Remy frowned slightly, hoping his next words weren't the case. "It, ah...wouldn't happen to be some creepy post-apocalypse-style stuff with people we know, would it?"

Violet sputtered on a spoonful of macaroni and cheese, narrowly avoiding inhaling her dinner. After a few coughs, she looked to Remy. "Th-there was some...kinda like that, yeah..." She was growing frightened...was Remy in her sketchbooks, or was he drawing the same? And why would that ever happen?
"There's also...a monster...red and black, shining claws, lots of b-b-blood," she gulped, shoving the picture aside so she could actually finish her dinner.
Max didn't say anything (an odd thing for her), but her eyes said everything as she looked to Remy. How'd she start drawing it, too? Had Remy mentioned it? No...not to anyone besides her.

Remy sighed deeply, rubbing his temples. Damn. He was hoping that he wasn't getting worse, but it seemed inevitable, "Awright, we can have a pow-wow later on this later. But that ain't good...on the plus side, I can assure you that one of those things is not gonna be a problem for you!" he offered with a grin.

"...the monster," Violet answered, a little comforted that she wasn't alone in it...but completely terrified by the same. How were they drawing the same things...? Gren's suggestion of second sight entered her mind, but no, that couldn't be it. She was nothing like Sol or Kristen...she didn't see anything. Just ideas...ones that sprang to life on paper.
"Yeah! So, um, can I at least try a little chili?" Max asked, watching it hungrily. "I know ya wanna wait 'til tomorrow, but I can at least make sure the seasoning's right."
"Go ahead..."

"Chili is easy," Violet blushed, fidgeting a little. "I r-remember...we'd make it for a big pitch-in. We'd have it for days...until I was sick of it."
"Missin' it a little?" Max asked, blowing on a spoon before taking some. "Whoa! I can see why!"
"I was hoping...that everybody would enjoy dinner...like they used to," she answered. "And...I haven't have chili in a while."

"You can eat it earlier," Violet said, watching the crock pot, "but it tastes better if you let it cook for a long time...a day is usually enough."
"I can't wait!" Max beamed before gasping. "Remy! Tomorrow's dinner! You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"

"Well that is good that is solved for now but if anything happen do not hesitate to come and get my help." The big demon smiled again at the smell but decided to show a temid side that he didnt usualy show except to his daughter he walked back slightly out of the way and looked a bit hesitant as if not knowing how to approach Violet and ask for some seeing as he did not like to intemidate young woman because in his eyes all females needed to be protected with some exceptions.

"Household chili party! Everyone'll be in a good mood and rested up and stuff!" Max beamed, cheerful again. "An' we can get some stuff done, if ya know what I mean!"
Violet blinked, a bit lost on the conversation. She finished her mac, washing out the bowl and leaving them to their talk. As long as they didn't steal her chili, and she knew they wouldn't, it would all be okay. Shadow almost seemed to be waiting on her as she walked out, but she didn't shrink back.
"We're having chili tomorrow," she announced. "Let it cook for now..."

Violet startled a little, stones glimmering until she settled down. "Chili is...um, almost like a stew. A hearty, spicy stew...lots of beans and tomato and meat," she did her best to explain...everyone she knew knew chili. "People do a lot with it...some people serve it on pasta, some put cheese on it, some put it on hot dogs..."

Max followed Remy, standing on tip-toe to give him a light peck. "So, yeah...I'm gonna try an' sleep. Tomorrow's gonna rule!" She hugged him quickly, heading off for the stairs. A special mission, chili, negotiations...she was living in the fast lane, now!
Violet nodded to Remy's addition. "Thanks...and there will be plenty. I used the biggest pot I could find..."
