[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"I hope you do sometimes," Violet giggled, turning her attention back to the eggs she had started to scramble. "You'd explode in here otherwise...there's always something cooking..."

Zippo chirrupped, tail swaying. Breakfast, breakfast, Kiran tooooo!  

[Astra_Senpai]

His ears drooped slightly, not from her comment but from the sound of the spatula on the pan. He took the vended tea, sipping it with caution, "I a-am so i-inf-freq-quent-tl-ly d-down I t-ten-nd to m-miss m-most I a-am af-fraid."

Kiran pulled a small butterscotch from his vest pocket, unwrapped it and offered it to Zippo. He asked Violet, "D-d-did y-you h-hav-ve a g-g-good h-hoil-lid-day?"

Zippo snatched the butterscotch with an eager growl and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Pretty good...I went back home to my family after I finished finals. It's been a while since I saw them, all of them, at once. Mom, Sam, Wes...it was nice, but I can't really explain too much about living here to them." She chuckled, shaking her head. They wouldn't get it...they probably wouldn't believe her, either. She finished off the eggs and dumped them into a bowl. Pancakes would be next, so she just kept the heat on.

Kiran sipped at his tea, "Th-that i-is g-good to h-hear.. l-l-last w-we sp-ok-ke y-you w-were a l-littl-le b-blue." Kiran had received a call from Arthur over the holiday.. the conversation had been short but pleasant.

He smiled, "W-woul-ld y-you b-be w-w-wil-l-ling t-t-to l-look ov-ver som-me of m-my sk-ket-tches w-when y-you h-hav-ve t-time? I... I sp-pok-ke t-to m-my ed-dit-tor... she is w-wil-lin-ng t-to p-pay f-for y-your c-com-missi-ion." Kiran flushed gently, he'd asked because Mel had noticed the substantial change in his shading and line work.

Without Violet at the Inn for the Holidays, Jeff had missed her a lot and had spent his time busying himself with anything he could. That led him to leave the inn for a couple of days in search of a new washing machine and dryer. A tedious work but the ones at the inn were in the verge of failure due to their age and usage. Zulma had given him a list of needed features and price range and he was happy to go back to the inn with the good news that the new equipment would be delivered the following week.
"Hello everyone!" he said almost cheerfully as he stepped in. His face immediately softened when he spotted VIolet, but she seemed in discussion so he only waved at her.


Lin had no family so she had stayed at the inn as discretely as usual, enjoying the company.

Kyou hummed softly in the given room. Surrounded by the mushi as they sang their songs or tapped on the glass. Kyou had spent much time in the rafters during the celebrations, most of it was fascinating but without a voice... it had been easier to simply watch by the fire. Peru had grown, the stone appearing refined but unhatched.

Kyou looked at the bedroom door and to the floor. It was better to stay in the dark.

Kiran's right ear arched towards the sound of Jeff's entry. The sound of his heart was breathtaking if only for the moments the boys gaze rested on Violet. Kiran smiled gently, "P-pl-lease th-think o-on it, M-Miss. I w-will... r-ret-turn wh-hen the m-meal is r-read-dy." Kiran smiled and headed out, nodding to Jeff politely before heading back to his own room.

Violet almost burned a small batch of cupcakes, between the shock of Kiran's question and seeing Jeff again for the first time in a little while. Luckily, she remembered to flip them, so they weren't too bad. "Y-yeah, I will," she said, flushed at the thought. She wasn't even done with her program...and a paid commission...? And Jeff being around again? She had to hold back her giddiness. At least until breakfast was done.

Kiran knocked on Honey's door. A heavy thud, rustling and a patter of feet and Honey flung her door opened. Kiran smiled kindly, odd girl.
"M-Miss V-Viol-let m-mad-de break-kf-f-fast. C-com-ming?"
Honey beamed, "And 'ere I t'ought 'ou 'ated me."
They came down together and settled in. Honey was just excited to be invited along, she waved to Malachai and glanced to his friends. They looked awful dapper. "Do 'ou need 'elp," she called towards the kitchen.

"Umm...maybe carrying it," Violet answered sheepishly, looking over the platters she had spent most all the morning making. It seemed more a brunch now than anything else. Oh, well...as long as it fed everyone.

Azana came downstairs, in a particularly good mood. "I smell breakfast..."

"Coming," Sosol said kindly toward the kitchen. "Az, slide some tables together, would you?"

Kiran sat up and smiled dreamily, the world wasn't so bad. With the good fortune of sleep, the haze from the medicine and promises of progress he was in a particularly good mood. He stood, "A-al-l-low m-me t-to h-hel-lp, Mrs. J-Jac-cobs."

Honey hopped up and bounded into the kitchen, ever eager to help!

Violet gave a cheerful grin, gesturing to the platters. "Take what you can...I think I can get two."

"The perks of psychokinesis," Sosol said, taking one in each hand and three more around him. He could have taken more, but he wanted to leave some for Honey...well, that and not risk dropping any of it. He was a bit hungry, after all, and that tugged at his focus.

Azana nodded. "Thanks." She wasn't used to having someone refer to her so formally. Mrs. Jacobs still sounded alien, even if it was completely true. She was still Az to everyone she cared about, and Azana to those who cursed her name.

Honey hummed, she was in a damn good mood as her latest treasures were far better than she'd believed. She saluted Violet and picked up two platters, easily carrying both.

Kiran helped Azana move the tables, lining them up neatly and shuffling the chairs.

"Well, that was easy," Azana smiled, a hand on her hip as she inspected their handiwork. "You certainly earned your breakfast today, Kiran."

"And here it comes!" Sosol smiled, bursting from the kitchen laden with platters. "Violet made a whole spread! I didn't even know you could cook."

"It's nothing much," Violet retorted shyly. "My mom would make stuff like this all the time..."

With the table being set, it was only a matter of time before others came down to join for the large meal.
