Gren drank his port slowly with his husband, both deep in contemplation of what was coming. They likely wouldn't sleep that night.

Remy sipped his blood with a stern frown. How the hell was he supposed to tell Violet, now?

Adam nursed his whiskey sour, wishing Enta were around to cuddle. He needed a hug.

"Remy's keeping an eye on the Horseman, who doesn't know he's the Horseman, as the other three horsemen who aren't in my purse go and collect 'em...but we haven't much time left, you see."
she explained, taking his hand between hers and patting its back.

Her ears flicked to the girl, sitting up, tail suddenly bottle brushy. What? She'd been quiet this whole time! Flicking down- had some of the other enchantments worn off as well? Or was she so easy to read? That was it, wasn't it. Oh! Tail twitching she felt mildly aggravated at this... oh wait. Maybe that was it. The fox took in a slow breath and sat stone still. White ears forward once again, head tilted adoringly to the side.

Sol had poured himself something strong, wishing he could supply one for his underage oracle sister. She seemed to be handling it pretty well, but then again...she knew about this for a while. Perhaps she had already been through the whole process. Either way, he still had some processing to do.

Kristen had a beverage, non-alcoholic, and observed the fox with a light giggle. "I did not mean to startle you," she said, watching it sit still and tilt its head. "Should I leave you alone...?"

"I understand..." Orrin said, slightly worried gaze to the pictures. Of course he wasn't in them, but the depictions of Charlotte saddened him. Needing to be carried...the spider chair attempt was a nice touch, though. Very Charlotte. "The Order would very much want to prevent this...and I would agree with them, for my own reasons."

Azana took a long sip of the cocktail, not even looking at the remote anymore so much as through it. There was, obviously, a lot on her mind, and part of her wanted to leave for a while to get through it.

"I'm sure that they would...and I could have guessed you would too." she murmured, cuddling up a little. "...I bet I miss you terribly."

"Y'do."

"Thanks, good to know."

Gren glanced to Azana, a question of her status on his brow.

She shook her head no. She didn't mind, but did not want to disturb their talks. She was allowed to listen in after all, tail curling in a question she gave a dainty yip. She couldn't remember if she'd met this human before- most certainly not from what she could recall. Stepping off the couch, she slowly came to sit by the girl and looked up, her tail wrapping around the chair legs. She doubted anyone would kick or shoo her, though she'd be happy to go back to the cushioned seat if requested.

Azana felt eyes on her and glanced over to Gren. She didn't need any abilities to figure out that question...but what kind of answer could she give? Remy had dropped a nuclear warhead on them, and they were still figuring out what the hell to do about it. But even beyond that, there was a disbelief and a confusion in her eyes. There was only one person who could even potentially have the answer to her question, but did she really want to know?

There's no way I would abandon them...right...? So why...? She shook her head, opting to reply with her mantra.

Nothing I can't handle, Gren.

"And I am certain I miss you, even if no one is able to confirm it," Orrin held her, looking at the picture and deciding it would not be so. A bundle of chaotic energy like Charlotte should be walking...more than that! Dancing, twirling, singing...

Kristen smiled. "I do not believe I have met you, no. I am Kristen..."

Tyler woke with a start, not enough time for a cold sweat to build but still panting from a few of the less positive mental images that came from the InfoLink. The Link...the panting returned to laughter. "That sly son of a b***h...!" He said merrily, not entirely sure why yet but knowing, somewhere, somehow, that the remote did something marvelous in the here and now. That he had planted it with Kristen to keep it in the present age. He had an all-new respect and affection for Enta, and he was certain he'd know why at some point soon.

Good...because after this goes down, we're all going on vacation somewhere far from all of this. he thought in return, nodding slightly.

She pecked his cheek. "I wonder what happened to my leg? At least I look like I'm havin' fun, look, a smile!"

Adam blinked at Tyler. "What did you see?"

It took her a moment. Something with a 'T'. She looked up and back down again- slightly confused. Ears flicking this way and that, tail ruffling in places. Oh yes! She was Tamriel duSaunde. Goodness how had she forgotten? Maybe she'd been spending too much time as she was. She looked up, but this form had no pain and she was guilty for not admitting herself sooner. No need for her drama, they had enough. Perhaps a pet betwixt the ears?

New Year's, maybe...? She thought in reply, raising her glass to the idea and dealing a good chunk of damage to the glass's remainder. She wasn't going to let this go to waste, but she really needed to let off a little of the tension.

Kristen reached down, giving the fox a moment to sniff her before petting lightly. She didn't want to offend the fox...and they acted like they were somewhere between cats and dogs.

"I saw-- I'm...not entirely sure yet." The initial rush of inspiration and information was starting to be replaced with the sheer confusion of sorting out exactly what it was he now knew. It was strange, and fascinating, to be in a state of knowing something and not knowing something at the same time. "That remote controls something in the present, I know that. He gave it to Kristen because it was useful here, not in his future! Or maybe it's useful there, too. Okay...fascinating, and completely frustrating..."

"Might I suggest a lengthy nap?" Sosol called from the bar. "Sleep seems to help sort out the information more quickly. If you need help with that, there's a glass on the table ready for you."

"You'd never let something like a disability dampen your spirits," he said with a half-hearted smile. "But this way, you'll be able to walk into your future...even though I'm sure having your own chauffeur amuses you to no end." He watched the picture for a bit longer before having a question of his own, one that no one would be able to answer.

"I wonder where I end up...when I shift away from this future."

He toasted in agreement, clicking glasses with Eliwood with a murmured proposal of this idea, and drained his port dry. At least this gave him something to do with his hands.

Adam didn't understand at all, face falling into a sorrowful frown. "Oh..."

"Well, really, that sort of dystopia would hurt me the least, frankly...where you'd go? Somewhere pretty, I'd hope, with lost of shiny things and amusements!"
she said hopefully.

She sniffed, almonds? No! Roasted almonds, how wonderful. A light petting? Oh no no no. Enough! She hopped onto the girls lap, barely a featherweight of an animal and waved her tail. This was a much better position for petting~.

"I don't know how you expect me to sleep with this much on my mind," Tyler said, eyeing the glass before taking a swig, "but you've had a lot more experience with this than me." He took the glass with him, settling down at one of the couches. After all, he had a lot of parts downstairs, and he didn't want them getting wrecked. He still had that project with Kyou to complete.

"O-oh...!" Kristen retracted her arms as the fox bounded onto her lap. She was really, really light, to the oracle's surprise. "You are very friendly...!" She scratched behind the ears, stroking her back slightly and letting her enjoy the slight warmth that came with her affinity to fire.

"I would hope so, as well...I'd hate to be bored waiting on you." He grinned. Sure, he was incredibly patient, but it would certainly help if he were on a plane that could distract him however momentarily.

Azana finished her drink, heading toward the coat rack for her jacket. "I'm heading out for a bit," she announced. "I'll be back before dark."

Oh Kristen was sweet to pet her! Certainly enjoying the affection but- something about it seemed wrong? Why did it seem wrong? She watched Azana...Out? As in outside? She's getting her coat! AH! Tamriel lept from Kristen's lap and danced around Azana's legs. Let's go outside! I love the outside! You can do whatever you want! I'm going to catch a vole! Out! Yip! Out! Yip!
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:36 pm
Kristen started slightly as the fox bounded off her lap just about as soon as she had come on. Now it was fixated on Azana... "I think it wants outside."

"You don't say," Azana said, looking down to the fox as she tried to avoid accidentally stepping on part of the fox. Once she got to the door, she pulled it open, letting the energetic fox go first before she followed suit, closing the door behind her.

Tyler sipped at the drink, sitting on the couch in front of the fire. Peru was still inside, he could see...but he didn't need the distraction of contemplating that. They were facing something a lot bigger than a temperamental mushi...

Gren waved after Azana, biting the inside of his cheek thoughtfully, keeping himself busy by petting Eli's arm. The redhead was snuggled close, brow furrowed, deep in thought of what to do and how to manage, how to prepare...

Adam looked to Remy. "I...I know that you're doing everything you can...but is there any way I can help?"

Remy looked over Adam, thinking. "Adam, I'll give it to you straight: I don't think there is. I'm barely limping along on this one as it is; I'm just the guy with the spoilers in his mind who knows the people dealing with it. But what you and I can do is hold fast against despair. We don't have to fake smiles and such, or pretend it's okay...but we can own the sorrow and carry on, then fight when we must. In the meantime, I suggest drinking your whiskey, digesting the bad news, and then hugging your sweetheart."

Adam listened in silence, but at the conclusion, smiled just a little. He strode over and hugged Remy. "...Thank you. Thank you for not babying me."

Remy chuckled, hugging back. "No problem, dude."

Charlotte rummaged in her pocket, humming, and gifted Orrin a puzzle cube. "Here!"
