[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Kenos looked at Adam. "I never said it was. Merely what opponent if I had to fight I would rather take on." He said with a blinking. This man was spazzing for no reason whatsoever. Were almost all other people so spastic?

"My only instinct and act was the one I made. When you told me to back down I did. My not understanding is indeed an act of ignorance. However, I don't care if he is a deity or not. If I was sounding like an a** then I am sorry for such an action. I am not good with speaking with others." He said without really any reaction to the outburst Adam had.

"I respected you when you said not to get into it." He said without any expression. He listened to him speaking even as he continued going on. "My actions in aggression or otherwise ceased with your stating I needed to. I haven't moved and so I am staying out of it." He pointed out.

Ignoring any parts of the mans ranting that didn't seem more than over emotional unimportant arrogants and sharp tongued commentary. For one raging about him being an a** he sure wasn't one to talk. Even if he had come off as an a** himself returning the commentary that way didn't make him much better. Not that it really mattered to him. "I have just now observed what your comment about how angry anyone is doesn't matter in things." He said simply before falling silent and closing his eyes.


Mixer put down the glass and stood up. Walking away from the bar and headed towards the front. Her gaze moved to Law. Her father mentioned entities such as him a long time ago. While the others went off at each other in corners or conversed in hushed sects she moved outside. Her business here was done. It was time to go deal with some more of her own corrupt agents. My...how the times had changed.

Adam nodded stiffly. "Good."

He had never disliked anyone before quite like this; he concluded that hibernation instinct was giving him a waspish nature. Sparing the room more tension, he took back to his teacup.

Malachai hummed, tail twitching. "Well, Zulma and Az are in there...but you're about the most just person I've ever smelled, so if they can't handle it, maybe you can? I think he'd rather keep looking than stick around to be scolded..."

"I rather think you're right, Mal. I doubt very much he wants to stick around. Maybe, though, keeping him around will buy us some time to figure out how to help Charlotte and Orrin." He dismounted his barstool and walked around to grab a drink.

The demon shrugged. "How do things at our level ever aid the deific? There's not much we can do beyond have faith in them...gods are only as strong as the amount they're believed in...maybe these folks are like that?"

Arguments abounded, and Law simply shook his head. "You have done enough, small one. Institutions be what they may, I have no use for a mercenary stool pigeon." It seemed, for once, the best way to quell the chaos was his lack of presence.

"I did not intend to cause such a heated debate. I will depart."

"Given your first impression, that seems the best idea," Sosol replied, looking to Azana with slight curiosity. Something was on her mind...but he knew better than to pry in there. Something else peeked in, however...a plan. A devious plan. A brilliant plan.

"However...it seems quite out of custom to come to an Inn and not at least stay for a drink. I doubt one glass will be the difference between finding them and not."

"Just surprised is all," Tyler answered, looking to Law and Sol as the former began to move for the door. To him, it seemed the worst idea to let him leave, but it wasn't like they'd get in the way of the Cosmic Order...right?

Violet shuddered, another picture beginning to spring into life on the page. It was overwhelming, the sudden inspiration brought about by this large clash of ideals and personalities. Who knew Law had a personality? Who knew Law was a person in the first place?

Chris saw Law begin to depart and moved between the deity and the door. "I'd like a word, Law. I believe you know who I am and why you owe me that much."

Law paused, looking at Chris before giving a nod. If he weren't surrounded by philosophical arguments and cowering demons, he may have even hinted at a grin. "The defender of justice who calls himself Knightsoul. I know you quite well."

He glanced to Sosol. "...I see what you mean now. One round, if you please. Hero, you have until I finish my drink."

Tyler nodded. Quick thinking, Chris.

Azana had rejoined the room, everything surrounding recent events finally making sense. Well, except the part where Law was after Karma. Orrin hadn't done anything wrong, to her knowledge.

"Don't get uppity with me, Law. My friends and I have done a lot in your name." Chris took a sip of his own drink. "I want to know what's so important about those two kids that you bother to walk among the mortals instead of letting us handle it ourselves like you lazy bums usually do." He knew it probably wasn't the best idea to argue with Law, but he also knew starting an argument was his best stall tactic. He just hoped his friends would pick up on his scheme and use the borrowed time to their advantage.

"Charlotte and Orrin are friends of mine, Law, and you know what that means to me. I've done a lot for you and I don't want us to be on opposite sides. I'm simply asking why this is so important to you."

"I could ask the same of you," Law's grouchy expression returned as he found a seat and waited for his drink. "I'm not asking you to be on an opposite side, Christopher. You would never embrace Chaos; it is not in your nature. Allow Order to take its course, as you tend to do."

Sosol, meanwhile, was hard at work. Law asked for a round, but never made a clear request. So, the bartender was trying his hand at a rather complicated mixed drink. "It will be a few minutes; I don't want to half-a** something for Law."

Ha! Tyler tried his best to hide his smile. Sosol was quite sneaky, if given the chance. This was brilliant...he just had to watch it unfold.

"As for what's so important, there are multiple things. First of all, this involves an Agent of the Order, not some mortal. It has been complicated by the influence of a Chaos Beast. The thing you call Charlotte, if it helps." Law glanced up to Sosol, scowling at the saccharine smile he got in return.

"I understand you are all attached to both my subordinate and the Chaos Beast, but these activities cannot continue unabated."

"I would hardly describe what I do as allowing Order to take its course so much as cleaning up Order's messes, but let's not argue semantics. You still haven't explained why this requires your personal touch. Why not send one of your agents to handle it, as you tend to do?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Messes? Is the Order not maintained?" Law shook his head, a mildly exasperated sigh leaving him as Sosol finally poured the cocktail. "And I sent an Agent...she failed."

He even delivered it manually, setting them down. "One special for Law, and your favorite, Chris."

"If Order were maintained you'd have no need of me, wouldn't you agree? And you're dodging my question."  

[Azana Brown]

"Acts of Treason against the Order are not taken lightly," Law said after a lengthy sip. It was clear he was trying to speed this along.

Sosol seemed slightly nervous. He reached out his senses, trying his best to check on Orrin and Charlotte.

Nothing...? But how...?

"Ah, so now we're getting somewhere. This is about treason, is it? And what traitorous act could have gotten you're attention, I wonder?"  

[Azana Brown]

"It is, and your interrogation is reaching beyond your authority," Law scowled. "The Karma Keeper has been found working against the Order with an intent to go rogue, to leave it entirely."
