[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

The catman felt and old familiar anger ripple through him, one that he had thought he had buried in the deepest, darkest corner of us mind. As gently as he could, he took Mal's face between his giant palms and spoke in his low, soft rumble, "Malachai, listen. You've never done anything wrong." he said, making the demon look him in the eye, "I wan't trusted when I first came here either. People are cautious, and do not like outsiders that have the ability to cause them harm. This trial that you are going through will pass, and soon these people will be like family to you..." he pushed down the dark, possessive feelings that were beginning to claw their way back out of his soul, "Trust me, Mal. It will get better, you only have to be patient."

Garnet looked to cobalt, nose wrinkling in a little sniff. "...you mean it? Is it really going to be worth it..? I mean...they've just been so mean, Felix. I already get enough trouble for what I am at work, I don't need more in a place I'm trying to live willingly..."

He pressed his forehead to the demon's, gently stroking a dark cheek with his thumb. "I mean every word."

He closed his eyes with a soft sigh, settling down somewhat. "Well...I trust you, anyhow..." he half-smiled. "You've never done me wrong."  

[Raigon The Ice Titan]

Shadow noticed everyone looking at him and that there was another demon as the demon was eyeballing him and looking hurt Shadow got up to his towering heigth and started to approach the bar his katana in his hands. There was a deadly calm about him the only thing thus far that had made shadow angry was the fact that the other demon was questioning him and him being Zulma's father as he started to get more irritated as he walked the light in the inn seemed that it was starting to get sucked into a void of darkness it got noticiably darker in the inn as shadow approached the bar his eyes glowing a even brighter red as he approached the bar he sat there and waited for the bartender to approach him.

The normal bartender was already upstairs and resting after a long day, so he got Tyler instead. He was relatively short compared to quite a few men at the Inn, but Shadow had him feeling even smaller. The outward calm, the slight hint of irritation, and the glowing red eyes didn't help.

"Let me get you something," he said at last, feeling a little less comfortable behind the bar than Sol but still capable nonetheless. "I can explain while I do. The Inn's had some demon trouble in the past year or so...Malachai there was far from trusted when he came in. He's been kind of put through the wringer in order to prove his good intentions and keep the others safe, and it really hurt him to see you walking around with no such restrictions."

He looked into those red eyes and said the last statement with all the resolve he could muster, being tired and a bit intimidated by Shadow's imposing presence. "I intend for that to change very soon." He set down a drink, a relatively safe choice he hoped Shadow would like, and left the bar. He needed rest, too, particularly if he was going to be pondering the minefield of time travel.

"So, um, Remy...? We still gotta get Marilyn, yeah?" Max said quietly, leaving Tyler to deal with Shadow and wishing him luck. "...I don't think we're gonna have the whole A-Team, an' I was thinkin'...maybe..."  

[Gren_Eckener]

Remy hummed, smiling slightly. "You want in on this one?"

Upstairs, Gren knocked at Violet's door. She'd been awfully quiet lately, and with the recent events, he wanted to be sure she was all right. "Violet?"  

[Azana Brown]

"I know I ain't much of a fighter an' all against the big wigs, but mosta the peeps are just normal dudes," Max smiled. "I already got an advantage...so yeah...I wanna do one a these with all y'all."

"Come in," Violet answered quietly, glancing up and frowning. Her hair was messy, and the circles under her eyes implied a lack of sleep. She had pictures and drawings up with varying grades, but the desk would stand out, scattered with sketches and color drawings of the sort not seen out of her in a while.

Remy grinned. "Got one of those Barrier materia too?"

Gren walked in, taking a moment to look around the room in mild awe. "Violet...how long have you been awake?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Ya know, I didn't even think a that," Max giggled sheepishly. "I just carry 'round my Grav one...but that's totally a cool idea! I could even pull out my best MC Hammer!"

"...I'm not sure," she answered, clearing away a few papers to look at the clock. "Two days, maybe...? I lose track..." She looked down to one of the pictures and shuddered, sliding it under one a bit less graphic.

"Hey, yeah!" he grinned. "And, whatever you don't get, I've got yer back! We'd make one hell of a whiz-bang duo!"

He sighed, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Then it's probably time to have something to eat."  

[Azana Brown]

"Ya mean it...?!" Max beamed, practically vibrating with enthusiasm. He hopped out of her seat, rushing off to the basement. That old box was somewhere, with Ty's scanner. She'd show 'em how much of a badass she could be!

"...you're probably right," she said, wavering a bit as she stood. She looked down at the pictures again. "Gren...I can't help drawing these...but I don't know why. My inspiration scares me sometimes..."

Remy grinned after Max, smiling dopishly in affection. That girl was nothing but fun. He glanced to Shadow. Yikes.

Gren sighed, offering a hand. "I don't know if it's cathartic for you or not, but it looks like one of those things that's just not something you can fight...maybe you have a bit of second sight in you."  

[Azana Brown]

There was the sound of coughing from downstairs, a rustle, a few mechanical noises...in a few minutes, Max returned, dusting off her outfit. "Man, we oughta get JIM down there," she said, before holding out the orb. "But there's the pretty!"

"Second sight...?" Violet blinked, taking his hand for guidance and support. "I...don't know about that, but I think you're right. About not fighting it, I mean. It's just-- it makes school difficult."

"I see but since when has there been animosity against the racist and even if there was this is a place of peace a place where all races may come and not be percicuted has the original plan for this place not been reached?" As Shadow said this his voice seemed to echoe from every darkness in the room not shouting for voice is carrying powerfully carrying in the voice the power he has gained from the eons that he has been alive. "I am sorry if i am intimidating it is trully hard for me to hold back my powers all the time for you i shall try though." Shadow closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he did so the light in the room seemed to return to its former amount of brightness. When Shadow opened his eyes again they where no longer glowing red the pupils where not even red they where ice blue almost pure white and there was no pupil as if he was blind. "Is this better for you?"
