[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Lin's eyes widened very slightly as the giant bird stepped in. She had never seen anyone/anything like that before.
She looked back at Malachai, head slightly tilted and blinking as he mentioned her day had been hard as well. She was not the type to acknowledge that and it somehow 'bothered' her.
"Everyday is different." she replied before taking another sip.
"Malachai-san, if you would not mind enlightening me. Who was the gentleman earlier who seemed to worry everyone? And who was that very tall man who left with Sosol-san and Zulma-san?"
If she found it acceptable to ask about them as they were gone, it would not have been proper to ask about the bird who was still here.

"Oh...well...the man who came in is Law. He's, um...well, you've met Charlotte and Orrin...like how Charlotte is Chaos and Orrin is Karma, he's Law. He's in charge of laws, and upholds order all around...he's like Orrin's boss." murmured the demon, tail sinking to lie limp nearby. "And he thinks Orrin needs to be killed. Not sure why, really...that's all business what it far, far above my station."

He sipped his tea quietly. "The man who went out with the others is Chris. He's a super hero, and is really cool..! But, um, when he gets it into his head that he needs to help...well, you see what happened. He's very loyal, and the most lawful human I know...that's why he's going out after Law itself."

A loud BOOM reverberated through the Inn and Nate stumbled back out of the kitchen, charred and with one tail feather still slightly burning. He coughed, a puff of smoke exiting his beak, before passing out on the floor.

Malachai started a bit at the boom, starting at the felled bird. "...Nate?"

Zippo, never one to miss an opportunity, trotted over and gently began chewing on Nate's leg.

"Zippo, no!"

"Hisu purii-cuuked!"

Lin's face was grave as she finally understood what the commotion was about. She tried to reassure Mal. "I am sure they will stop Law if that is what must be done." she said coolly.
"A lawful super hero?" she repeated. She remembered Chris being tall.
The bang had the tea master jump off the ground. She seemed stunned for a second then saw the bird collapse.
She stood up behind the demon and trotted to Nate, confused as to what Zippo was trying to do.
"Bird-san, are you alright?" she asked, kneeing next to him, not really knowing what to do.

Nate's eyes flickered open and he squawked something that sounded like either the price of tea in China or the Colonel's secret recipe. He vaguely registered something gnawing on his leg and smelled a roasting bird.

"Th-the thing is, he's going after Orrin and Charlotte...and if there's a fight, the damage from their fight alone on everything around them would be just plain horrible...too much Chaos, too much Order, and humans get torn apart, or mutated, or all kinds of horrible things happen..." muttered the demon into his cup. "They couldn't smell his animosity...and they underestimate the strength of their friends. They're running into a nuclear fallout."

Zippo, undeterred, continued gnawing with a mellow smile.

Lin listened to Malachai but refused to let panic spread through her. She understood now very well the risks but she had a strange faith in the inhabitants of the inn.
"Please do not trouble yourself Malachai-san. I am sure peace will prevail." she said calmly.

As she realized what Zippo was doing to Nate's leg, she tried to push it away.
"Little one, this is not food." she tried to explain to the chibi.

Were he in the business of hubris, Malachai would have been gleeful. He half-laughed, giving a nodding shrug, draining his cup. "I hope so. I really do."

Zippo looked up to Lin, eyes dewy. "No? Wai hii rostaad chikaan?"

Mikila looked at him. Hoping he knew. "So someone fixed his sleepy place?" She asked. "That is good." She smiled a bit. Letting go of him. "I only knew he was a ghostie cuz he said so. Mommy always called them my imaginary fwiends." She responded. "Not all. Opani-san tells plays of guy who held skull. (shakespeare)" She said with a smile. "I might miss grumpy pants but I won't miss him calling me stupid." She said with a giggle. Covering her mouth a bit. She then lowered her hands. "Sometimes they need help. Or don't know they is. I can touches them. So...how am I to know they is ghostie unless they tell me?" She asked in confusion. Looking around for Tyler then looked back at Mal.

Nate's eyes flew open when he realized that the roasting bird he was smelling was him. He leaped up and screeched in pain as he searched for the nearest source of water, completely unaware of the chibi still latched to his leg.  

[TimeKeys]

Kenos finished working out and went to an empty room and showed. He washed his clothes in the sink before washing down the entire bathroom until it shined. Wringing out his clothing to towel dry it. He put on the clothing and reminded himself again he needed to repair it. As well as make more clothing. He went to retie his hair up when it snapped. Blinking and would have frowned if it wasn't for super soldier was out. He sighed simply and tossed it out. Walking back downstairs and over to the counter. He smelled tea. "Lin-san?" He said without any emotion or expression. When he had her attention he continued. "Can I have a cup of your tea?" He asked. Split second hope filled his voice before he went silent again. Awaiting her response.

Malachai frowned slightly at the little girl, arching a brow. "If they're floating, that's usually a sign. If you throw something at them and it goes through them, that's another. Anyway, what's it matter if they're a ghost or not? Be their friend. They need them."  

[Zulma san]

Lin looked lost all of a sudden although she understood Zippo but Nate seemed to pop back to life and ran around with the chibi still on his leg.
Then Mikila spoke of ghosts with Malachai and to finish Kenos asked for tea.
She blinked, silent a moment, then nodded at the soldier. Tea was the key. Tea that she understood and mastered.
"Please of a seat Kenos-san." she said, pointing next to Malachai. She sat back next to the men and prepared tea again.
She offered it to the soldier with a bow.
Then turned to Malachai.
"Would you care for another cup?" she offered before adding.
"I did not mean to downplay Law's abilities, nor the risks if a fight occurred." she apologized, knowing that her assessment of the situation was probably...naive.

Mikila looked at him. Blinking a bit. "They don't all float or have no legs..." She said. Scrunching her face cutely. Looking up at him horrified. "Throw something at them??? That is mean. If they weren't mad before wouldn't they be mad if I randomly threw something at them?" She said with wide eyes. Blinking a bit. "Some ghosties don't want friends. They want answers or help. Some don't know they are." She said softly. Looking at him a bit. Nodding her head though. She didn't say anything. Some of them did. "Some of them mean and scary." She said. Remembering a really violent ghost who threw and moved things around with intent to hurt people.
