"Checking it out sounds like a feasible plan. You, me and Az should look into it. I'll call in the cavalry and have them meet us halfway. Tyler, you okay holding down the fort?" He looked down at Zippo. "You, too, little guy. Keep an eye on things here for us, okay?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Sure...I love watching kids," he said flatly, mild sarcasm to avoid hurting the girl's feelings. It was nothing personal...he just had a hard time working with little kids. Even if they did seem to enjoy his company...maybe he could teach her something while they were out. Or introduce her to JIM.

"Just like old times...and if we time it right, our ride should be here," Sosol grinned as the door opened, revealing Kristen, Terry, and Stella. "Hold that door, if you would."

"I love him, but I hate it when he does that," Azana chuckled, patting Zulma on the shoulder. "It sounds like reminiscing will have to wait...but yeah, I'll let you in on that when I get back. Unless you want to check this out, too. If Law's getting his hands dirty, it has to be big, right?"

Zippo saluted with a toe claw before adorably flopping onto the counter. Malachai settled his chin on the bar. This was far too large a battle for him...demon politics was one thing, but he wasn't about to get into that large a quibble.

Before they could interact further, the conversation drifted to Charlotte and Orrin, which was normal, after all they were at risk.
She remained silent but then spoke up when it was question to go to the GMO HQ to help their friends.
She had a small chuckle at Azana's comment. "No worries."
Eyes on Chris, Sosol and Azana, she nodded.
"If you would not mind, I would love to join in. You know how I can't stand being idle." She felt bad for Tyler, however, she wanted so much to be part of the action, but she did not want to be a burden to the trio.

Jeff frowned.
"Why would she do that when she knows that he does not play with that kind of thing?" he grunted with a sigh.
He looked at the others, it seemed as if a party was getting ready to head out after Law.

"It's your call, Z. I trust your judgement."  

[Azana Brown]

"Oh, just come on already," Azana chuckled, offering a hand to Zulma. After all the traveling the Innkeeper had done, all the stories she had to tell afterwards...she wanted to share one again. Even if it was just watching the dust settle.

"Besides, I gotta bounce some ideas off of you, make sense of this whole thing. You're the only one here who was in that incident with me at all...Sol stayed home."

"Fireworks? None of you are going anywhere...I evacuated the building for a reason," Stella folded her arms, the portal closing behind her.

"If your lack of a portal ever stopped us, we'd make horrible agents," Sosol reminded her, patting her on the shoulder. "Besides, for once, we're not actually fighting. We just want to see this for ourselves."

"But Brother...this is something that has them worried. Orrin and Charlotte. We're talking about something semi-divine!" Kristen was worried, but softened it with that look in her brother's eye. He knew...no, he had seen it already!

"Eh, I've been through enough trying to herd a couple thousand cats," Terry waved it off. "I'll keep Ty and the half-pint company."

Violet looked over the drawing, pointing out details. "See how they are...look at them. Law's orderly and strict nature is irresistible to Charlotte's playful chaos...it's too fun to mess with him, precisely because he doesn't play."

Chris stepped forward and stood face to face with Stella. "Stella, you know I have nothing but respect for you and your people. So you know that I don't mean anything personal when I say this. Get out of our way...now."  

[Zulma san]

Zulma nodded at Chris and Azana. She took Azana's hand. "True we go way back when." she said with a smile.
"I'll have to shake those memories to see if I can be of help." Her golden eyes were both 'happy' and serious. She truly wanted to help and she would do her best.

Jeff looked more closely at Violet's drawing which listened to her words. She made perfect sense.
"Probably a reason why she would tease me so much. Although I'm not a divine being by any mean..." he grinned.  

[Azana Brown]

"You...weren't there when it happened," Azana muttered, walking past Stella and picking up her pseudo-broom. "I'm grateful for that. It wasn't one of my finer moments."

"Are you sure you don't want to take the cloak?" Sosol asked, letting Chris go toe to toe with Stella.

"Hey, you can't just--ugh, if we were in HQ I'd have you suspended!" Stella huffed as they continued their preparations. "Do not engage. At all. Or you'll answer to me...I know what they can do."

"So do we. We were there, too," Azana reminded her.

"So, whose is she?" Terry asked with a nudge to Tyler.

"Not funny. She stumbled in here with a briefcase of contraband. If it weren't for how our lives normally go, it'd make the start of a great action movie," Tyler answered.

"I'll make you a deal, Stella," Chris said as he prepped his gear. "If any action goes down, you can blame it all on me if it makes you feel better."  

[Zulma san]

"Oh..." answered Zulma. She tilted slightly her head, wondering how she could help. But now that she thought about it, even if she was not there when things happened, she saw Azana shortly there after, maybe she could still remember something useful. She did not let that bring her smile down and she whispered back to her friend.
"We all have moments of 'glory' we wish nobody would remember." If Azana remembered, at the time they meant, Zulma wasn't always quite...herself...

As she heard Stella try to stop them and Chris hold strong, she took a step towards them, staying behind the tall knight.
"And me, as well." she added calmly. She did not want Azana or Sosol have trouble with their superior, so it was better if people from outside took the blame.

The blond woman extended her hand and a gentle wind brought her, her katana which she slowly and carefully secured to her waist. Despite that she had no intention to attack Law. Her weapon was mere protection...in case. As she secured it, her eyes trailed a second to Tyler and she gave him a quick nod of the head.

Lin had thanked Sosol and drank slowly her glass, eyes on the counter, lost in thoughts.
When she noticed that the bartender seemed heading out, she elegantly walked to the other side of the bar and put some water to boil. She was not particularly thirsty but making tea was what she knew, her comfort zone and it was a great way for her to calm down the emotions and confusion which had stormed her usually zen mind.

Stella looked across the group, gave a harumph that Law would be proud of, and stepped aside. "If you die, I will resurrect you solely for the purpose of doing the deed myself," she threatened, a clearly empty one but somehow showing her concern for the group and her view on this excursion.

Tyler grinned knowingly, nodding to Zulma in return. "Tell me all about it when you get back. I need good data on this."

"Law was in a hurry...shouldn't we be, too?" Sosol asked, holding the cracked door open. "...erm, sorry about the damage..."

"Later, folks!" Azana waved as she departed.

Terry looked from Tyler, to Zulma, and back. "...oh, really? You got some 'data' on her, too?"

"Can it, or I will gag you with your sword," Tyler threatened under his breath, not quite as empty as Stella's.

Chris dropped the bravado and attitude and gave Stella a reassuring look. "I'll keep them safe, Stel. I promise." Flashing one of his lopsided grins, he dashed out after the others.  

[Zulma san]

Zulma's golden eyes flickered at Tyler's comment and her lips parted in a wider smile. "I shall give you a detailed report Sir!" she teased with a wink. When she'd come back, she would give him data...and she also would have a long overdue discussion with him. She had missed him.

Sosol's voice had her turn and she nodded. "Yes we should." She stepped behind Azana, waving as well to those who stayed.

Lin bowed. "Have a safe journey." she said. She did not know where they were heading but seeing how armed they were, it was not a leisure trip.

Then the tea master trotted to Tyler and Terry. "As Sosol-san is not here at the moment, I am offering to serve drinks. Would anyone of you care for something?" she offered after having politely bowed to the men. Her cool eyes were neither angry, neither smiling.

Jeff had hesitated in going with the group but for once, he did not follow Zulma. Here he could protect Violet and that was what mattered most for him.

Malachai, at Lin's question, nodded hopelessly. The humans had all gone mad.
