[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"He doesn't need to protect me. I'm a lot stronger than people give me credit for. And I can't talk him out of anything once his mind is made up. He's probably out there right now getting in over his head and didn't even think to call for backup."

Nate audibly gulped and then looked up at the ceiling when Crystal looked his way, whistling in what he hoped was a nonchalant manner.  

[Zulma san]

Lin's lips almost curled into a smile, many of the women at the inn were very strong. She was but a simple soul.
"He did not go alone." she tried to reassure her.

Nate frantically tried to signal Lin not to say anymore. Bad enough Crystal knew Chris had left without her. If she knew the rest of the team was there and she wasn't, she'd be on the warpath.

Malachai sighed. He'd explained it all neatly before...but then, she was stressed, and probably forgot. He looked to Lin, then to his teacup. The lady probably needed the drink as much as he did.  

[Zulma san]

Lin looked at the bird, not truly understanding what it wanted with her. She blinked.

She exchanged a small nod with Malachai.


((They already told Crystal that Az, Sosol and Zulma went with him...))

((Yes, but Crystal doesn't know that the rest of the Knights are meeting them, as well.))

Crystal looked at her ring. "I remember when he gave me this ring. He said there was no crystal that was as pretty as me and that was why he gave me a simple gold band instead."  

[Zulma san]

((Oh okay, well Lin does not know that either lol XD ))

Lin looked at the ring. "You married a good man. You are a lucky woman." she said very calmly.

"Thank you for saying. You're a nice person."

((That's it for me, tonight, gang. Early start tomorrow.))

((Good night. ^_^ Good luck for tomorrow. I'm not going to be long myself.))

Lin nodded without a word then let Crystal go back to her newspaper. She felt a strange pain in her heart as she stood up. She had always welcomed solitude but seeing the strong bounds between couples in the inn made her for the first time in her life wish for something else.

She walked back to Malachai.
"Anything else you wished to drink?" she offered quietly. She felt a little tired, rather drained.

"I dunno...what do humans drink when they're sad and worried and upset?"  

[Zulma san]

Lin looked at him, a little puzzled. Then she stood up without a word and half disappeared behind the bar. There was noise of bottles and glasses, then she came back holding a bottle of sake and not one but two small serving glasses.
"In my country, people drink sake." she explained as coolly as ever.
She poured a glass for the demon.
"I pour your glass." she handed him his glass, then the empty one and the bottle. "You pour mine and we both make sure that the other one's glass is never empty." she explained. If it had been Celine, she would have said that with a bright grin and laughter, but Lin was behind very polite and practical, as always.

"Ohhh...oh, that sounds like fun!" he smiled, taking the bottle and pouring her a very full dish. "How do you tell you've had enough?"  

[EntaBengali]

The door to the Inn opened slowly, the tall, tightly bundled form of Felix Bengali toting several large luggage cases made his way in, shutting the door gently. Unwinding the scarf from his face and pulling off two layers of gloves from his clawed hands, he wiped his fogged glasses and peered toward the bar. "Malachai... Are you drinking?"

Lin tilted her head. "When you have enough, you leave your glass full, so I will not fill it again." she said calmly.
A new comer arrived and addressed Malachai, so she silently nodded to the tall man.

Malachai sat up, sake cup halfway to his lips, and sipped before setting it down and bounding over to Felix, not replying, simply giving the man a hug, tail lashing gleefully and making inarticulate noises of delight.
