[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"There's always room for two on my Vespa...did you know, I've actually bought you a helmet for it? Not just summoned one?" she prattled as they left, shutting the door behind.

Remy winced slightly at the sound of the door closing, the pair's scents fading with them. "They just left...anyone else we could bring..?"

Zippo sat up in a teacup, stretching his toes, and yawned widely.

"I can't wait for the helmet-head," Orrin chuckled, walking on toward the Vespa. A helmet for him...he wondered what it looked like.

"Ugh, crap, I dun--" She paused at a high-pitched yawn. "...! Chibi! They're tiny and strong and indestructible and eat stuff!" She beamed...she had enough colorful and shiny things to employ chibis. But which one was it.

"Haaaiiii~" She called out in her best Chibi-english. Orrin was better at it, but it sounded like Engrish, and she'd watched enough anime to pick it up.

Marilyn came downstairs, looking through a purse and counting what money she had. She needed a suit...but she hadn't worn one in years. All gowns and dresses. She would have asked Max, but she was afraid of what all that would entail. Besides, they looked busy.

The helmet in question was made of metal with a movable grated visor, looking remarkably like that of a knight, but moreso like that of Super Grover. She presented it proudly. "I will admit to a touch of personal modification."

"Hai~!" cheered Zippo, hopping from his cup and tottering over. "Hawa yuu?"

Remy grinned brightly. "Brilliant! Charlotte's always on about how crazy tough they are...let's find out!"

Max's efforts at Chibish earned a few more wee faces from the corners: a tiny Henge, and Fee.

"Wa?"
"..."

Last time, Mia hadn't even made it into the inn before dashing off in skittish fear. Fear of what? She wasn't sure herself. Probably something mundane like new people. This time, though, Mia had managed to make it to the front door. Although, that was only because there was no scary people inside to make her want to go to the garden instead. In fact, she sort of wanted to go in. Through the windows, she caught glimpse of an awfully cute creature, a chibi come to life it seemed.

Free hand on door knob, the girl hesitated for a full minute and then another. The puppet hand was preemptively brought up to her face, obscuring most of her visage with the the rabbit puppet known as Arrr. Finally, after three minutes and then some, Mia turned the door knob painfully slowly, and then, once it was opened just wide enough for her to go through, slipped in as quickly as she could. The idea was to get it over quickly. Although, Mia quickly discovered after getting it over that she had jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

Like a deer in headlights, the girl froze in front of the door and stared hard at the ground. She had wanted to come in because it looked like a nice place, but now that she was in, she hadn't a clue what to do. She was awfully frightened, scared about so many things. What if she interrupt something? Maybe she wasn't supposed to come in? Was everybody already busy? What if the stuff here was expensive?

"I almost feel I need to fish out a lance," Orrin laughed lightly, flopping down the visor. "Shall we, then?"

"Dude, I'm, like, the Chibi Whisperer," Max marveled at the trio peeking out to her. She smiled sweetly to them, dropping to sit on her knees to keep them from shaking.

"Now that I've got your attention, how'd you like to eat a bunch and bite on bad guys, huh? Run around a big fancy house and make all sorts of trouble?"

Marilyn opened the door to leave, letting Max propose to the chibis in peace, but she stopped at the young girl standing there. She blinked a moment before giving a gentle smile. "There's no need to agonize over a decision. Come in. We welcome all here."

"Allons-y~" cheered Charlotte, donning her winged helmet a la Brunhilde, and speeding off with her sweetie in tow. No Law was gonna catch them!

Remy waved to the new girl, grinning. "Hey."

The wee Emi rubbed a baggy eye, emerging from the couch, clustering with the other chibis. Zippo, Hii-chan, and Fee clustered about Max, cooing curiously., respective tails flicking.

"Yaaaaa!"
"Ai wanaeiitam!"
"..." Hii lashed his tail, smiling bright.
"Kanaiiitam?"
"Aima itt aaaaru da meta."

"Ya can iit anybody who ain't the fancy guy. Or the lady. She smells like metal. Easy to find, right?" Max smiled to them. "I hope you're hungry. There's a lot of 'em!" With renewed vigor and faith, she faced her boyfriend. "Hope you've got your bracer...we've got a silver princess ta save!"

Marilyn blinked, guiding the girl in so the others could leave. "I always thought they were odd," she muttered, letting the girl have her choice of comfy chairs. "My name is Marilyn. How may I help you?"

"Huuza fansii gai?" asked Fee, tail lashing. "Ai wana baitiim."

"No no Fii! Yuu gata saviim foa desurt." said Zippo sagely, looking to Max. "Wii duiit! Iitamaru!"

Hii-chan waved his tail, cheering with his arms in semaphoric delight.

Remy grinned. "Think three's enough?"

"Yaaaayayayayaya." growled Fee happily.

"All right! Let's go! Lead the way, babe!"

The small girl froze at being addressed, her puppet held in front of her face and eyes wide. She somehow managed to keep her feet moving as she was gently pulled from the door and led to an assortment of couches. Remaining in mildly stunned silence, Mia sat quietly with her puppet still in front of her face until she was addressed. Wanting to be polite, the girl began to speak quietly. As usual, she spoke as if it was her puppet speaking Taking on a blocky, robotic voice Mia introduced her puppet and herself, "Hello, I'm Arr. The girl behind me is Mia. I-...," her voice broke for a moment out of sheer nervousness, "I hope we're not interrupting anything?". It was a rather strange way of doing things, but it was the only way the unnaturally shy girl could get herself to interact with others. Her eyes were glued to the floor, and while it may have seemed like she didn't want to be in the inn and talking to strangers, she really did want to. She wanted company just for the sake of company. She wanted to just chat. It was just really hard for her to do it without worrying about a billion and one unrelated things.

"Heavens, no!" Marilyn smiled. "There is so much activity here...you shouldn't ever feel bad for being a part of it." It was a little uncomfortable, talking to a puppet like that, but she went with it. She had talked to stranger things before...

"Aaaand, welcome to my humble abode!" Max opened the door in a sweeping gesture, a girl of greys strolling in after her.

"It's...very rustic," she blinked in surprise. "And yet...it hides such modernity within. Your taste is impeccable, Max."

Marilyn peeked up from the mildly awkward conversation as if to warn them away. The shy girl didn't need Max's enthusiasm right now.

"So, you were sayin' ya lied ta him about me...?" Max asked, pulling out a chair before taking one herself.

"No, not quite...I didn't quite realize who you were. I only mentioned you looked familiar," Victoria nodded. "I see your beau enjoyed my work..."

Adam seemed to have come out of hiding, placing tiny fanged pumpkins about the main room's tables in decoration for the season. He perked up, waving at the entering crowd. "Hello!"

Remy sat up, smiling. "Ah, cool! They didn't tail you!"

"Dude, I can fly," Max beamed. "How would they do that?"

"A helicopter, perhaps?" Victoria added after a moment of thought, testing out a chair and eyeing the carving on the table.

"Doncha dare ruin my mood like that," Max threated, arms and legs still polka-dotted from the materia arsenal she had packed. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to use that many at a time, but no more would fit, so she at least found the limit. She'd have to tell Ty later.

"I dunno. I can jump well enough to fly, so I don't put things out of reach any more. Just think of who usually lives here, and you'll get what I mean." said Remy, getting himself a snack: nectar.

Adam chuckled to himself. "We sure do get some real characters...miss, can I get you anything? You look a little frazzled."

As Remy flopped on a nearby couch with his drink, the chibis popped out of Remy's pocket. "Wii diidiit!" cheered Zippo.

"So, ah...how'd I enjoy your work, now?"

"Anything sounds quite delightful," Victoria teased with a grateful smile. "Though, seriously, I'd like something simple...John has expensive taste, and it was wearing out my senses..."

At the question, she paused and turned her silver gaze to Remy...more specifically, his bracer. "I remember that commission fondly...though I'll admit I'm not used to such precise empty places for circuitry and occult items."

Max blinked, looked between the two, and gasped. "Oh, yeah...! You're registered! Dude, Remy, Jimmy probably had her make the bracer casing for your supervamp stuff!"

She beamed. "An' I bet ya recognized me 'cuz he explained it all to ya!"

Adam nodded, obliging, and tottered off. She looked like the sort that would enjoy a nice cucumber water.

Remy blinked, glancing to his bracer, and smiled as it slowly dawned on him. "Say...you made this? Wow! I have to say, it's delightful...such fine details...and look, here, you can see my favourite spot!"

He'd clearly run his thumb over a patch with his thumb with such regularity that it was more polished than the rest.
