[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

((Ack! Sorry; it's been crazy!))

"Hey, Remy," Azana greeted half-heartedly. "It's testing time again...we were just about to head out, actually." She held up the lunchbox and the broom (a normal one this time) to show her point.

"I won't be too long...they can't make me take the SITs; I helped draft them," Tyler chuckled. "Gotta love the perks of being hyper-intelligent."

"I doubt the world's going to end before we get back," Sosol added, "though Max is working on a case with the Knights and ourselves...maybe we'll be back in time to take care of that."

((This may work in my favor, seeing as how I'm working 70 hour weeks for the next two. @_@))

(WHOA WAIT I THOUGHT YOU WERE AT GENCON)

Remy hummed, scratching the back of his head. "All I got goin' on is Henge making a nest of my bed...he found the dragon egg Kyou gave me, and parental instincts set in. I think we'll be okay...I mean, Max hasn't seemed too rattled and the place isn't on fire again, so you guys go try to have fun, okay?"

(70HOURS!?!??!?!?)

((I am...I came up for air and to do a little post. Today's the last day, and oddly I'm awake and ready before my travel partner. And yes, 70 hours. The people who write the schedule at my retail job didn't quite get the memo and scheduled me for almost ALL my available hours.))

"..." Azana took a moment to take that in. She vaguely remembered Henge, but since when did Remy have a dragon egg? "Okaaaay...dragon nest. I'll keep that in mind. You guys ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be," Sosol frowned. "I just hope I've been practicing enough."

"You're actually nervous?" Tyler blinked. "Why not just predict how it'll go?"

"I consider that cheating," he answered plainly. "Let's go."

With that, two of the trio vanished under the cloak while Azana closed the door behind her, lifting off on broom.

Remy waved a bit, grinning at their exits, and strolled into the kitchen to prepare henge something more interesting then instant ramen.

"...dun dun," Max hummed softly, creeping into the kitchen. "...dun dun....dun dun dun dun DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!" As it reached a full crescendo, she pounced on Remy, which is something close to trying to topple a statue. "Thought my boyfriend senses were tingling! Hi!"

A hooded figure walked up to the door, glancing around itself cautiously before knocking.

Remy bowed some with the pounce, in part letting her win, in part caught off guard. "Hello, beautiful!" he laughed, turning about to try and peck her cheek. "What's new, aside from the wig?"

Zippo dutifully trotted to the door and hopped onto the knob, wriggling enough to turn it with a cheery "KAMIIIIN!"

"I'm helpin' hunt bad guys again!" Max announced, giggling from the cold kiss. "Superdude an' the Knights are back in town, the GMO's doin' their funky test thing, and we're all gonna bust up some gun-dealin' guy. Lizzie tipped us off."

The figure glanced around before doing what came naturally...looking downward. There stood a diminutive chibi, a being she rarely came across since they were practically indestructible. "Hello, small one. Is the one called Orrin here...? I truly must speak with him."

"Sounds rad! Any way I can help? Goodness knows we haven't co-busted heads in a while...kinda gettin' stir-crazy, and summer's no time for that."

"Yaaa, ya! Ai teikyuu." said Zippo, hopping off of the doorknob and holding the hem of her robe, skittering along to lead her up the stairs.

"Eh, the head-bustin' seems a little boring...just some goons and a delusional billionaire. But hey, if ya wanna do it...we might even beat 'em all to the punch!" Max smirked. "Between you're cool vamp-ness and my little friend, we can't lose, right?"

She followed it up the stairs, not wanting to rip her robe in the process. She had to trust it...they were rarely the sort to lie. Too simple for that.

"Right right! Still, is this, like, GMO business, or kind of free-for-all business? Don't wanna horn in on someone else's job, right?" he asked, turning about and scooping up Max into a hug.

Reaching Orrin's door, Zippo flopped onto his back and kicked the door with pedalling legs. "Oriiin! Oriiiin! YU GATA VIISIITA!"

"Um...technically?" She chuckled sheepishly. "I mean, it's their mission, but the Knights are affiliates...and, um, they consult with me sometimes...okay, so it's totally their mission, but they're testing right now! I'm sure they wouldn't mind, right?"

"What on Earth does he want--" Orrin pulled open the door, freezing mid-sentence and taking a moment to shake off the hooded visage. "S-Samsara...? Is that you...?"

"Forgive my short notice," she muttered quietly, pulling off the hood, "but it was quite urgent and I had not the time for correspondence."

"No, no...Hey, maybe we can do them a favor, and get it solved! How about that idea, huh?" he grinned fangily, rubbing noses. "Bet that'd be a nice get-home gift."

Zippo chirruped, tilting his head. She was a nice-smelling lady, and probably not food. "Viisiita."

"It's already solved! We know who, where, and what! We just gotta go get the goods," Max beamed. "Careful, though...I know bullets don't kill you, but they're gonna have lots. I don't like seein' ya get Swissed." She paused, thinking a moment.

"Ya think it'll be okay, just us two? I'm so used ta a bigass team."

"Um, please come in!" Orrin gestured, the pristine room waiting with a comfortable chair pulled from his pocket's confines. "Wow, this is a surprise...I've missed you!"

Samsara embraced him gently, offering a smile. "As have I, you wanderer, you. I wish this visit were merely social...I come to warn you, as a friend. Law is coming."

"Well, that depends...how many are there? What're we lookin' at here?" he said, thinking aloud. "Like...is there a gang? Should I summon like 8,000 rats or what?"

Zippo trotted after, quite curious about the situation, and sat on Orrin's foot.

"Well, he's a billionaire makin' a buncha shady weapons for profit," Max huffed. "I'm bettin' he's gotta few bucks ta throw around for some muscle. Rats wouldn't hurt. I'd call some of my buddies, but...well, I don't know a ton who can stop bullets, ya know?"

If Orrin didn't seem pale before, he did now as he sunk into a chair, staring in disbelief at Samsara. "I...I don't understand...I've been doing my job. Why would I need a performance review...?"

"Oh, sweetie..." Samsara's expression sank, too, as she stood there. "Chibi. Bring your mistress. I think she will want to hear this, too..."
