[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Gren furrowed his brow, confused. "Well, I wouldn't try altering it, since I don't know how it works...why?"

He chuckled, picking up Violet and giving her a spin in a hug. "I'm not, I'm not!" he cheered, cuddling his friend. "I have my powers back, and I can think clearly! I bet...hey, I'm gonna do a trick!" he grinned, letting her down, concentrating a moment before suddenly appearing rather...different.



"Sweet! I can shapeshift again!" cheered the succubus.

Violet's jaw dropped as Malachai became a woman right before her eyes. "Wh-what..."

"Oh, that's just not fair..." Stella commented. "Hot both as a guy and a girl...?"

Tyler was a mite distracted, though his periphery took note of Malachai's sudden femininity. "Well, let's just say we have even more common ground than before," he answered, ebbing between current conversation and how to work with the transporter to get it back to optimal function. "My excursion wasn't far so much as it was long. I still don't know how Zulma's taking the news..."

She laughed, then changed back. "Succubi and incubi are practically the same thing, after all...I just prefer sticking with that I started with." smiled Malachai. "Cool, huh?"

Gren smirked a little to the demon's enthusiasm, then gave Tyler a look, trying to piece things together. "You mean...it wasn't that long for you, was it?"  

[Azana Brown]

"The hike, research, and retrieval took us a little over a week," Tyler answered him quietly, not wanting to worry the others. "I flash us back here from Lardeyrol and find myself no longer dressed for the weather. Once this stuff is in the right place, I've got a lot of diagnostic data to look over."

"That's...that's amazing!" Violet smiled, suddenly wanting to draw what she would consider a gender-bent Malachai. "What else can you do now...?"

"...That only took you a week? Ty, you were gone for months...were you lost in the ether for nearly three months?"

"Well! I can cast magic spells, cause and remove nightmares...this here's my cute seduction mode; I have a big scary form for when I'm punishing sinners, so I don't do that. I charm, I seduce...Incubus stuff!" he grinned cheerfully. "We're really simple folks."

"Oh..." Violet grinned, nodding in understanding of the whole thing. "I bet the nightmare power comes in handy...."

"From your perspective, yes," he answered, "but it was just an instant for Zulma and I...my current working theory is that her grandfather got too curious and threw off the calibration. We landed in the right place, but far after we should have. I'm running diagnostics now on to find what he altered...but I'm not sure if it's possible, and definitely sure it isn't safe, to try and reverse it."

"It sure does! I've ben using it to help Felix sleep for months!" he smiled proudly. "Now, since all of my powers are back? He'll be able to sleep through the night, no problem!"

"...Do you think it'd be possible to give it a time-release switch, and a homing function? Like a timed camera, and it could automatically return.That way, if it's still time-warping, you could tape it to an object and send it across the room, see how long that takes, and then how long to return."

"That's great...!" Violet smiled. She would have asked him to remove hers...but she hadn't had many. Just those drawing fits.

"Perhaps..." Tyler nodded, mulling it over. "Considering the location calibration is still spot-on, it may just be a matter of reconfiguring the temporal stabilization algorithms. At least, that's my hope...I've never seen a displacement so large before. A couple minutes, maybe an hour in the early stages. Not months." He was excited at the prospect of accidental time-jumping...but at the same time, his malfunction cost them three months. He was reasonably okay with it...but he hadn't dared talk to Zulma since returning. She didn't deserve to get caught up in it...and yet, this was the same woman who didn't mind being lost in those swamps for weeks on end.

"Either way, it's good to be back, and with presents, no less."

"Did someone say presents?" James asked, walking in the door with an empty case. He looked at the makeshift array of bottles on the table...including a wine bottle, and laughed. "You really went all out to bring it back, didn't you?"

Malachai nodded, trilling. "If you're ever having trouble sleeping, just let me know! I make bad thoughts go away!"

"Well, if you need comparison, there's always the old one..." smiled Gren, waving to James.  

[Azana Brown]

"Um, th-thanks..." Violet grinned. She probably wouldn't take him up on it; Jeff seemed the jealous type.

"Thank you...I'd probably want to scour the programming of both and see what he messed up." Tyler said, chuckling to James' observations. "A bit, yes...but we have more than enough for a stable crop for a while."

"Fantastic!" James beamed, already packing up the goods. "I knew I could count on you." He paused, clearly feeling a bit awkward about actually thanking his rival. "After all, you make an excellent gofer." That was better.

"You're welcome," Tyler answered, letting the second half slide. For now.

Azana watched the two from the bar, shaking her head. Would they ever get over it...?  

[Astra_Senpai]

Kyou's head shook. This was a little much, but still very exciting! It was odd the changing of Malachai... what a fun trick! Was trick the right word? Perhaps power. Kyou's legs dangled over the rafter, the bottoms very much black despite one being wrapped in slightly off white bandages. Curious about the bottles, but content to stay very much out of the way, Kyou hummed softly. Hungry.

He nodded, smiling. "Hey, hey, I know we hafta wait until the others get back for chili, but do you want some snacks? Like, those neat cheese and cracker things?"

Gren rolled his eyes at the banter, grinning to Azana. That was a pleasant dose of normal for the day.

Violet giggled, finally standing. "Sure," she answered. "Lead the way."

Azana smirked. "Oh, just kiss and make up already," she teased with a wink.

"Wh--that's just not cool, Az!" James answered her, sliding the last bottle into the case. "I'll be back for chili; I want to get that lovely plant some water!" With a loud pop, he vanished.

Tyler rolled his eyes. Not a chance...there were other people he'd much prefer to kiss. "Anyway," he said, getting back to business. "I guess I won't be going on any wild adventures until this is fixed."

Stella looked around...where did the pointy-eared guy go...?

Malachai sneaked his hand into Violet's, and he led the way into the kitchen. "I don't know why, but I really like those things with fake cheese in them...is that normal?"

"What, the old wanderlust wasn't slaked already?" teased Gren. "Anyway, how was your trip? What all happened?"

Kyou slowly dangled down to the floor. A glimmer caught the green eyed gaze. Blinking... what was-? Kyou would look to the pretty blond woman, head tilting to the side. Waiting.
