Zulma looked at Mikila with a genuine smile. The kid was full of life and happiness. She noticed how Jeff's hand had lingering a little longer against the soft skin of the girl, his thumb slightly brushing her cheek before he had walked away.

The innkeeper chuckled when she demonstrated how tall Jeff was. "Yes he is very tall." he had grown so fast and so much. She wondered if that was why she was so hard on him, forgetting that he was still young.

Then as fast as she came, Mikila flew back away to observe Tyler and Zippo. The blond woman's golden gaze lingered against the back of Tyler's head. They had been close then she had disappeared...again. She looked away, this time to sit in one of the armchairs by the fireplace. She closed her eyes a moment, lost in thoughts.

Kenos sat there with Lin. Looking at her. "Thank you Lin-san. I must prepare the mental tribute. For with my sword I must bury the connections to Lillliana so that she too can rest in peace yet live on in my memories." He said without emotion then fell silent. He too was comfortable with the silence that entered. They neither spoke nor moved yet only they knew the intellectual levels of their conversation of no words. Both understood things on a higher plane and spoke of conversations very indepth and at times spiritual. It wouldn't be hard to guess they'd be able to possibly hold a thoughtless, motionless, wordless conversation simply on a spiritual levle. He was alright with this silence as well. They had spoke a lot and as of yet their conversation had no need for further word. They were able to enjoy the silence of their presence near the other just as much as their deep and meaningful conversations and contemplations.

After a long moment, Lin stood up, bowed then without a word moved across the room in direction of the kitchen. As she passed next to Mikila, the Asian woman slowed down slightly, her silver almost cold gaze upon the child, then she disappeared in the other room.

Tyler stopped a moment in his work, producing a small pen and a memo book from a cargo pocket. "Puzzle away," he invited, scooting the two toward her as he finished a few last pieces of his current project. They were pretty decent parts...at the very least a step above the typical market. He had that sensation again, the one of being watched. He glanced about, but it vanished in the instant before. Whatever the source, he'd tend to it when he was sure this strange mechanism was safe.

Violet let out a small smile at her new work. It had been weeks since she had had a new subject, though Victoria was very willing and strangely gorgeous for being so monochromatic. Her new subject, however, was now talking to--

"...Jeff..." she murmured, a little surprised to see him.

Sosol walked toward the fireplace, seeking some warmth and fixing a glass on the way. He took a seat, gazing into the flame and remembering the stone bird that called it home. The glass hovered toward Zulma.

"...do I have to guess what's on your mind...?"

Feeling that he had accomplished his duty, Jeff gave a small nod to Layla without really waiting for her to react then walked to Violet whose eyes he caught.
"Hey...Violet." said the adolescent as he stopped next to the young woman. As usual he did not really know what to say but he pushed himself this time. It had been so long.
"How are you doing?" he asked almost gently.

Zulma chuckled when she heard Sosol. "Wouldn't that be an interesting exercise?"
She opened her eyes and looked at the bartender. She seemed to hesitate then let out a small sigh.
"How is Tyler doing?" she asked lowering her voice slightly. That was not really what she wanted to know but she did not want to be too direct either.

Mikila looked at the man. She was glad he didn't get upset or angry when she hugged him. She took the papers and pulled them to her. She began to draw the puzzle slowly. Looking up at him with a smile then back to work. Watching his hands move sometimes as she kicked her legs back and forth.

Layla blinked and looked at Jeff. Smiling a bit but didn't say anything. "It is alright. I forgive you. No worries." She smiled at him warmly. Then listened to Azana. "Yes. I know. You all give me the inspiration to give it my all. To rego for my dreams even with the trauma I must now overcome." She said with a smile. She felt a gaze on her and turned to Violet. Smiling and shyly waved at her. Yet she didn't move to go talk to her when she noticed that Jeff seemed to have a strong desire to do so. She laid her head on her arm daydreaming about things she wanted to do. She was smiling and at peace for the moment.

Jade ~ Runaway Geisha

Jade walked almost doll like. Moving with slow and sluggish movements. Though she had run during a war she was not afraid. She felt no feelings towards the matter at all. Just an aura of relief to not be there anymore. She walked with her sleevers still hiding her form. Heading towards a door. It was the door to the kitchen not that Jade knew this. She merely walked without any expression on her face. Her eyes seemed distant to the world. Almost like merely watching it through her eyes rather than reallly seeing it. She found herself staring at the door like a foreign concept then moved her hand and pointed without a word at the handle. Plants nearby rising up and weaving themselves together and over and around the door. She animated and controlled the plantlife with only the thought will of make it open.

Then door finally opened with a thud as she lowered her hand and the plants shrank away. She walked in without a sound merely moving and looking around. The young asian creature was glad to not be with the evil madam. She was not truly understanding of this gladness just lighter feeling. She walked slowly with geisha trained elegance and grace. Even as she staggered from exhaustion she out of training forced her body graceful and elegant.

(*sneakily posting from work*)

Zippo, upon spying the vials, warbled in excitement, toe claws flicking eagerly at the prospect of drinking an entire rainbow. "AI WANA DURINKU ORANJU!" he loudly declared, hugging his tail. "Iisu MII fureiva!"

"I'm alright," she answered, flipping through a few pages of her sketchbook to show off her life. "I...I haven't told anyone...but I'm graduating soon..."

"Then lucky you," Tyler laughed, uncapping the vial and very carefully handing it to the chibi. He had no idea how this would impact Zippo...but they could eat anything. Maybe it wouldn't do anything at all.

"Hardly...it wouldn't be a guess," Sosol reminded her, working on his own drink. "Tyler...? He is well enough...or at least he acts like it. There is something troubling him. He hides it well, and I don't want to let him know I've picked up on it. I've gotten good at playing dumb over the years."

He took a long sip, mulling it over. He knew precisely what it was, but to tell Zulma that would be unethical. She'd have to find out herself.

"Dreams are what keep us going," Azana reinforced it before letting her dream. She remembered the dreams of her past...and never, not in a million years, was a relatively calm life at this Inn part of them. At least not until she arrived. Ever since, her dream was for a prospering Inn, and a successful and loving 'family'.

(Aaaaand to bed because work)

Zippo merrily took the vial and drank the contents before eating the glass and cork, a small burp his thanks.

Mikila took the pen and memo book and began to draw her picture puzzles. At least what she knew as picture puzzles. She continued drawing while looking up. Closing her eyes and hummed song code words that helped her remember and know how to draw. Then again what she called picture puzzles was really extremely detailed pictures and recreations upon papers of places she had seen with her eyes. She continued drawing before she had all three pictures done.

Taking the items and crawled cautiously over to Tyler and wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug. Letting go and scooted backwards quickly afraid the man would be upset. Putting the memo pad with the pictures in front of him. "I finish with my picture puzzles Anasi." She said. It was a made up word and a nickname she gave him that she wasn't sure she was going to translate for him anytime soon. She wanted to make the cool man who worked like daddy did happy and better. She liked him and Giant (Jeff).

"I can tell you the where they is. In what order." She said softly.

Jeff took that as an invitation to lean over and look more closely at the drawings. She had 'improved' a lot...and not only her drawings. He could see as well that her way of dressing and holding herself were different, more confident maybe.
He smiled at the confidence. She was telling him before any other. "When?" he remembered their trip to the fair and added. "Is there some place you would like to go to celebrate afterwards?" he offered.

Zulma shook her head. "I know, that was ironic." she smiled at the man, listening. She frowned slightly, her eyes drifted to Tyler. What was bothering Mister Ten Swords? Was it work? Was it something else? Someone else? She felt like a teen when it came to that sort of things. She pressed her lips together. She knew Sosol's ability and she knew that he always knew more than he let on.
"I am sure that even if you knew what it was you would not tell me..." she grinned slightly. "I should just go talk to him I guess." she added, yet she did not move from her seat. "How are you doing?' she asked. She was selfish at time but she truly cared for Sosol and Azana and many others at the Inn, even if she showed it in a strange way at time.

In the kitchen
Lin looked up as she heard some footsteps behind her. The tea master blinked and looked at the new comer. She knew that way of walking and also, since she had joined the Inn, that new person was probably the first one who held themselves in a way which was very similar to hers, controlled and elegant. Her silver eyes blinked again.

Jade ~ Runaway Geisha

Jade glanced around yet did not speak. She did not even really seem to react. Her emotional indifference was of a different variety than Kenos. It was more as if there was no actual attachment to emotions or reality where such emotions existed. The eyes held no soul. Like an elegant and graceful broken doll she exhaustedly forced her walk towards the other room. Stopping when her gaze focused on the older asian woman. Standing there she put her hands together and made a traditional elegant geisha's bow to a higher status person before rising and stood there with her arms at her side. Her body showed it subtle weariness yet trained body struggled to not show this.

Lin responded to the bow in the traditional manner. She appreciated the mark of respect the younger woman gave her but something was strange about that new comer, outside of the fact that she arrived by the kitchen.
"I am Lin. May I be of assistance?" she asked in her composed voice.
