Lizzy didnt say anything for a moment she was partly caught up on the man implying she was interesting. Then her face want white. He is makin fun of me! She yelled in her head. Surely she was kinda a clutz... maybe strange for coming here because something told her.. oh who was she kidding. She planted her head firmly to the counter and sighed. "I swear im not crazy.." Her voice seemed a tad exasperated.

Adam was rather bewildered, and frowned thoughtfully. Wasn't being interesting a good thing? Nothing was worse than a boring person, after all, and even then those had potential.

"Now, who said you were? I don't think you're crazy...this isn't the first time something like this has happened here, you know."

Lizzy half peeked from behind her long tendrils of dark hair. SHe didnt say anything at first. she was waiting for bait and switch when after a spell nothing crazy happened she sat up again. "So you mean to tell me.. you get people coming here at odd hours looking for people they dont know going on some crazy notion that they have to come here" her words were more a sentence than a question. She didnt expect an answer. Surely no place had things like this happen.

Adam nodded. "Not precisely like that, but we get all sorts in here...demons, vampires, psychics, wizards, psychic wizards, half-animals, hackers, ravers, time-travellers, techno-whizzes...the list goes on." he said, listing on his fingers. "We've had prophecies come through right in our own main room...so, no. Waiting for someone on a hunch is kinda nice...it's like getting a surprise present!"

Lizzy nodded then shrugged then dazed out for a moment "Only we dont know if its going to be socks.. a lump or coal... or a prized gem." She then shook her head and looked up at Adam "Lets hope for nothing drastic" She smiled in her odd little way then rested her head once more.

He nodded, ever sunny, and refilled her water. "I don't doubt it'll all work out...after all, why not hope for the best? Does this happen often?"

lizzy didnt hesitate to reply. Her head perked up almost instantly. "Nope. First time ive ever left my home..." SHe grabbed the glass gratefully and took a sip. "Thank you" she said in a sigh of relief at the cool rush of amazingness.

Adam gaped a moment, wholly impressed. "You mean...this is your first ever outing? Your first time going anywhere alone?"

"Both!" lizzy replied cheerily as she downed Her glass no longer regarding etiquette.Then after a moment she realized he was gapping at her. so sheepishly she dropped her head to the counter once more. "Is that strange?.. well i mean of course its strange... im sure everyone here is some sort of adventurer.." she realized she was babbling and silenced her self.

Adam shook his head feverishly, excited. "Not really, no. But, that's wonderful! This is the first place I ever wound up going on my first solo trip into the world too!" he beamed, clearly delighted. "Isn't that a fun coincidence? This place must have some real magnetism."

"And now you work here? How did that happen?" Lizzy asked out of curiosity. SHe had read about places like these in books from all over. Being in one was fairly exciting and talking to a man who worked at one coming from her same.. well close to her background... how fasinating! (I has work in the morn so im off to bed for the night hun! nightynights!)

"Custom is my specialty," she grinned before hearing Remy's question. Victoria paused in a thoughtful moment...and then, a flicker of hope. Her face became brighter than it had in weeks. "I do...! It's locked up, safe and sound--" It faded, her eyes dropping back to the half-drunk glass.

"...at my shop..."

"Agreed...I know he's been fixed, but he remains as aggravating as ever," Tyler shook his head, remembering the pie contest, the Diedrich infestation, his run for president and the Easter Bunny...and blinked at the table. A box, and a bow...where did that come from?

"Didn't think I'd forget, did you...?" Azana muttered as she walked by to fill her glass. "Happy Birthday, Tyler...thought I'd get it to you before the madness started."

It's from me, too, Sosol added, sticking with Malachai, Remy, and Victoria. The newcomer was intriguing, but already busy with Adam. He'd wait his turn.

"Cat naps rule!!!" Max called gleefully, sliding down the banister and landing in the main room. She was freshly de-dotted, and just for laughs, now wore fake cat ears in a purple leopard print. Her hair, obviously a wig, was in cotton candy hues of pink and blue, and her outfit only added to the slight color overload. "Oh! Testin's done already?! An' where's Krissy? Doesn't she love me anymore?"

"I think it's nearly impossible to hate you," Sosol chuckled. "I think she had the latest tests of all of us. She's probably sleeping it off."

"Good! 'Cuz I haven't forgotten she can go clubbin' with me now! Not that she couldn't before, but she's too much of a good girl to sneak in with me." Max laughed, looking to the new person.

"Ooooh...rarer than it should be. Hi there!"

"Oh, well..." hummed Adam, taking a barstool seat. "I found I liked it here so much, I took up residence as the gardener...I just love working in dirt, ha ha! This place is odd that way...it finds a way to fit people in."

Remy grinned, waving a hand. "We can get in there...and it's probably better to do it sooner than later, really, before your blackmailer breaks in. We could sent an unknown face...or someone invisible."

Mal turned slowly toward Tyler, eyes bright. "...It's your birthday?"

"Or both," Tyler chimed in before looking to Malachai. "Yeah...October 17th. I'm 34 now." He opened the gift, wondering what they could have gotten him. "...how thoughtful. Thank you." He closed the box, setting it into his bag with a chuckle.

"Out-thief him...I understand," Victoria nodded. "With all these people here...there must be someone capable."

"You have no idea," Azana laughed to Victoria, Tyler's reaction just about what she expected.

"I could fetch it for you...I would just need the safe's combination..." Sosol offered.

"Stealth ain't exactly my thing. Sorry, hon! I'm gonna stay an' socialize!" Max beamed, looking to sit with Adam and the new girl.

Malachai promptly bolted back into his room, emerging soon after with something hastily wrapped in discarded enveloped, bound fully in an entire roll of scotch tape. Proudly, he offered Tyler the gift once he'd finished with Azana's.

Remy grinned. "Well, I could for starters, but let's see who wants to. Sol? Ghost cloak?"

Adam smiled, waving Max over. "Max, come meet Lizzy!"
