[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Kyou's head tilted to the side slightly, the pen tangoed, 'Ms Azana is very wise. She is a very good peacekeeper. I am very happy she let me back inside at all.'  

[Azana Brown]

"Nothin' big," Hemlock said innocently, giggling at the rumpled hair and being called tough. "But Mistress doesn't like 'em hurting each other...she says it takes away her fun, and their power plays, while wicked and ripening them for Hell, don't help her cause on Earth. Or something like that! So Tama, Deya, and I are her eyes! Well, except Deya...she likes stretching out and scaring them herself..."

"I think she, like you, may be outdated in her knowledge. While I have channeled her power a few times, I only deepened the connection to direct contact in the past couple of years. Things aren't as black and white as they used to be, and that's something that's still getting across." Azana explained, hoping Bara had heard as well. When demons can create such an atmosphere for peace, and angels and vampires protect it together, there was no room for blind vengeance.

"Of course she does, she's a chibi!" cheered Charlotte, bounding down the stairs in a flurry of ribbons and confetti. "That's what they dooooo! Hi, big guy!"

Bill stared, glancing between her and Orrin. They had an Order Keeper and a Chaos Beast? Oh dear. He gulped. "I-I see...thank you, Miss Azana. Hello, Sire."

"Hiiii!" she sang, hugging Orrin. "Friend of yours, Malachai?"

"My boss." he smiled.

"Oooooh!"

"Hiii, Charlotte!" Hemlock waved happily before noticing Bill's expression. He tilted his head...why would a big demon like him be scared of her? She was nice, and fun! "Mistress sent me for iced cream!"

Orrin grinned as he returned her hug, happy to see her for the first time in a little while. Things had been relatively calm, and he was feeling well-rested.

"You're welcome," Azana nodded, still a bit amused by everyone's reaction to Charlotte. Her reputation really did precede her.

Tamriel emerged from the kitchen, hot tea in hand and looking a bit tired on the edges. She smiled, ears down a bit, as she settled back in her untaken spot, "Hello, Miss Charlotte." And settled content with her tea, hopeful for paperwork to dash off with.

Kyou lept into the rafters and to the favored corner after a wave to Charlotte. 'Hello, Miss Charlotte'.Kyou would not be cornered by the fox woman again. The silver mushi chirped, Kyou looked up at it just as it seized the scarf and took off with it Kyou watched the scarf careen through the room, 'ah... well that is most inconvenient'.

"HI~, Hemmy! She did, did she? The usual flavor?" chirped the curlytop, pecking Orrin's cheek. "Whoza big guy?"

Bill bowed his head respectfully. "I am Bill, sire. I have come to collect the renegade worker, Malachai."

She pouted. "Aw, don't do that, man. He's nice to have around."

He gulped. A chaos beast was a fabled trickster, and prone to whimsy. He'd have to be careful. "I am finding quite a consensus that he is not to leave."

"Well, we like him." she said simply. "He's kind of a doof, but he's fun to hang with. But...heeey, you're one of those middle management types, aren't you? Bet you've never hung out in your life."

Perplexed by the lingo, Bill looked to Tamriel for hints as to what the girl might have meant.

Tamriel smiled softly, quietly used to the overlook...she should find a way to find favor with the chaos deity. Looking up at Bill, "She means have you taken time to relax, take a moment to spend time with those you find favorable or amusing."  

[Gren_Eckener]

Bill rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I do not recall ever having tried."  

[Astra_Senpai]

She bit her lip a moment, ruffling her tail, "Perhaps, if you think it would be wise, you should stay a while longer."

She bowed her head slightly, a small dash of peach cross the top of her nose, knowing full and well that the truth of the request was purely selfish, "Personal experience would allow you a better plea for his case in the event of dispute."

She looked up, the idea crossing her, "Or if something as grand as a transferal were required."

Azana rolled her eyes. Great, keep the corporate demon around. That seemed like a great idea...it took enough to convince him to let Malachai stick around, and he was actually desired. Ah, well...maybe it'd get her to spend a little more time away.

"Actually, she wanted to try a whole bunch!" Hemlock answered cheerfully. "Is that okay, or do you want me to go back and forth a lot? It's kinda cold out there..."

"I see no reason not to send a little sampler...I'm sure I have containers somewhere in here." Orrin began to dig through his pockets. There were always tons of lids and containers. The trick was finding pairs that matched...

Bill sipped his tea, cheeks flushing ember-bronze at Tamriel's advice. "Transferal?" Nevermind that he didn't wholly support Malachai's case, but a transferal was a high stake to ask for.

"Come on, Bill...you can't tell me that you haven't got some kind of vacation time coming up?" said Malachai, grinning kindly. "You can have more ice cream."

"Don't tempt me, seducer." warned Bill, waving his spoon.

Malachai looked sheepish, smiling a bit before looking to Hemmy. "Sure we can do that"!

Head bowed, Tamriel looked down, "Pardon.. that was a bit forward." She rested a fang against the China, "There are many more things to enjoy here than only ice cream. Though the sheer amount of flavors alone are enough to keep you busy for a deal of time."

Kyou blinked, looking down.. why was the fox woman prattling?

"...finally!" Orrin breathed a sigh of victorious relief. A matching container and lid. "Hemlock, let's go load this up for you."

"Okaaaaay~" Hemlock almost sang, following the karmic trader to the kitchen.

Tyler glanced up from his own daydreaming. The activity in the room had rousted Kyou's interest, and while she could no longer speak, she was still as inquisitive as ever. Currently, her attention was on Tamriel's charm and flirtation. It was hard to tell if she was actually attracted to Bill or just trying to keep Malachai around permanently. He had to hand it to demonkind; they were really hard to read without mental powers.

Maybe even with powers...I never asked Sol about it.

Azana had grown bored with idle demon chatter. She now doodled on a napkin, not at all an artist but still enjoying what came out. Violet came to mind...did she know to stay upstairs somehow?

Charlotte giggled, sauntering over to Tyler. "You're looking curious...penny for your thoughts?"

Malachai slipped over to Azana. "Ah...I'm sorry about all of this. I probably should have known this would happen sometime..."

Bill, distracted, fussed with his tie, smiling like a doofus as he couldn't think to look dour. "Well...what would you suggest..?"

Ears down, looking up at Bill from an angle which only made her blue eyes look a little bigger, "If I may be so bold and you do have time off to spend, I would suggest you stay and see for yourself just what the world is like." A shy smile, "I would not mind showing so handsome a demon around and answering any questions which arise.. n-nor would any of the others I'm certain." She looked down, she'd stammered- smooth Tamriel. Someone put me out of my misery, I'm tired and acting a fool.
