With Malachai's help Kiran made it to the table without spilling a drop. He seemed a little proud, leaning against his friend after the cups were safely set down.

"Wow that's wow...really..." Jeff was so stunned that he did not pay much attention to Mal and simply waved to the crowd before disappearing in the kitchen for a snack.
Lin observed with her usual calm demeanor. She did not really know the innkeeper or Tyler so she could not tell if their relationship was a surprise or not. She simply drank her tea, seeming perfectly at peace.

Terry strolled into the Inn casually, waving to those in the main room. "Hello, folks...not barging in on anything, am I?"
Marilyn smiled calmly. She was on good terms with Terry, all things considered. "Not particularly, but your arrival's a surprise."
"Had to lend someone my car for the day," he shrugged, taking a seat. "Means I'm kind of stranded here for now, but I really don't mind."

Malachai helped Kiran get seated before setting his pill bottle on the table. "You need one of these, I was told!" he said cheerily. He had big news for Jeff when he came back!
"He has, he has...But I'm not the coddling type, no no. I play thoughtless when he tries." she hummed, waving to Lin and Terry. "Hiiiii!"
Zippo clambered out from under the couch with a wide yawn, and hopped into Marilyn's lap.

Lin nodded at Terry, meeting the man for the first time. Then she almost smiled to Charlotte.
"It has been a while."
Jeff emerged from the kitchen with a plate on which a giant sandwich was balancing.
"Who took your car?" he asked Terry, a little puzzled.

Damien walked downstairs into the inn and looked about. He looked down and then up when he got to the kitchen. "Can I have some more food?" He looked down again.

Marilyn gave Zippo a light pet, lifting him to her shoulder as she stood to tend to the child. "Certainly," she answered him as she strode past into the kitchen. "This is a place of plenty. We will ensure you don't go hungry."
He looks positively starved, she thought, brow knitted in concern. She would have to start small, and likely feed the chibi as well. They had notorious appetites.
"Tyler and Zulma," Terry answered Jeff. "He wanted to borrow it today. No clue why, though; he has that teleporting thing. Guess she doesn't like it or something."

"Maybe because last time a week turned into four months?" he said nonchalantly to Terry before biting into his sandwich.
Lin remained silent, eyes on Marilyn who was taking car of a child she had never seen before.

Charlotte hummed, smiling at Marilyn's intervention. She was much better with children, more likely, or at least needed someone non-judgmental to live with.
Zippo warbled from her shoulder, pleased. Food!
Malachai walked over to Jeff, determined to set things right, pausing to wait his turn.

"Wait, wait, wait..." Terry paused, looking to Jeff. "What're you talking about, a week?"
"I'm Marilyn...however you want to shorten it is fine," she answered, the ginger-haired nun looking through the cupboards for something simple and comforting. "Hm...I have an idea." She pulled out a can of tomato soup and a loaf of bread. "Do you like grilled cheese?"

Damien listened. "Yes, Ma'am."Damien looked at her questioningly. "I've never had grilled cheese." He paused. "I'm sure I'll like it, though!" He added, afraid he wouldn't get it if he didn't like it.

Jeff spotted a shadow and looked up to find Mal standing right next to him. He frowned slightly but did not speak to the demon at first, instead he answered Terry.
"Tyler and Zulma were gone for a week. They spent a week wherever they were, not four months!" he rose an eyebrow. He thought that people knew...maybe he should not have said anything.

Marilyn tilted her head curiously, keeping calm as she could feel the fear in the child. "Well, if you haven't tried it before, we'll make that. And if you don't like it, we'll make something else." She fetched the milk, butter, and cheese, starting the soup to warm and heating up a small griddle for the sandwiches.
"And for you, tiny one? Want some soup, too?" She asked, barely able to find Zippo between its size and her hair.
"If they spent a week there, then how do you explain the other--" He stopped, looking toward the door. Was he not using it...because it broke? Was that what happened when it went haywire? Where were they for those missing weeks? On second thought, he was pretty sure he didn't want to know.
"Um, thanks, Jeff, for setting me straight," Terry said, shaking his very confused head.
