[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Mal waved after Stella's leaving, then looked to Terry for the question. "Oh, yeah. We met months ago, around Violet's birthday. I needed some advice, and he was kind enough not to kill me." he smiled. "Besides, my kind has known legends of his for ages; his breed is best known by the Egyptians."

Watching Azana, Sosol and Stella leave, Remy leaned over the bar toward Max and explained in grim and gory detail what exactly Nirro did in exacting justice.

Shadow walked into the the inn of peace in his demon form his long black hair flowing about him he wasnt wearing a shirt wich showed a very muscular form. On his hip was two katanas wich where black as obsidian the blades where also wearing only a baggy pair of loose fitting pants he looked around with his glowing red eyes and looked to see if there was anyone here who he rembered. Seeing that no one from first glace that he knew Shadow walked over to a table and sat down taking the katanas off of his hip he set them on the table and looked around the inn taking Inn and taking in all the details making sure that he didnt miss anything. Shadow smiled to himself his extremley large canines showing bright white as he did so he thought to himself. "It has been far to long since i was here last but the things that i left to get done needed to be done for a reason i am trully glad that everything is safe here."

A single sniff had Malachai's head turn in shock. Another demon? Walking in and sitting down, just like that? And nobody, not a single person, was raising a fuss or alarm? He looked to Terry, Max, Remy, Tyler, any of them for an answer to this sudden happenstance.

He paused for a moment, appraising the demon in the room. Old. powerful, but not insurmountable. His spaded tail twitched.

Why was nothing being done about this?!

Kyou looked down from the rafters. Seems there was a modest celebration of sorts... Ah- yes the commotion mentioned seemed to have been handled. A new... being- or an old one, who knew. Kyou leaned back into the corner, content to listen as always. No need to disturb them.  

[Azana Brown]

Max grew either giddy or pale based on what turn the story took. "Yeah. Totally worse than Cuccos..." She said at last, wide-eyed. "Guess it serves the rat b*****d right, but damn...I'd 've expected it outta someone else. Anyone else."

Tyler glanced up, quirking an eyebrow at the entrance. He looked familiar...like they had met a long time ago. The mannerism, though...that was familar, too. It suddenly hit home; he had seen him...but more recently, heard plenty about him.

"Shadow," he mostly answered himself, though it was also an address to him. He glanced to Malachai, gauging the reaction. He was sizing up the other...and that's when it hit him. Shadow was a father to Zulma, an older guardian of the Inn...and a demon. It begged a question of equality and fairness. Why was Malachai under scrutiny (though less and less as of late), while this one got a free pass...?

He leaned in with a sigh, whispering to the incubus. He wanted to make sense of it for him, but he felt nothing would work. Might as well just give the facts. "Zulma's dad, in a way. Long story."

Terry gave an impressed nod to Shadow, in particular taking in the two blades. The metal reminded him of the revenant's blade, but it was better crafted into a sleek katana. This hardly seemed like a time to geek out over it, though...his curiosity and thirst satiated, he offered a wave to everyone and retreated upstairs.

Remy nodded gravely. "Buuuut, seems that that's only gonna happen if you screw up as bad as Charles did, so I believe we are solidly in the clear, babe!"

Father? She did not have demon blood in her whatsoever; this wolf demon was not a relative of hers at all! The look he shot Tyler firmly stated that this did not justify anything at all, and was downright insulting. "Tell me...does he have any binds? Any angels breathing down his neck, monitors for his actions?"  

[Azana Brown]

Tyler glanced aside, shaking his head. "None...I can see where this is going, Mal. He predates our problems with Kasdeya, Azana's status here at the Inn...everything, really. He's been here from the start. There's not much arguing with that." It was the intersection of unfortunate timing and a bit of discrimination...nothing more. But it could be less...they needed to confront that angel, but Az was in hardly the condition to do it now.

"That's a relief! Woulda been crazy ta see, I'm sure!" Max blinked, looking over to Ty and Malachai. "Wacha think they're talkin' 'bout...? The big guy, maybe...?"

Malachai scowled deeply, taking a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Those were all fair things, but in the end, he felt he'd been played for a fool by every person under the roof. Betraying his own kind, being constantly audited, only to see they'd allowed demons all along.

He shook his head with a wounded glare, and stalked off into Felix's room.

Remy blinked. "Uhh...Ty? What happened? Did- ohhhhh, oh, shoot. That dude's a demon, right...crap."  

[Azana Brown]

Tyler frowned, watching Malachai leave for Felix's room. "...yeah. I think everyone forgot about that. Mal's pretty hurt; I don't blame him. We need to have a serious conversation. With Violet. With Gren. And with the voice in Az's head."

"Don't forget Stella...she could unlock 'im totally, ya know?" Max kicked her legs from the bar stool. "He's been nothin' but nice...it can't be fair. I thought we were nice until they did somethin', not before."

Remy nodded, frowning. "Eeeyah. When Stella's up to it, I think we'll have to ask her, cause he's been taking a lot of guff for us, and he's still treated second-class...poor guy."

He sighed, getting himself a blood pack. "The hard part'll be Violet, really. And Baraquiel. I think Gren'll be the easiest sell, but that's probably just because he's nice."

He was manic. The new addition of hearts he'd never heart and adjusting and now- some more. The Jacobs were back, a few unfamliar beats, Malachai... Kiran listened silently from his room. It was certainly a valid question. Closing his door- Kiran wished to hear no more. Sitting atop his desk, his perch when sleep refused to come. Kiran glanced back towards his untouched bed and Elephant. Losing himself in thought.

Kyou peeked out only a small amount, watching the group. Poor Malachai. Was that all true? It must be. Kyou sighed softly. Perhaps Malachai would like a day hunting mushi with Kyou in the near future. That always cheered Kyou up.

Felix looked up from his work as Malachai came in. He frowned slightly, tired blue eyes scanning the demon from behind his glasses. "Mal? What's wrong...?"

He was quiet as he shut the door and walked straight in, sitting square in Felix's lap (lifting an arm to let himself in) and firmly planted his forehead against the cat man's shoulder. His expression was a thunderclap of hurt and anger, nose wrinkled as if he didn't want to let on how badly he'd been wounded.

"Why do I have to be hated, Felix?"

He stiffened slightly, not at the contact but rather at the comment. Setting down his paperwork, he wrapped his strong arms around the demon. "What? Nobody hates you. Why would you say something like that?"

"Well, I just got back after hunting down this nun who got kidnapped by some revenant guy, and I had to bully her and lie to Kaz like usual, and then I came back here and they killed the revenant and that was all okay but then this wolf demon fella shows up and just sits down, and nobody's making a fuss or anything! Tyler says he's Zulma's dad, but I can smell that they aren't related at all."

He snorted, then sniffed, face hidden. "But, since he's been here a long time, you know what that means? There's been a demon living here, all this time, without having to hide, or play nice, or prove that he's gonna be friendly, or, or anything! I've worked so hard, for months, just to get 2/10 of my powers back, and this guy's free to do anything? It isn't fair! Why only me? What'd I ever do wrong? Tam doesn't have to prove anything, that guy doesn't have to prove anything...why am I the only one getting treated like this?"
