[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Zulma san]

Lin looked at Mal and her face softened a hint like it was now doing for some of the patrons at the Inn which she had come to appreciate.
"How have you been Mister Malachai?" she asked softly.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Good, Miss Lin! Really good!" he said happily, perking up. "I got my magic unbound, and I have a lover, and you're back and there's holidays happening! Do you like holidays?"  

[Zulma san]

Lin blinked. His magic was unbound? What did that mean? The fact that he had a lover was a little too much information for the woman yet it had her brushed quickly over her own loneliness.
"Holidays...yet we do...but our new year comes later, at the end of January." she explained coolly. "We do not have Christmas." she added calmly.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Me neither! It's my first one!" smiled Mal, leaning over and adding "I'm not even sure if I'm allowed." in a conspiratorial whisper. "Will you celebrate it too?"  

[Astra_Senpai]

The white fox pranced down the stairs, waving her tail this way and that. She sniffed about before slipping beneath a couch and settling. Seems the holiday season was when the residents were most active.

Lin's shoulders sank ever so slightly as a relief when she heard that Mal was not familiar much with the local customs.
"If I am here for the holidays, I will celebrate with every one." she said with a nod.
There was a pause, then she asked.
"May I ask...what does it encompass that your magic is unbound?" there might have been a hint of worry in her voice but it was more very basic curiosity and a wish to understand.


Jeff stepped down the stairs, Violet was not in her room. As he headed back downstairs, he saw a white fox in front of him and froze.
"Since when do we have a white fox?!" he exclaimed, crouching by the creature and extending his hand for her to smell.

"It means all of my powers are back and people can't command me!" he smiled brightly, fangs pretty in the corners of his lips. "Isn't that neat? I'm not so stupid any more!"

"I dunno, but she's cute!" smiled Charlotte.  

[Zulma san]

Lin looked at his mouth.
"It is good to be in charge of one's destiny." she admitted. If he was allowed in the place despite his powers, that meant he was trusted, so she had nothing to fear. Yet, she could not help being...well human.  

[Astra_Senpai]

Tall ears flicked back, she sniffed at him. She knew who he was- he was that handsome young man she'd met when she'd arrived. Oh he had a lovely blush to him, but he'd yelled at her last they'd seen one another. She shyly curled her tail around herself, ears flicking forward and bowing her head to let him pet if he wanted.  

[Gren_Eckener]

He nodded. "I'm feeling way better! I'm gonna make sure that I keep everyone here safe for thanks!" he cheered. 'Where were you?"  

[Zulma san]

Jeff gently scratched the fox's head, behind its ears. "Aren't you cute?!" he said with a bright smile which was quite unusual on his face.


Lin felt reassured. He had such good spirits.
"One of my uncles passed away. I went to pay my respect." she said without emotion in her voice nor on her face.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Oh no..." he said softly, face falling immediately. "I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ask about sad things..."  

[Zulma san]

Lin shook her head slowly, her face not betraying any emotion.
"Death is part of life and sometimes life is sadder than death." she said without sadness.  

[Astra_Senpai]

Looking up at him with big blue eyes that smile suited him so well. Why was everyone here so good at petting? There was a cat here, wasn't there? Had to be. She pranced away from him, hopped onto a chair and yipped. She tilted her head to the side now he didn't have to bend!

Kyou coughed softly. Miss Lin was very wise.

Jeff chuckled as the animal seemed to call him. He uncurled to stand back up and walked to the chair where he let the fox rest its chin against his lap as he scratched its head again.
"So soft..."
