JIM began sweeping the footprints, leaving the chibis to clean Honey the old-fashioned way.

"Well, that's that," Marilyn smiled, jumping the last piece for what it was worth. She had just beaten a demon at checkers...but she couldn't have cared less.

Max was indeed inside, Remy's ears picking up on her breathing if he focused. She was just out cold, likely either wiped out from Halloween parties or resting up for a new batch.

Azana left the room sleek, clawed, and ready to go. She knew Remy would be close behind...but what about Sosol? Whatever he was doing with Violet seemed intense; maybe she was on her own again. Except for Remy, of course.

Violet approached a door, one that appeared to be the end of the path. So...it's through here...?

It's your head. You tell me, Sosol answered, standing behind with hands in pockets. At this point, if you want me to stay here, tell me. Otherwise, I'm following you in there.

Her knees shook beneath her skirt, unsteady hand reaching for the knob. She wanted to know...but at the same time, she desperately wanted to hold onto the idea of normality. She didn't want to be the weird sister again, the center of attention, the target. I...I don't know...I don't think I can do this...

If you do nothing, nothing will change, Sosol told her calmly. If you know why this is happening, perhaps then you can do something about it, make it manageable. Knowledge is power.

I-I know that...! S-sorry... She glanced back, just now realizing her hand was grasping the knob. Before she could think through to regrets, she turned the knob and threw the door open.

Honey giggled, trying to not flail but failing horribly, "'Ey no'! Ew! Wha'! F'e, Zip'o-!"

Kiran blinked, watching the chibi. They... they looked very similar to that mouse that had been terrorizing him in his room. And their hearts beat so fast! He was delighted... and they seemed to like the pink haired urchin. He sipped at his tea and honked a soft laugh.

Kyou fidgeting a moment, eating the other half of the sandwich in one large bite. Standing up and waving the man to follow. Perhaps he would wish to see the mushi now? ...well the jars at least.

"Suwiito!"
"Yami!"
"Shuga!"
"Iitiit!"

Malachai nodded, tail swaying. "Yup, you sure did! Beat a devil in his game, yes you did. Good job!"

Remy grinned, sneaking in silently, pecking her cheek before leaving, rejoining Azana. "Ready?"
PostPosted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 8:21 pm
Azana looked over to Remy, sparks dancing between the claws on her glove. "Let's find us some Kuros to rough up."

Tyler closed his laptop, toting the whole setup in his bag. He'd follow her upstairs, but he'd need to pick up a couple things to analyze invisible beings. His thoughts trailed to Zulma...he hadn't seen her since they returned. Was she alright, just traveling as she loved to do...?

"Why thank you," Marilyn gave a head bow out of respect for an opponent, even if he was infernal. "That sandwich is really hitting the spot..."

Max stirred lightly in her sleep, rolling over and pulling the blankets tighter around her.

Sosol was the first to open his eyes, tilting his head as he pulled away and looked down to Violet. "...are you alright?"

"I...I think so," she said, rubbing a little at a temple. "I...do you...do that often?"

"Yes. It helps me sort out all the things I see and hear. It's my own form of meditation." He grinned, smoothing out a little of her hair. Turning to look at the rest of the room, his eyes settled on the sandwiches. "And that is an excellent way to get reoriented."

"...peanut butter?"

"Eating. Eating, or drinking, or exercise...something to ground you back in your body," he explained, handing her sandwich to her. "Otherwise, you get a sort of floating sensation, like you're not quite all there."

Remy grinned, brow furrowed in excitement, fangs bright. "Bangarang."

Malachai nodded agreeably, having finished his, licking his hands of the sugar and peanut butter. "I definitely wanted a sandwich and I didn't even know it! Honey must be awfully clever! I just love human food, don't you?"

Kyou would pause at the door of the given room. Patting down thin form, Kyou sighed "I have left the key in the rafters, excuse me," and went back downstairs.

Honey blinked, staring at the chibi and then shaking her head wildly. A cloud of white sugar floating around the table.
Kiran gasped, quickly saving his papers from the sugary power. He reached out and put a bare hand on her head to make her halt, "St-stop at on-onc-ce, P-P-Pereg-gr-grin-ne!"
Honey's eyes went wide, freezing- setting her jaw. Kiran slowly let go, dusting his hands off, "Th-that is n-no w-way t-t-to ac-ct."
Her blue eyes narrowed, her tone a little dark, "Do tha' ag'in, Deg's, an 'ou'll be mis'ing anot'er fi'ger."
Kiran's ears drooped slightly, his jaw setting now, "Th-that s-sug-gar w-will r-r-ru-ruin m-m-my p-p-pap-pers. I r-re-req-quest m-m-ore c-c-consid-d-der-rat-tion."
Honey stood up, smiled brightly and swept the sugar on her arms into his face, "Lo'sen up, Deg's, i's jus' a lit'le suga'!"
Kiran stood, towering over Honey, "Y-you are a b-blood-dy p-pl-pleb. C-c-can-not ev-ven st-stay w-w-with h-her ch-ch-."
Honey landed a solid right on the writer, his teeth clacking together and glasses flew to the floor and cracking. He fell and she put her foot on his neck, pressing down and making him gag, "'OU SHU' YA DAM' MOUT'!"
Kiran wheezed, gagged, nose bloody and staring up at her in shock. Face flushed Honey wiped her eyes, removing her foot and swiftly kicking the man in the side. Kiran curled up and Honey went to her room, slamming the door.

Kyou blinked, jumping into the rafters and walking to the corner.

Tyler waited, setting up the analysis programs and putting on the visor he had borrowed from Azana. She could chew him out later, for all he cared. Imagine their reaction when they actually began to see what Kyou did...! The sounds from downstairs made him jump lightly, and a very angry, very sugary Honey stormed past. He ignored it; whatever it was, it definitely wasn't his business.

Sosol paused mid-chew, flinching as he stood up. "Excuse me," he muttered to Violet, making a beeline downstairs to find Kiran on the floor. "What on Earth...?!" He ran to him, having to bite back his first instinct to heal him. Magic allergy...of all the annoying things.

This left Violet alone with her thoughts and a sandwich. She sat cross-legged on her bed, not minding the light dust of sugar to the comforter. It had been really weird, popping into her head for the first time...she usually avoided it at all costs, but with Sol, it wasn't quite so scary. Or maybe it was because she did it herself, instead of her thoughts chasing her down. Something like that. Either way, she had a better idea of why she drew things like Remy's dire predictions.

Marilyn gasped, standing straight upright before teetering slightly. "Head rush..." She said weakly, stopping her attempt as Sosol swept in from upstairs. "He and Honey...they got in an argument. I think something Kiran said set her off...she hit him right then and there." It was what she could do for now, let him know how it went.

Sosol looked for Azana, catching a blip on the fringes of his range before it vanished. She had gone off to fight elves already. "Okay...Marilyn, Malachai, please tend to Kiran. No magic, or you'll make it worse. I'll talk to Honey..."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:08 pm
Malachai nodded, patting Marilyn's hand. "Sit." she said, romping over to Kiran with a handkerchief from his vest pocket, which Felix had told him to keep there, and began daubing at the blood. "Kiran...I don't think it's broken..."

The chibis warbled, baffled, then ran over to watch Malachai.

Kiran was very slow to move at all. It took him a while to catch his breath, several pulls from his inhaler. He flinched from Malachai at first, he couldn't hear very well over his pounding heart, tufts fully flared and solid blue eyes wide. "Wh-wh-wha- I-I-I-I-"l he stammered, unable to form proper words. He flushed a bit, "M-m-my g-g-gl-gl-gl-" he tried and failed. Guilt twisted in his center, very close to where that tiny foot had found solid purchase.

Kyou grabbed the key. Kiran seemed fine... Malachai seemed to have it taken care of. Being careful to stay out of Sosol's way, Kyou appeared at the door to the given room and unlocked it. Opening it and revealing the usual sight of twisting yellowed smoke, every surface with a jar filled with different elements. One sitting alone with the ringed staff Kyou had arrived with. The staff hovered above, the rings separated to form a golden container for... to Kyou the cat sized symbiote. The room smelled of old vanilla and jasmine, Kyou very carefully lit a candle to break up the darkness of the room.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:42 pm
"Cozy," Tyler quipped, taking care as he stepped into the room. It was clear that Kyou's room, much like his, was a workshop, though hers was of a completely different kind. Jars of substances or what he could assume were mushi lined the shelves, and the mysterious ringed staff likely contained another. "I can see why you spend a lot of time in the rafters, though...you've packed this place."

Sosol found Honey's room, knocking lightly on the door. "Honey? It's Sol...can we talk?"

Marilyn sat as directed, hands wringing in her lap. She wanted to help, and she was feeling stronger, but these things took time, and she dared not recover at the convent. They were nice and all, but there was always this nagging sensation that they felt she was out of place.

Violet finished the sandwich, guiltily and ravenously dining on Sol's remainder as well. Knowledge brought peace...but also a heavy weight. That old question she would continuously ask herself now actually had an answer...why her? Her abduction wasn't random; Kasdeya had kept her alive for more of a purpose than amusement.

I'm free now...I just have to stay that way. She reminded herself, slightly tempted to try Sol's technique on her own. Knowing what she did ignited curiosity in her...there were so many questions she had, and she couldn't help but wonder if the answers were inside.

"Gl...glasses?" he asked, looking around. "Where are his glasses? Oh gosh, there's a lot of blood. Okay..." he said, tail swaying as he thought, holding the handkerchief in place one the inhaler was away. "Anything broken? Um, napkins. and bandages, bandages! They make everything better! They're in a red box in the kitchen!"
PostPosted: Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:58 pm
A shuffled and sniffle indicated her most certainly being alive. Very slowly the musician unlocked and opened the door. The freckled girl's face was flushed and tear streaked, torn between anger and sadness. Most certainly her focus on Kiran's words, what he meant. She refused to make eye contact, her tone heavy with guilt, "C'min t'en." Her room was immaculate, nothing out of place. Her guitar, strings snapped, lay on the untouched bed, a pillow and sheet laying on the floor. Various trinkets and treasures lay on the dresser, arranged by color and value, pictures lined the mirror. She moved her messenger off the desk of the chair to give him a place to sit if he wanted it. She'd been packing- expecting to be told to leave.

The glasses had landed, fractured beneath a table. Kiran seethed, pressure hurt- pressure hurt a great deal. His eyes watered, it may not have been broken but it certainly was painful. "I-I-I-I... f-f-f-forg-gi-gi-giv-v-v-v-v," he simpered. He'd been out of line, but- what.. had it really warranted a punch? Using the chair he started to get up... and sat right back down, holding his side. He closed his eyes, that was a horrible sensation.

Kyou gave the smallest of smiles. "I do not feel comfortable on the floor or within arms reach. I do not trust the dormant... I do not completely trust the kindness of the others. One day perhaps but I am not over eager. I am grateful but wary. I am not comfortable with many of these mushi but I can handle most of them. Other beings are much more... complex."

Sosol slid into the room, looking around before settling on Honey, then the signs of packing. He could feel remorse, both hers and Kiran's, but he said nothing. Rather, he guided her into a light embrace, something that she seemed to need at the moment, along with silent reassurance that he wasn't there to evict her.

"Good on you," Tyler said, finding somewhere to take a seat. "Some people might call that paranoid. I just call it smart." He put the visor on, the entire world taking on a slightly different hue as he activated it. "I'm going to try a full analysis and see if I can't find anything. Basically, all you need to do is point me to a mushi to stare at for a while while this thing gathers as much data as it can."

"And you are forgiven," Marilyn answered with the quiet authority of clergy. "You spoke in such anger, but you repent so quickly."

JIM continued to clean the floor, his chiptune melody taking a 'boss stage' turn as he gauged the challenge. powdered sugar and spilled blood...it was one of the perks of being a machine; he could handle hazardous materials.

Violet was about to give it a go when she felt it again. That itch to draw...but what? She couldn't envision it...! Why couldn't she see? She had to draw it...it defied words, pictures, sensations. Anything other than the need to pick up a pencil. And she did.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 9:52 am
Malachai huffed slightly, Marilyn apparently not taking his hint, and romped off to fetch medical supplies. Returning quickly, he petted Kiran's back, offering more cloth to stem the blood flow. "Do humans still use leeches? I can't find any in the box."

He had wanted her to fetch it? Just after telling her to sit...? It didn't matter, because Malachai's clear lack of expertise called her over within the blink of an eye. "Oh, good Lord...we haven't used leeches in centuries!" She said, rolling up her sleeves and looking through the kit. Alcohol wipes, ointment, bandages...all the basics. Good, because that's all she really knew.

"Pay attention," she told him as she got to work. "This may sting a little, sir, but it will clean you right up..."

JIM, meanwhile, was cleaning the floor, and doing a good job of it, too. If he had his way, the others would be no wiser that anything had taken place.
