[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

He frowned slightly. "In here? She knows better...I'm sorry about that, Elizabeth. I'll talk to her about it. Even if she's been bad, Max, the rule is the rule."

"Iisokai. Yuu biigu." he smiled, patting her shoe. "Yuu getit raito samutaimu. Ai diid, ya ya! Nat alla chiri! A boru refuto."

Charlotte trotted off to the Drinkamajig, making space for the chili pot that sizzled in a manner most sinister. This wasn't good. She didn't know what it was, but it wasn't good, for certain.

Malachai nodded, cooing. "Anything magical?"

"Let her have her righteous anger," Elizabeth waved it off. "It's...respectable. Shows how much she really likes that nutty professor."

"Duuude," Max groaned, leaning back and peeking at him upside down. "That lift you gave Ty a long time ago? She's why...I mean, she's been pretty helpful since, but yeah...kinda harsh meeting with the Superdudes and stuff. Now Omega's got it out for her since she helped 'em outta there."

"Thanks for the ClifNotes, stool-pigeon," Elizabeth grumbled, visibly stiffening. "I was out of options, so I took the opportunities presented to me. And they bit me in the a**. If you don't mind, I'd like to focus a bit more on how I'm getting out of all this, rather than how I got into it."

"Would you help me move her somewhere where she won't awaken sore...?" Kristen asked kindly. "I think I have a few more pennies..."

"The Aurorasphere," Orrin answered off the top of his head. "It's not quite a disco light, but shines an aurora that can fill a room or make a pretty display from the rooftop...I think there are a few magical disco lights...maybe...I'll check."

Gren hummed, recalling this event with a mild cringe. "Well...yeah, I can understand the aggression..." he admitted. "But...it's not my business, Max. That's then, this is now. As an Innkeeper, it's not a matter of what was, so much as what is, y'know?"

"Ya! Ya!" he cheeped, hopping on his heels. "Ai kan doiit! Ai geta fiitsu!"

"Ooooh..." he said, looking at his token bag. "Can I afford that? It sounds really pretty...may I see it?"

Soon enough, Charlotte returned with a tray of tea, fully prepared with the fancy cookies with a thin layer of chocolate within. "It's earl grey lavender."

"I'm glad someone understands that," Elizabeth grinned to the Innkeeper, getting a refill from Sol in the process. "Still, the Knight never got a chance to have her catharsis. Hopefully she can let it go now; there's work to be done."

"Extraction should be easy enough," Max muttered as she looked it over. "Pinning John won't. This guy is slippery. I think there's an exit just about everywhere I look. Hey, you think he's really involved with Megaloser?"

"I can't say, really...he doesn't seem the type. Then again, I wasn't, either..." She grew a little despondent. So what if it was hypocrisy? Couldn't someone be honestly dishonest?

"Just you...? Should we ask for a few more, just for support?" Kristen asked, a little worried. Yes, maybe Zippo could carry Honey by himself, but with his height, she'd be dragging.

"Hrm," Orrin checked the price tag, calculating the Dharma equivalent. "It'd take most of your stash, there, but yes, I think you can."

"She'd best, or I'll give her as good as she doles." he hummed, shaking his head. "We're all prone to our fits, so that's her freebie."

He leaned on the bar, raising an eyebrow. "You have a name on this guy?"

"Naaaa, naaa, ai gatiit." said Zippo, burrowing under the small of Honey's hips and hoisting at the back of her pelvis. Her feet would drag, but indeed, she'd be carried neatly.

"Oh! Well, that's all right...I wasn't using it before, after all, and I didn't know I had it in the first place." Malachai grinned, looking at the tag and carefully counted out his payment. "No use being a miser when I could have something fun."

Charlotte sipped her tea, thinking. What other weight might work, if any?"

"Well, duh," Max laughed. "I gotta name for just 'bout everyone! Yours was kinda short enough already, Gren...but John Doe? He's slick...it's kinda creepy. I'll find 'im, though."

"Impressive," Kristen muttered, following behind to ensure that she was safe.

"This one is quite beautiful, though it does nothing other than the light show...I hope you give it a good home, Malachai," Orrin handed it over, the coins vanishing into vapor.

That earned a chuckle. "You've got a point...there's a point where a name's too short to shorten, I think. Like Max. Still, slick, creepy? How so?"

"Get haa hedo!"

Malachai "ooo"ed, watching the vapor waft away. "Thank you, Mi- ah, Orrin! I hope that this didn't put you out of your way!"

"He's really elusive, even for a pro like me. He's gotta have a hacker with 'im, unless he's one himself," Max pouted. "I'm not used to being ill-informed. It really sucks. How do you guys do it?"

"By believing in our own strength," Azana smirked. "Half the time, before I met you guys, I had no idea what I was getting into. I just had to go with it..."

"Right!" Kristen supported Honey as best she could, a slightly awkward proposition with a three-inch carrier.

"It's no trouble," Orrin grinned, sipping the tea. It was calming, but there was still too much on his mind. Why such a low review? He had been trading karma regularly! Was it even a review at all? He hadn't been revoked already, had he...?

"Any time you want to keep track, I'll measure you again. Now that I know this, I can handle just about anyone." But myself...

He grinned at Azana's comment, nodding. "Precisely that. We manage...those that don't know what they don't know are rarely troubled by it." he replied, sipping his water. "We find out things other ways...you've tried the street, you've tried the internet...how about a sting where you make like you want a contract?"

"Puta bai da faiya pureisu." cheeped Zippo. "Kiipa warumu."

Malachai put on his new toy, dazzled by the lights. "You're so nice...that must be why nice people come to you. I bet your karma's amazing!"

You know who's having a good time? Honey is. She'd made herself comfortable on the floor as little fish swim around in her vision. It's much better than bright lights and pain, it's like floating in the bathtub... because there's nothing in the bathtub that can eat you. And now she's being carried! She giggles, "Don' t'row me in the fisha'man's daughta', I canno' swim."

Snuffling about the fridge, her ears perk, WAITSOULFRUIT! The white fox snaps up the first and swallows it whole, no chewing required. Head tossed back, giving a small happy yip, she'd forgotten entirely about these! Picking up a second, closing the fridge with her tail, she toted it back out to the main room and settled in a chair. There's only happy fox squeaks as she takes her time with this one.

Kyou lit a pipe, the stem clenched between hidden teeth, taking a long pull of the materials within and exhaling a shimmering cloud of fuchsia. The gentle scent of melon would draw new mushi from new patrons, the proof being the slowly twisting coil pulling away from the woman who arrived by car.

Max jumped a little at the idea...hadn't she done that once with Remy? Didn't it almost end in--no, no, don't think of that. Someone else could--then again...she did have that now.

"Maybe...but if he's already got a hacker, what can I offer...?"

"Of course," Kristen nodded, taking care to make sure she was a safe distance while being within the warmth. If it seemed a little odd to have a fire in the summer, the night's chill was enough to remind people.

Orrin flinched at the statement, forcing a slightly pained grin that was soon drowned in tea. "Well, some have seen what I can do to those who are not so nice..."

"Ai dano huuzat iis." said Zippo, setting Honey down by the fireplace. "Suwiimu onda furoa!"

"Are you saying there's a better hacker than you?" hummed Gren, eyes wide. "I didn't think it possible."

Malachai smiled brightly, none the wiser as soon as the tea was sipped. "I met that part once, you know. He was really nice...is that why he didn't want to eat me? Dharma?"

Charlotte patted Malachai's shoulder, grinning brightly. "Yes. Isn't that a nice light toy? Wonderful taste." she said, changing the subject.

The fire grew a little brighter, but the warmth remained the same. Peru was a good fire.

Honey curled up on her side, singing 'Sunshine' softly as she watches the flickering fire, "Thank 'ou."

Bandage wrapped hand reaching out to the spiraling creature, Kyou exhaled a second cloud of the shimmering smoke. You are something I've seen by the River

"Pfft, no way! I totally cracked him super easy!" Max scoffed. "I can keep up with Ty and Superdude...I can't invent and stuff, but I can hack 'em under the table! Lizzie, you've got yourself a stinger! I'll totally scout it!"

A couple days had passed, and Azana was downstairs with Sosol, making lunches. "So, they got you fixed up for the tests?"

"M-hm," he nodded. "I'm taking the FAST after you...and there's a few PK tests."

"You're not the only one," Tyler sighed, envelope in hand. "Since I'm designated as a field tech, I get to take the field exams, too. We'll see how Taylor did."

With a certain amount of laconic charm, Remy strolled down the stairs in pursuit of snackage. "Hello, hello, to you and your own...what's new, guys?" he grinned, looking a mite disheveled.
