Gren smiled,-stiff-lipped, and nodded. "Good point, Kris, good point." he agreed.

Malachai hummed, perking up. "Oh yeah! Those are a thing! Okay! I can do those, no problem! Gosh...do I give everyone a present? What do humans like?"

"Though we usually put out request lists." added Gren, a fact for which Mal looked grateful. "But, there's nothing mandatory about it...just be tactful if you leave someone out, though if you're broke, folks understand."

Malachai nodded. "Okay...okay. and we unwrap them all on the same day, and then play with our new stuff all day, right? That's what I saw, so that's what I know. And there's a nice man who gives away gifts if you keep your chimney clean, but if you don't, he'll leave you coal as a reminder?"

"Not quite."

"Pfft...!" Azana held back her laughter until he swallowed, coughing a little as she did so. "You're kinda close...think of Orrin with a couple hundred extra pounds, a red suit, and a love of chimneys and reindeer."

Sosol chuckled, watching her eat. She seemed to be enjoying herself. "You probably haven't had much pizza before, have you...?"

"You would likely also enjoy the holiday tradition of baking cookies," Kristen offered. "Perhaps with Felix?"

"There's a name I haven't heard in a long time...how is that massive cat-guy?" James asked, still feeling like he was missing something. This is why he hated spending so much time in the lab...but what else would he do? It was his love, his home, his pride.

Licking her chops, she looked up at him and twitched her ears. That's what this wonderful thing was called? She'd heard of it.. but Ladies do not eat such things. She curled her tail and twitched her nose blue eyes growing wet. Ah that lonely reminder. Bowing her head and covering her muzzle with her paws, she curled her tail around herself- just a small powderpuff. She wasn't the same kind of lady as before, it was silly to say such things.

Ears up she listened to the talk of magic and cookies. It made her feel a little less bad. Malachai was priceless, were all Infernal as cluelessly cute? She couldn't honestly say she was better off, but he was far more even tempered.

"Yeah! Yeah! Because, hey hey! I've never tried that before~" he chuckled, cheeks flushing a bit. "It's so...twisted."

Gren rolled his eyes with a wry chuckle, looking to James. "You can always come back, you know."

Azana laughed despite herself. Suddenly it made sense...to an incubus, monogamy would be experimental and risque. "Then go for it. Felix has to be pretty attached to claim you for himself."

"See ya in a couple minutes then!" James smiled, wrapping an arm around Kristen and fiddling with his device. With a loud pop, they vanished.

Sosol blinked at the sudden flashes of roses. So that's where that came from. Just when he was thinking she was shutting down, that feminine voice emerged from the fox again.

I'm sorry you had to overhear all that, he apologized, leaning on the bar and looking down to her. Their hope was attractive...though, as far as he considered it, hope was the only option. What else would we do...? Panic? Despair? There's a little of that, yes...we're only human. Well, mostly, but the point stands. Hope has to win out, for everyone's sake. Even with all that...I'm sure there's enough that we can share with you, too, Tam.

A few days had passed since that large hubbub downstairs, the one Marilyn had entirely avoided due to Kristen's presence. She was downstairs again, looking down at her rosary. Part of her wanted to return, to just leave this place...but why would she be doing so?

I'm just running, aren't I...? Hiding from the world...behind robes and sacred doors. Sol and Kristen are out there, and they seem so happy, but I don't know. Do I really belong in the world?

"Hm?" Marilyn was shaken from her rather depressing line of thought by a colorful young woman. "Oh, are you talking to me...? Good morning."

"Not exactly," she answered, providing a cordial grin as she let the crucifix rest on her chest again. "More contemplation than anything else. How are you, my fellow early riser?"
