Sofia gave a nod at Penelope who still seemed to hold herself higher than most of them as usual. Nonetheless she hadn't been one to harass her so there was no need to harbor any form of ill will toward her. She was a bit surprised that she had a boyfriend but Penelope was rather pretty and very smart so no doubt her boyfriend was just as smart as she, and much like Alex she figured that he may be a college student. His parents now met her and she was ready to go take a seat but nonetheless she stood with them and listened to their brief conversation. From afar a young man was walking in their direction. No doubt her boyfriend. It was hard to tell who it was at the moment.

When the young man arrived, Penelope performed the introductions by saying, "Drake, this is Alexander and Sofia King, and Alexander's parents. Everyone, this is my boyfriend Drake Millford." "Nice to meet all of you," Drake said in return. He seemed to be rather friendly to Sofia, but then again, it was likely that he was unaware of her usual style of dress and her reputation. Glancing at Alex's cast, Drake went on to say, "You must be the quarterback that Penelope has told me about. I hope that your injury isn't that serious." As could be expected, Alex put on a typical show of male pride by saying, "It looks much worse than it is, and my doctors are very optimistic that I will have a full recovery." Alex's attention was drawn to a lapel pin on Drake's suit jacket. It seemed to be the emblem for a college, but it was too small for Alex to make out. Apparently Drake was used to people asking about the lapel pin because he said, "I attend Miami University. The one in Ohio, not the one in Florida." "Oh, of course," Alex replied as if that was obvious.

Sofia stood there quietly after greeting Drake as well and watched as Alex and Drake spoke about his injury etc. She had once imagined herself being together with someone much like Drake who was good looking but clearly had the brains she sought out in a partner. She didn't really notice even now what grades Alex had and what not but soon they were told that the play was about to begin and so she followed everyone inside the theater where she sat between Alex and his mother.

It was a bit awkward for Alex to get to his seat, and there were a couple people who needed to shift in their seats in order for him to get past, but he was very apologetic about it, and they seemed to understand. Fortunately there was enough leg room for him, while his crutches could be placed out of the way on the floor. Alex still wasn't certain about whether or not he was going to like the show, but once it had started, he had been caught up in the story, and he found the music to be very impressive and breath-taking. Later on, when asked about which song he liked the best, he would reply that the song One Day More was his favorite. Alex was so moved by the show that when it ended, he managed to lift himself to his feet to join a standing ovation. When he got the chance, he said to Sofia, "That was incredible! Now I understand why you were so happy to come."

((OOC: FYI, I haven't seen the musical or the movie version, but at one time I owned the soundtrack of the Broadway production on CD, and more importantly, I have read the book. All of it. From cover to cover. That's a really long book, but I enjoyed it.))

As usual the performance was so moving that she shed a tear or two though most of the women did. She stood beside Alex clapping as well and they were soon outside, able to talk about the performance. In the car she listened to them talk about their favorite songs and hers was I Dreamed a Dream. Nodding she replied to Alex, "Yes, it's too great of a play to pass. I can watch it over and over again and it will still move me the way it did. Not to mention the music..." Smiling she inhaled deeply and felt rather relaxed.

It didnt' take them long for them to reach home and soon she said her goodbyes to his parents and she could now unwind even more. Every time she went to a musical like that she couldn't help but sing as well though she did so when alone. Thus as she took her shower she hummed the songs though as she sang On My Own a bit logner than she anticipated but luckily she could actually sing very well and didn't sound as if she were running her nails on chalkboard like some people.

(OOC: The recent movie that came out...just amazing! XD but the book is the only thing I need to get too hahaha whenever I have time I'm going to read it cover to cover! Anne Hathaway's version, in my opinions is the best. My favorite because of how raw it is.)

As Alex's parents were leaving, his mother suggested to Sofia, "When we have the chance, we should get together and write up a list of our favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals that we want to take the men to see." After his parents had left, Alex went to sit on the couch. Ordinarily he would be watching TV, but everything that was on at the moment seemed a bit trite and shallow after watching the musical, and Monday Night Football had already ended. After a while, he heard the faint sound of singing coming from the bathroom. Obviously Sofia was singing in the shower. Alex went and stood outside of the bathroom so that he could listen for a while. Even though he would be able to hear better if he went inside, he knew that would only embarrass her for a couple of different reasons. Eventually he went back to the couch to wait for his turn in the shower.

((OOC: Did they already pick up Bo from Debra's house, or do they still need to do that?))

Sofia had smiled to herself when she remembered what Alex's mother had told her. She would keep note of making a list and as soon as she was done with her shower she dried her hair as much as possible before putting up in a bun and walking out wearing a nightgown. She had left her glasses in the room as she walked over toward Bo and pat his head looking at him and noticed he seemed a tad bit...sad? Sighing she knew that she had neglected to take him out for a walk so she would have to do so the next day. In fact she would be out at the park with him for a while till she made up for it. Going over to the couch she sat down and looked at Alex and smiled at him letting him know that the shower was open and that if he needed help (as usual) she would go and assist him.

(OOC: Let's assume they picked him up XD )

"Yes, I could use a little assistance tonight," Alex replied as he got up to go collect some clean clothing, and he paused to add, "While you are waiting, you could tell me a little about those musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber. I've heard the name before, but I really don't know anything about him or his musicals." That suggestion would serve two purposes. First, it would satisfy his curiosity about those musicals, and second, it would also give Sofia something to do while he showered. Most likely she found just sitting there to be rather dull.

Once in the bathroom she helped him with whatever he needed then sat at her usual spot, telling him what he had asked for. It was nice to do something while waiting and it was a subject she didn't mind talking about. She told him about some that she had seen though it was clear that when she went she always went alone, her parents never mentioned in any one of her experiences. They were uncaring and neglectful after all. It was rather surprising that she turned out the way she did...most would end up acting out etc.

(OOC: So once they head off to bed I'll time skip to Friday )

Alex listened to what Sofia had to say, and when she had finished, he remarked, "Those musicals do sound like they are very entertaining. If they are about as good as Les Miserables, then I'm sure that I'll enjoy them just as much." Once he had finished his shower and had gotten dressed again, he went to the bedroom and settled into bed for the night.
