[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"If you insist," Azana answered, grin plastered to her face. Ah, well...she'd need to get over this, anyway. Tam was just giving her a good excuse to do it.

"That's very nice of you," Marilyn echoed. "I, sadly, don't know as much about either of you as I would like." Sure, she knew of some of Azana's weak points, but as a person, they were practically strangers.

"I have refrained from removing it since," Kristen agreed, already feeling its absent weight from around her neck. "I find it comforting, both in its own warmth and how it seems to resonate with me." She looked down to Honey's fidgety hands with a grin. It wasn't so much anxiety as her own energetic nature, she noticed...at least she had found something to do with them.

"Peppermint...?" Orrin tilted his head, checking the mirror again. No candy-cane head. "Ah, you mean so far as Malachai's analysis...I still believe he's correct. This much activity out of my other half is rare. Either there are still forces at work, or perhaps he took more of a liking to you than I would imagine."

"I'm glad you did," Sosol said. "It really varies on the type. For instance, what I serve Chris' friend Mike half the time I wouldn't drink myself. I know he loves it, though, so I keep it around."

Tyler finished his drink and his notes, happy to have it on paper before he grew distracted by other things. Even without an apocalypse to actively prepare for, it helped to know what he had on his side.

"Peppermint. Strong, clean, clarifying." said Charlotte, then giggling at the latter statement. "Well, we did take rather a shine to each other quickly, dear. I like all parts of you; it's wonderful that all parts of you like me too!"

Malachai paused, tail swaying as he thought. "Does he like untasty things? I like the ones that are bitter and strong!"

"Everyone has their likes and dislikes," Sosol shrugged, listening carefully to Malachai's own opinions. "I'll keep that in mind for you, then...especially since it seems you'll be sticking around for quite a while."  

[Astra_Senpai]

Tamriel smiled gently, inclining her head, "When you are ready, I am ready. Please excuse me... I- I am weary." She rested the barely touched alcohol on the counter, unwrapped her tail and bowed slightly before slipping up the stairs and away to her room.

Honey hummed, squirreling back to her chair, "T'en put it back on." She knew the kind of clasp now, that made things easier if she ever got her ire up. Chirp! Honey pulled out her phone and hummed as she read the message.

Kyou returned inside through a high window, settling in the blind corner and shivering. Perhaps hiding in the snow was a poor idea.

He beamed, nodding. "I want to, yeah! I'm going to! I like it here, and everyone's really happy today, even when there's horsemen around! I never want to leave."

"Alright..." Kristen clasped the necklace again, letting it hang in its natural habitat. As her eyes returned to Honey, she tilted her head. "...what is it...?"

"Then rest, Tamriel. We shall go in the morning," Marilyn reassured her, sipping Honey's drink on her behalf.

"And you don't have to," Sosol grinned. "As long as you help keep the place, you can stay as long as you see fit."

Honey wrinkled her nose, "Torpor is watchin' Sparrow today bu 'e 'asn't got a clue wit' teapot lids. She t'rowing anot'er fit... but 'E canno' figure out over w'at."

Malachai beamed, tail perked in delight. "Can I really? Forever, as long as I help keep it safe?"

"It's the same agreement everyone else follows. I don't see how you'd be different," Sosol grinned. "Besides, everyone seems to love you around here."

"With all due respect...but what does a tantrum have to do with teapots?" Kristen asked, confused expression on her face. It really made no sense...she hadn't misheard, had she...?

The demon blushed, nibbling the corner of his lip with an 'aw, shucks' aura. "Well, I love everyone here too. I think. This is love, right, when everyone makes you happy when you see them? For all kinds of reasons?"  

[Astra_Senpai]

Honey looked up a moment, Chirp And back down again. "Ah i's cockney time.. ah- rhyme. Teapot lid... kid.. 'E's not any Robin 'ood... good wit' kids. Torpor is a lazy bloke wit' a night job. 'E en't got time for watching Sparrow." She dashed a text out and chirp, had an answer.

"...pretty much," Sosol nodded. It was a good working definition. He figured it was a little hard to pin down, especially for an incubus.

"Oh...! I am very sorry; most slang is a bit lost on me," Kristen apologized sheepishly. If only she had clearance for a surface scan...she would have figured out the idea behind the words easily enough.

"Don't worry," Tyler piped up from his spot at the bar. "Not a lot of outsiders can speak Cockney properly. I'm not one of them either, so don't ask."

Malachai up and hugged Sosol at that, delighted. Friends and love and a home forever and ohhhhh boy!

Honey tilted her head slightly to the side. "I's a rhyming slang... but I'm 'appy t' teach 'ou if 'ou wanna' know." She looked over to Tyler, batting baby blues at him, "And 'ere I 'ad my 'opes up a 'andome gent like 'ou would be one a my kind."

He couldn't help but laugh, simply enjoying the dryer-laundry-warm embrace of the incubus for a moment. "It turns into home pretty fast."

"I see...so I would need to rely on rhyming skills and context in order to understand you." She frowned...until that collar, it sounded a bit like her ex. He would speak in nothing but rhyme. It was endearing, but he was far from the best experience of romance.

Tyler let out a sigh, looking to her. "Look, love, it's been years since the last time I had a Frank and Pat with someone from Bow Bells, and that was online. He was a right garden tool, so I didn't see the point in learning more than enough to put him in his place." He took a long swig of his second round, the slight burn of the alcohol easily washing away the sour taste it left with him.

"And the compliment's appreciated."
