[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Gren smiled, gesturing for her to look around with him, taking a step down to show Azana. "The biggest hurdle, I think, has been jumped." he said softly.

Malachai smiled a little. "Thank you, Violet...I'll keep glamoured, so you can get used to the idea...but I'm really, really glad."  

[Azana Brown]

"...your tail," Violet said after a pause, almost echoing his relief. For a little bit, she thought that Jeff had some competition. This was all he was hiding. It was huge, yes, and would take a lot of getting used to...but how could she hate him? "Mr. MacPere has one...you can, too..."

Azana blinked, watching them and overhearing the conversation. "Well, I'll be--"

"Blessed," Bara interjected. "You truly believe this...the noble damned."

"Welcome to the world of grey. Shall I give you the tour?" Azana quipped, looking upward.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Really?" he smiled, letting himself be a little hopeful. "A-all right!" He allowed his tail free of the spell, letting her see it. "It's just like his...nothing too exciting."

"Miss Angel, I presume..." smiled Gren, speaking quietly. "I need you to watch this...he's admitted to a lie, asked forgiveness from the charge we've all sworn to protect, and got accepted for what he is, all based on what he's done while living here I need you to tell me what exactly he's done wrong within the rules of the household, so much that he deserves oppression."  

[Azana Brown]

"It really is...!" Violet was surprised...she was expecting at least a slight difference, but there it was. Identical to the redhead's in every way.

"I thank you for not throwing my name around so lightly," she spoke through Azana, glancing to him through her eyes. "You and my charge both hold a belief in a demon's benevolence. As I speak, I can sense two more within. The demons, in general, are dangerous enough by nature alone in human presence. Were he not in a neutral sanctuary, I would smite him on sight, usually." She paused, Azana's eyes blinking as she caught wind of the angel's next message. Astounding, really.

"All that being said, Grencia, I am reminded that as the actions of the few do not speak for the many, the actions of a whole do not necessarily encompass every individual. Shadow's work in making such a place, beloved and protected by beings of all races and creeds, is to be commended. I am...surprised, by the actions of the damned in this environment. As a result...I will stay my hand, and avert my gaze. However, I remain an incantation away from my charge. I will not leave you forsaken...but rather, to your own will. Do not bring me shame or regret for this decision."

And she was gone. The presence was all but faded, save for the connection in Azana's spirit, and the woman leaned against the wall. "...I wish she'd realize...how much her long speeches take..."

He flicked it, giving a wave with a tip. "It's really sensitive, though, so I'm afraid I can't let you pet it. But, i-if I can also let out my horns? They're not very big and scary...but, but I'll leave my wings away."

Gren smiled a little, sighing. "Probably not...but I think she could probably use a break herself,...Wanna head down and own up to our part of the charade?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Probably a good idea," Azana agreed, taking the stairs slowly and steadily. Chili sounded like an amazing idea after the past few draining days...hopefully everyone would gather relatively quickly. Speaking of relatives...she sent a mental prod to her darling cousin, who would probably want to unseal Malachai as soon as possible.

"A-alright," Violet nodded. If they weren't very big and scary, it shouldn't be too bad...she couldn't help but remember the really big guy, with the really big horns. What was his name again..?

Gren offered her a hand as they walked down. "This job just desn't get any easier sometimes..."

Malachai sprouted his horns. They were short, pointy, and cute.. "Nothing too bad, right?"  

[Azana Brown]

"I don't mind a little easy now and then," Azana chuckled, taking him up on the offer. "Gotta keep myself in good shape, right? Can't take everything being hard."

Violet smiled, reaching up to poke at one. "They're...kinda cute..." She glanced past him to Gren and Azana, waving to them with her free hand. "Hello...!"

"Yeah, even when the hardness comes to you..." he smiled, leading. "Hey you two...mind if we join this conversation?"

Mal beamed at the pet with a little chuckle. "Ah~. Oh, uh...sure!"

Gren nodded, sitting. "Well, Violet...I'm sorry that we had to lie to you, but it seemed like the only reasonable medium at the time." he said, right up front.  

[Azana Brown]

"Malachai told me," she answered. "I...I probably wasn't able to handle it back then. It's st-still an adjustment...but as long as I don't think too much about it, it's okay." She giggled at Malachai's reaction; so the horns were okay. She gave them a light rub.

"Well, now that you know...maybe he can help you out of that phobia," Azana grinned. "You've been freed of a lot, Violet...but this is one you get to do yourself. Imagine how it'll feel when it's gone."

"I already like Hemmy, and Malachai, and the tattoo oni," Violet nodded. "B-but...I can't be afraid of everything that walks in...I...I'll do it..."

Malachai sighed happily, eyes shutting some. "That feels nice...horn rubs are like a massage, Violet..."

Gren nodded, looking appropriately apologetic. "Well, that still doesn't excuse a lot of what we've done...but I'm glad that you're okay with this."

"I'll help! I can do it!" he smiled, blinking awake after the pet. "I may be a demon, but that doesn't mean I'm mean!"  

[Azana Brown]

"...it doesn't, no...but you always have my welfare in mind," Violet answered Gren, giggling at Malachai. "I'd never think you're mean..."

Azana let the two converse; she wasn't apologetic about lying to Violet. Lies had their uses...but it always seemed it was temporary.

Stella walked downstairs, shooting a mildly annoyed glance to Azana before approaching the crowd. To her surprise, Malachai had horns and tail showing...and Violet was petting one of them? Okay, that was new. "Well, doesn't take much to figure out why I was mind-zapped."

Malachai beamed, hugging Violet. "Yay! I get to stay and keep my friend!"

Gren glanced back with a half-smile. "You all right?"  

[Azana Brown]

Violet laughed, hoping Jeff wouldn't get too jealous of her hugging him. After all, she made her feelings for him pretty clear. "You get to stay...!"

"Yeah, I'm fine...Az just likes finding new and irritating ways to get my attention," Stella answered, folding her arms. "So, I'm guessing full release...? He should count himself lucky that I could reconfigure it in the first place...otherwise we'd have to look for whatever spurned lover did it."

"Yes, your power is as grand as your beauty, blah, blah, blah," Azana teased her cousin. "I'm hungry and could use a drink, so sort this out so we can celebrate, already."

"There's chili in this for you." chuckled Gren. "Mal, Stella's here...it's time you got that seal off."

Mal, half-nuzzling Violet's cheek, perked up. "Really? Right now?" Delight! He sat up, smiling quickly to Violet, and rolled up his sleeve. "Look, look! I've had my power bound, see?" he showed the girl. "As an insurance measure."
