" Very handsome indeed" Ale replied, laughing. " Well, not much, trying to catch up on what happened since I left. I've been told you're Death's apprentice now. How did that happened?" Ale hoped this hasn't a dangerous topic to bring up.

(OOC: Huh? Zefi, I thought you knew Ale.)

Kageko simply raised an eyebrow at Ultima's comment about himself. Yin flew upto her shoulder, she was in a slightly bad mood from having lost an argument with Yang.
"Idiot," Yin thought about Ultima.
Kageko thought back, "Oh come on...."
"You can't argue against the fact that he usually rushes in headfirst like an idiot."
Kageko had to agree to that logic.

As Zefi went outside, Kageko gave a nod of her head to show that she had heard her and waved goodbye.

Kageko's ears perked up when Ale asked Ultima about being Death's apprentice.

Ultima showed her his wrists. "He gave me two armlets, one of the sun and one of the moon." He said. He wiggled them around a bit. "They don't come off." He said. He showed her his sword, still as lethal and beautifal as ever. "This is part of his sythe, I need it to use the power he's given me, and that's a lot to control." He pointed up stairs. "I even have armor upstairs made from the sythe." He laughed. "Why would you want to know why I became his student?" He asked before answering the question. "If it's important i'll tell you." He said.

Zefi jumped up the tree using her full levitation/flying powers and reached the thickest branch in reach pulling up like a monkey bar. she swung around and turned over so she wasn't upside down. She wasn't to far up and she yelled down to Zrenni "Coming up?" She smiled glad to have the chance to flex her magic and have fun without getting in trouble.

Ale shook her head. " I'm curious, that's all. As long as you do what is expected of you, I think you'll be fine." she said, but didn't voiced all of what she was thinking. It seemed that Shade had a lot of power under his control now. Apart from wondering if he was able to use properly, she wondered what he had to give in exchange.
Ale glanced at Kageko, who was listening, and wondered if the same question had arisen to her.

OOC- You eat fast!

Kageko sensed it again. It wasn't the blatant burst of Death's power that Ultima used whenever he borrowed the power of the armlets or any of the other stuff he got from Death. It was a subtle change in his energy whenever he acted... well... differently than he used to act before. Just a tiny shift in his energy that made it seem more like Death's, it wasn't even permanent. Despite that, Kageko was still worried for her friend. That energy still made Kageko feel uneasy for some reason. Furthermore, she doubted that energy like that came without a price. She had been with her mentor too long to not know that by now.
She saw Ale glance at her, and knew that she was worrying about Ultima as well. "Should I try and get Ultima to leave so I can talk to Ale about it?" Kageko thought to herself.

(OOC: Huh? It was 30 min. My parents make the food, I really just set up the table and eat.)

It seemed that Shade wasn't paying attention to her right now, lost away in his thoughs. " We'll continue this later, if that be the case" Ale thought, and walked back to where Kageko was. " You wonder too, don't you?" she asked the girl.

Kageko watched as Ale moved from Ultima to her. She replied, "About what?" to Ale's question.

She sighed. Really, wasn't it time to end up with this act already? It was obvious that this girl knew a lot more of what was going on that she wanted to tell. But Ale played along anyway. "About how did he get such power, and what he had to give in return."
PostPosted: Tue Dec 15, 2009 7:00 pm
(OOC: Hmmm, didn't consider having my character pretend to be oblivious on this one but good idea! I'll use it whee )

Kageko thought for a while, "Should I say something or should I put up an act?"
She finally replied, "Well, it's obvious he got it from Death, as for what he had to give in return...." Kageko stopped right there, hoping Ale would interpret the blank as her uncertainty in the matter. Kageko felt that it was unsafe to reveal what she thought about the price. Not only because it would reveal just how much information she had read about Ultima but also because she had derived the answer from something else, something she had sworn to not tell the person intended until the two of them were ready. However, if Ale pushed, she would be forced to tell. She couldn't think of a way to wiggle her way out of this one if Ale wasn't tricked by the first trick. "Oh well," Kageko thought to herself, "it wouldn't be too bad. My tongue already slipped on this one anyways."

Ultima's sun armlet flashed brightly. He snapped the sword in half. This was his favorite part of death's sythe. No matter what form it took, it regenrated itself. He watched as it slowly took form. Then it as back to normal. His eyes flashed at this. Super strengh, super speed, now all he needed was super food and his life would be perfect. He sheathed the sword, and the armlets flash was gone.

-hearing some commotion downstairs Aris grabbed the plate of fudge Gren made last night and brought it with him hoping Ale was downstairs-

"Good Evening everyone!"

-he said as he descended the stairs scanning the room to see who all was here holding the plate in front of him with Ale's name written on a name card-

OOC- I felt tempted to insist, but I'll do something else instead.

"Nice try" Ale thought, seing the effort Kageko was making, to avoid telling what she knew about the matter. Not even her was that naive to be foolled like that. But she decided to give her a rest. First, she was meddling into things that weren't directly concerned to her, and second, it would all be revealed eventually.
" That's ok, I can't image what it could have been, either." she said, perfectly aware that the girl wasn't going to be foolled by that also.
But then felt sad after saying the words. Sad that Kageko didn't trust her enough to share her burdens with her. Of course, she was not the strongest person around, but she cared for her friend, she wanted to help any way she could. Didn't that mean anything to her?

Kageko noticed Aris come down. "Hey Aris," she greeted and waved her hand, wondering if Aris's appearance would distract Ale.

However, that wasn't needed as Ale dropped the topic herself. Kageko sighed to herself mentally, keeping her face as it was. It wasn't that she didn't trust Ale, it was that Ale didn't need to worry about it.
"Hypocrite," Yin and Yang thought at the same time.
Kageko gave a weak smile towards them that seemed to say, "I know, but I can't drag a friend into something that doesn't concern them. That'll be unfair." She didn't try and hide it. Even if someone saw, they wouldn't know what it was for.
Once more, "Hypocrite."
Kageko gave them the same smile as before and turned back to everyone else. Even if she had decided to tell Ale, she didn't know a number of the finer details herself. Such as why Death, or even her mentor, would need something like that. From what she knew, it should be unnecesary for them.

Ale turned around, hearing Kageko mentioning Aris' name. There he was, and he was carrying food! She felt much better now.
