[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Zulma san]

Lin opened her mouth, then closed it. She nodded, then bowed. "I apologize, I do not mean any disrespect Malachai-san. I mean...you are humanoid. You are not an animal." she tried to explain herself. Then she blinked. "I know of MacPere-san but I have never met him." she said calmly.

"Where is MacPere?" Crystal wondered aloud as she descended the stairs. "I haven't seen him in ages." She looked around the room and noticed a distinct lack of Chris. "Better question. Where's my husband?"

Nate was happily flipping burgers for Zippo and had even decided to start some fries.  

[Zulma san]

Lin turned her head towards the new comer.
"I do not know. And I am afraid, I do not know who your husband is." apologized the Asian woman.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"He and Gren are on vacation...something about a birthday? Have we met?" asked Mal, smiling to Crystal. "Hello!"

"I'm Crystal Wade-Roberts. Some people call me Prism. My husband's name is Chris. He's tall, brown hair, sometimes carries a newspaper or a harmonica. I heard the explosion from the kitchen and assumed he was here with Nate. When he didn't come up, I came looking for him."  

[Zulma san]

Lin stood up and bowed. "I am Lin, a pleasure meeting you." she answered without a smile.
She was not surprised that Chris would be married, especially to a beautiful woman such as Crystal. She wore her name well.
"Chris-san left earlier with Azana-san, Sosol-san and Zulma-san." she informed the woman.  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Ohhh...my name's Malachai." said the demon, offering a hand. "Chris came through...right now, he's on his way to the GMO HQ with Azana and Sosol...there's a big,bad issue going on there with Law and Orrin and Charlotte, and they're trying to investigate...but it's a really, really bad idea for them to, so I'd keep away, myself."

"He left? With Azana, Sosol and Zulma? And he didn't tell me?" Crystal maintained a cool outer facade but, inside, she was a bit miffed that her husband had run off on another adventure without her.

Nate stepped into the room carrying a large tray of assorted sandwiches and hamburgers. He stopped when he saw Crystal and turned back around and headed toward the kitchen.

"Nathaniel," she said sweetly, "where is Christopher?"

Nate dropped the tray as he started wildly chittering something that almost sounded like the 1812 Overture and gestured his wings exuberantly.

Lin looked at the bird speaking to Crystal. She knew better than to put herself in the way of a married woman looking for her husband. She sat back and strangely look at the table in silence.  

[Gren_Eckener]

Zippo peeked over teh top of Nate's goggles. "Hai reidii!"

"I just told you..."

Crystal took a seat at her usual table, picked up Chris's discarded newspaper and began to flip through the pages.

Nate quickly and quietly picked up the tray and its scattered contents and sat at a table on the opposite side of the room with Zippo, eating silently so as not to further irritate his human friend.

Crystal picked out a headline and began reading. She wasn't mad at Chris for going off to help. His desire to aid his friends was one of his more admirable qualities. What annoyed her was that he hadn't bothered to ask if she wanted to come. After all, she was a hero, too.

Lin looked at Chrystal, the woman looked down. She walked to the woman and bowed.
"Tyler had the same expression on his face when he was asked to stay." she said calmly. She was trying to help out but in truth she was probably not.

"Is it too much to ask for my husband to invite me along?" She held up her hand, showing her wedding band. "Before this was on my finger, we would have adventures together all the time. Now that we're married, I feel like he wants me to just hang around and be Suzie Homemaker." She took a deep breath. "Sorry, I didn't mean to unload on a perfect stranger. I'm just frustrated at him right now."

Nate offered up a hamburger to Zippo as he watched the women converse.

"If, if it helps to say...he really shouldn't have gone. None of them should." said Malachai, worried. "Can you call him and talk him out of it?"  

[Zulma san]

If Malachai was worried because they went, Lin did not have that concern. She looked at Crystal.
"Sometimes it is easier to speak to strangers than to friends." she said.
She allowed herself to the seat across from her. "He probably wants to protect you now." such a man was the perfect husband for the calm Lin but she understood that for a woman such a Crystal who she imagined closer in mental to Zulma's, it was probably hard.
