Gren nodded, holding up a variety of blood packets. "Name a type, and do you want it warmed? We can even make mixers; got a vampire here who got creative with the flavoured syrups." he said with a crooked grin.

Charlotte smiled brightly with a giggle at the prospect of juggling. "I like this guy already, hey! Come on in and sluff off; no harm in relaxing! This is a no-war zone anyhow."

Gren nodded in agreement. "That's how we all wound up showing up here, anyhow."

"O; and I'd appreciate it if it was warm. It absorbs easier since Azazel is so picky about how he gets his energy." Izanagi ended up leaning one gigantic sword wrapped in bandages on the wall, one enormous sword, and one large sword. The smallest of the three was bound similar to Izanagi's arm, the shifting red sigils keeping it under control. "Keheh. You can use this time to sharpen Totsuka-no-Tsuruji. The way it is is all well and good, but...you oughta be prepared for the worst." Izanagi shrugged while rewrapping Azazel's face. "If it comes to that then I leave, simple." If Azazel could roll his eyes, he would, but he only had space for one on Izanagi's arm.

Izanagi slumped in to a chair with a pretty drawn out yawn. "Ahh...it's been forever since I sat down. I'm too young to be this old!" Izanagi swore that he was looking older the more stressed out he was...hopefully this brief respite would restore some of his vitality. Further, the supply of blood on hand would be perfect for that. "Reeeeally now...? Now that's impressive, a place where conflict does not exist. Truly, you've found utopia Mikoto!" Izanagi laid his palm flat on the table with a blank face. "Didn't I tell you to be quiet? We don't want to overstay our welcome, do we...?" Izanagi's quiet scolding of Azazel was similar to a parent discovering a child had done something wrong. "Sorry, there's nothing I can do about him. It's not like I want to take him everywhere, but he gets mopey if I decide to cut my arm off."

Wondering if RH factored in, Gren shrugged and tossed a bag of O in the microwave for a warm-up. "I'd rather have it warmed over myself, were I the sort to partake. Something about cold blood's not too appealing; it's not like gazpacho soup or something."

"Naw, man. There's not even gonna be that! Not fighting inside is the only rule we've got, and breaking it is grounds for eviction." said the curlytop, waggling her finger. "Anyone else comes in here tryin' to bust your chops, they're catch of the day!"

Gren offered the blood pouch, chuckling. "Years do not make age, but experience, friend. Don't worry about it."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 20, 2013 11:40 pm
"I don't have any opinions since I'm not the one that takes it...Azazel probably shares your sentiment." Izanagi listen to Charlotte speak, and although he tried, he couldn't keep himself from laughing. "You've got an interesting way of speaking, regardless, that's fair enough. I don't think you'll have to much trouble from me though. I'd rather not drag anybody in to a personal situation, so I'll keep all my fights far away from here." Izanagi returned his attention to Gren while peeling away the bandages on his right arm. His hand opened up, and Azazel who had no real qualms with foreign material, consumed the pouch. The black veins started to pulsate as Azazel was sated. "Just the pick-me-up I needed! I feel as alive as a hellspawn could!" Even Izanagi was starting to look healthier after Azazel's feeding.

"He means to thank you, he just has no manners." Izanagi hoped that nobody would take Azazel's...unique attitude to heart while they were here. "Experience...I know exactly what you mean. But if only my experiences determined my age I'd be a wizened old man by now. I won't bore you with my tales, though. They're probably not interesting enough to tell at such an odd place." After confirmed his arm was wrapped again and the sealing was still in effect, he slipped his hand in to a pocket in his shirt. "How much do I owe you for the blood, coupled with a room for the night? I don't know if you accept my kind of money, but I do have artifacts for trade I picked up during my travels."

Sosol shrugged as Gren tended to the newcomers. Sometimes, he wondered if his job was just a nifty title anymore. Then again, Gren was the innkeeper. Kind of a catch-all.

"We don't charge around here, oddly enough. If you want to donate, or help out, you're welcome to. Otherwise, take what you need."

Violet continued to draw, gulping slightly. She had been trying this, to help with her fears...just to focus on her drawing. Don't look at it, don't talk to it until it's okay. It was there, but not for her...she just had to keep telling herself that.

The picture was taking on more form, and she could now make it out. "...Alice..."

Max chuckled at the two who came in. Izanagi reminded her of someone who had visited before, but he was much more polite, and his partner much more fun! "Hi there!" She waved, a bundle of youth and rainbows. She heard Violet's muttering and glanced over at the picture. "Alice? Oh, wow...! She looks straight outta Disney! You go, Vi!"

Orrin was actually inside his coat, doing a little bit of inventory. It was alarming how quickly things piled up inside. "Honestly, people should be a bit more mindful of their possessions..."

Izanagi was about to object before he heard that he could either donate or help out if he wanted to. "Seems perfectly reasonable. I'll be able to keep myself busy by helping in any way I can." It was a fair trade, so Izanagi wasn't against it. "Wait, wait, wait, wait...that's how you're going to use all of that energy?" Azazel seemed surprised, but he knew how Izanagi was...hard-headed. "Yup, that's what I'm going to use it for." Azazel scoffed, hoping that Izanagi wasn't going to make him work too. Izanagi caught the familiar sound of somebody else greeting him. Out of habit, considering he was right handed, he waved back at Max using Azazel. "He-ey! We talked about this! How would you feel if I threw you around like a ragdoll?"

Izanagi ignored Azazel's complaint at being used like a regular arm would've. As long as Azazel existed as a parasite for Izanagi, then he would be used any way the wanderer saw fit to use him. "Nice to meet you. If you missed my small introduction, my name is Mikoto Izanagi." Azazel grumbled underneath his breath, so Izanagi pressed his palm on the table again until Azazel spoke up. "And my name is Azazel! Don't let this old guy fool ya, I'm quite the looker. And...I'm good with my hands! Keheheh!" Izanagi shook his head, staring down at his arm. "Can't you be normal for one day? At least try to tell a joke without laughing like a jackal."

Zippo, following the scent of order and tidiness, clambered intot he pocket to investigate and landed with a plop onto a pile of clothes. Strugglign out, he trorted along, screeching alarm-wise: "O-RIIIIIIIIIN! O-RIIIIIIIIIIIN! PIIGRII WANCHUUUUUUU!"

"I'm Charlotte!"
bubbled the brunette, striking a Sailor Moon pose. "I like cute things and scary things, so the jackal laugh's nice!"

"And my name's Gren...nice to meet you." grinned the Innkeeper, offering a hand to shake. "Need anything, just ask, all right? What's this about energy?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 22, 2013 4:33 am
Orrin perked up from his work, turning toward the shrill alarm. "Ah, Zippo...! She does, hm? Maybe I've lost track of time." He set down a strange artifact and walked toward the chibi. "It's not often I get visitors in here..."

"Sol Jacobs," Sosol nodded in greeting, grinning since his shades had a tendency to hide some of his expression. He was an interesting character, and he looked forward to hearing more.

"...oh!" Violet blinked, looking to Max. "Alice! A rabbit, and a looking glass!"

"Huh? Wait, the coin...?" She looked over the pictures again. "I think you're right, but what does it mean? Are we supposed to follow her...?"

Honey saluted and was out into the hall. Tyler's door... thinkpan's door.... OH RIGHT. That was the door with the adjusting lock! Right? She went to the door and with the knock of someone far taller, projecting delightfully loud, "Thinkpan, 'ou in there? I 'ave thin's for 'ou! "

At the presence of others, Sam took the chance to slink around a corner to sit on a couch and read. She held her glass with quiet focus as she wrote in the tattered book on her lap. So many people... had she always been so nervous with them? No... not always.

Kyou watched from above. It was hard to sleep with so much going on. Several new faces and many of the residents teeming below. Especially this new one, not the nervous one but the loud one. The observer stayed in the rafters, watching silently... there are new forms with this one, they're familiar (these mushi) but unfamiliar.

Izanagi took a side glance at Azazel and shook his head. "I hope you mean he's cute then, because Azazel lacks that tragic aura all demons seem to have. You hear that, Azazel? You have an admirer." Azazel would look around, but he knew how Izanagi got irritated when he formed an eye on his shoulder. "Oh? I don't know if that's me blushing or the blood running through Izanagi's veins! I'd take Charlotte over you any day!" Izanagi smiled wryly, knowing that Azazel would rather not mess with somebody that wasn't him. It could be dangerous, after all, and as a partial demon...Azazel couldn't hurt Izanagi if he tried.

Izanagi shook Gren's hand while responding to his question. "Azazel doesn't exist in the physical world. His entire body exists in a realm of demons, so he can't actually use his body without some kind of...battery. I act as a siphon directly to Azazel; whatever he consumes using my body is absorbed in to his own and empowers him. That gives me the ability to...somewhat...summon him. In all meanings of the word, I'm a gate between this world and the next.To fully answer your question, I needed that blood to power Azazel, otherwise he couldn't be summoned." Izanagi waved at Sol after giving his explanation to Gren. "Greetings, Sol. I look forward to my time here."

"Is tuu biigu. Nat iinafu karasu!" insisted the tiny raptor, waving his arms. "Kam iito burekufasuto."

Gren hummed, glancing to the revelation about the coin as he listened to the pair speak, shaking the hand offered.

Charlotte scoffed. "Cute and scary is the same thing, if you're looking right. But really, naw, man. You don't want me. Nohow."

"It's really best to stick to the host you're used to."
agreed Gren with a smile. "And...mind the demon-summoning, okay? Nothing bad, right?"

"That's a new one," Tyler answered, the sound of the door unlocking before he pulled it open. "What sort of things would you have for me? I'd offer to let you in, but it's a terrible mess in here."

Violet shrunk a little at the mention of demon summoning, of being a gate. Bad, bad memories. She shut them out with the coin...Alice. The missing girl, Victoria.

"Breakfast? Any time," Orrin set down what he was working on and scooped up Zippo. "Come on...I know a shortcut." Within a minute, he was pulling on the coat, letting Zippo ride his shoulder.

"Nothing quite as sublime as breaking a fast...especially here!"

"The unassuming can be quite terrifying, indeed," Sosol nodded, setting up some chamomile to calm Violet's nerves. All this talk of Azazel probably wasn't helping...and besides, he could eavesdrop on the conversations about the missing woman, and potentially about their mission.

"Yup!" Max beamed, a light pat at the dim glow under her armwarmer. She had been practicing, and could really put the squeeze on things. Not that she'd do that...well, maybe. But only if they really, really, really deserved it.

"Oh? Of course not, I've got this little agreement going on...Izanagi was content on running me through with Totsuka-no-Tsuruji if I did something immoral." Azazel gestured to the largest of the three swords Izanagi rested on the wall. Even covered in sealed bandages, it was easy to see the ugly two-handed blade. Izanagi frowned when Gren was the one mentioning the summoning, he shook his head in an instant. "Never, not without reason. I only gained this power after being forced to become a hellgate directly to Yomi...I won't look back on that time with a smile." Ugh...it wasn't even something he could completely recall. His strongest memory of that time was unimaginable pain...pain, and something else.

Izanagi stopped talking when his senses as a human told him that there was somebody else in the room. He went silent for a second and chuckled a bit, shaking his head again. "I'm sorry, is my story frightening? I understand that I carry a negative stigma with me considering my race and my abilities. I've got no reason to tell such dark stories considering." Izanagi was familiar with this, so he took the wisest course of action. He pulled the sleeve of his kimono all the way down past his arm so Azazel was as obscured as possible. Even the seals used to bind him couldn't be seen beyond the sleeve. "I came for just a small bit of nourishment, and a quick rest. I give my word I won't be here beyond that capacity. What that's worth coming from a demon like me to you? I'm unsure." Izanagi laughed dryly, grabbing his gear once more. "You might not be needing me, but in case you do, I'll be right outside the front door. I've got to place a physical seal over these three things before I actually take a 'rest'."

Izanagi left with a smile on his face, and true to his word, he took the sealed blades and re-sealed them so they couldn't be drawn...not even by him. "You took that well, Keheh. I'd say you were almost insulted!" Izanagi shrugged, looking at the cursed Muramasa...deciding a triple physical seal would be better for this thing, along with a single standard seal. "Insulted? No, not in the least. This place has its name for a reason, and we're going to respect it. Got that?" Azazel sighed, knowing that Izanagi was resolute in his cause once again. "It's better to be out here anyway, you don't really think you belong, do you?" Izanagi smirked as he looked at the newly sealed Muramasa. "Nope. Expected anything different from me?They've got their path, and we've got ours. It's that simple." Azazel chuckled. "You make it sound like they just chased you outside with pitchforks, you loser."

Closing her book, Sam sipped at the water and cooed softly at the sensation of ice flowing through her system. Thank God. Setting the glass down, she lay on her side and sighed, she was feeling a little tired- it was nice and cool in this place.

Honey grinned from ear to ear, "Didn' pick up 'our pants eh? Don' worry I respect the shy type. 'Ere." She held the coin out to him, "This is wha' she put in my case this time. It's no' silver an' she 'ad this chap with 'er tha's pulled 'er away after." A pause, "Oh an' the officer's got somethin' for 'ou too. I gotta' practice a new set o' songs for t'morrow."

As Kyou listened from above, there was a widening of the only visible eye to give away where the focus was. The tall form slid out the window in the rafters and outside. A sealing would be interesting to watch.

"I just don't want you stepping on my components," Tyler answered. Shy wasn't exactly a word to describe him. Reserved? Secretive? Maybe. Not shy. He took the coin in hand, flicking it once, feeling the weight, flipping it in his hand.

"So, she's not exactly safe...and this coin...I'll need to run some tests, but my current hypothesis is we already have some of this steel on hand. Go practice...I'll visit Az when I'm done."

"I--no...sorry..." Violet frowned. "I just--" But he was already leaving. "...I didn't want to chase him off..."

"It's alright, Violet," Sosol reassured her, floating over a cup of chamomile and glancing outward. "I doubt he'll be gone forever...or for very long."
