Mikila crawled out from under the couch she'd put herself under. She ran over and hugged Tyler. "Anasi!" She said happily. Then saw Jeff. "GIANT!" She said in excitement. Running over to him and attached to his leg. Looking up at him. "Hi Giant." She said with a big smile. She gave his leg a nuzzle before looking at all the newer people. "Hi." She said. Waving with one hand at the people she didn't know. She followed a wispy movement. Letting go and began to chase it. Pouncing it and giggled. "I win!" She said. Walking back over holding a strange looking ghostie. She carried it around as she walked over to Tyler. Holding it up even if he didn't see it. "I caught a strange looking one. See Anasi." She said with a proud smile.

Kenos had slipped out while everyone was busy interacting with each other. It had just been too many people for his liking. He came back with some fabric and a needle. He still needed to acquire some thread. Only...he had no more money currently. He walked to the room he'd eventually been talked into during the silent conversation he and Lin had held. He set it down and walked back into the living room. His hair flowing behind him as he looked around. Blinking as a kid ran in front of him then off to the side. Tilting his head as he studied the girls hands but he couldn't see anything there. Though he felt something was off he couldn't see anything.

He walked past the others and headed towards a seat. He would need nourishments soon. He had not had any in awhile. Yet he did not wish to ask. Partily it wasn't in his programming to ask. He was used to being told when he was allowed to acquire food. Even as he thought over the conversation with Lin and the mild one with Adam he began to think over and question some of the things he had known. It was a moment longer before he stood and headed to his room. The one Lin picked out for him. It wasn't that far from Lin's and some girl named Layla's room. Sitting on the floor without shutting the door.

Lilliana's voice and things she had said soon chimed in as well. He pulled out the locket Lilliana had given him. How many years had it been? He opened it and saw the picture of his friend. For a moment he had a slight smile then it was gone. A faint music played from the implanted music box type thing built into it. He blinked as he could tell it was dying. A slight frown on his face. A music box, especially one so tiny, was not in his area of expertise for fixing. He didn't want it to die. As it was the song Lilliana sang...just without any words. The music box played it over and over again as long as the locket was open.

His heart hurt for some reason. Just for a moment. Remembering that she had long since passed away. He hadn't aged overly much since she and he had traveled during the mission to protect her. He shook his head. The pain went away. She had been his friend. Like he hoped to one day have a friend in the woman who held wonderful conversations with him. The song was from China. Where Lilliana had been born.

Felix awoke with a start, Angora tail three times its normal diameter, a ferocious pain twinging behind his bad eye. On instinct, he lept from the bed and tore through his dresser drawers where he had previously unpacked his bags. Finally, his claws closed over the delicate looking talisman; the sun bleached skull of a tiny alligator. For a second a scene flashed in his head: laying flowers on the scorched earth in the Ukraine, the woman with fox feet and chocolate skin telling him they did not suffer, a sudden welling of anger, regret. "Perhaps they should have..." he murmured aloud in a sleep-roughened voice. Another stab behind his eye, the girl in red, how the dark woman had touched his skull and murmured foreign words...
He quickly strung the tiny amulet around his neck and felt a bit of relief, the sharp pain slowly dulling, soon to become nothing. Awake now, he glanced around his room, checking to see if Malachai had stayed.

Somehow, a small creature with the body of a dark grey fox, the tail of an alligator - maybe a crocodile? - and scales along its back and belly had perched itself on a plush chair in the main room of the Inn. Olive eyes watched the occuoants mill around, gaze intense but prescence wholly unnoticeable.

Malachai had indeed stayed, and was sitting upright on the bed, looking rattled by both Felix's sudden motion and the presence entering the Inn. "...She's here." he breathed, bolting into the front room and promptly bowing to the creature, tail well-curled close.

Adam waved to the beast, kneeling, smiling kindly to the wholly new sight. Whatever Malachai was fussing about, he at least could be social."Well, hello there...what's your name?"

Felix moved to follow, but paused a moment. He donned his monogramed silk robe (a gift, oddly enough, from Orion.) tying it securely closed. As a final thought, he took a letter from the top of his dresser and headed into the main room. Seeing both men kneeling, he merely offered a nod, placing the champagne colored envelope on the table behind Adam and Malachai, address side up, and went to the kitchen for coffee. The front of the letter, in neat, looping script, read 'Adam.'

The Fennec sized creatured raised both tiny forepaws, bipping the human and the demon each on the nose. She snorted and made a small, odd chirping sound, eyes darting to the window that overlooked the garden. She seemed angry, not with the males, but with whatever lay beyond the window.

Adam blinked, a bit perplexed at the bip, and tilted his head at the chittering.

"Milady, ah...you must mean the um, the bad things outside. Yes. Well, there's a big upheaval in the Order...Mr Orrin apparently made Mr Law mad, and he means to kill Orrin, and Lady Charlotte's not having any of it, and they've all gone out of reach for negotiations but I'm doubting they'll end nicely, and a bunch of humans went out to look at it and it's just gonna be ugly." rattled off Malachai as he sat up, wings drooped. "They wouldn't listen to reason, and there is none, and...well, that's how it is."

Adam sighed, nodding in agreement. "Yes...and there's no telling what will happen." He glanced back at the envelope, noting the colour and script of his name, and quietly took it to read when business was over.

She placed a paw over her muzzle and sighed, shaking her head. She chuttered and barked at Malachai, even more agitated. Strange names and stupid people, those who apparently did not know their place in the chain. Oh how she wished for a middleman. Where was Bill when you needed him?

There was delighted squeaky cackle from above, a tremendous white bat with overlarge ears and the tail of a dog was hanging with unnatural ease from the ceiling. Frosted silver eyes grinned at the congregation below, pink nose twitching in delight.

"He's back at work, m'am...though you could summon him." frowned Mal dolefully. "And these are beings of Chaos and Order...you know they don't listen to rules like that. They play on a different plane and never mind the consequences. Very selfish things."

Adam looked up, humming curiously at the bat. Was that the snarky one from ages ago? "Hello?"

she wrinkled her nose and growled. Why did it always seem that chaos erupts around Christmastide? She thumped her tail hard on the upholstery, a summoning circle appearing beside her chair.

The bat fluttered down, still wheezing in laughter, canine tail wagging. Landing on Adam's shoulder, he took the blonde's face between his wing claws and licked a rough stripe across the gardener's forehead.

Invoked, the circle glowed a moment before a massive, sloe-black demon appeared, horns curling above his head, a growl in his throat as papers fluttered in his wake, hand still gripping a pen hewn from a child's femur.

"...What?" he frowned, looking about. This wasn't his office.

Adam cringed, shivering slightly. That felt weird! "Uh...nice to meet you too?" he offered, licking its chest.

"...ngh..." Violet flinched. Not again...that crocodile thing, and the bat...they were so strange. They begged to be drawn, but she promised Jeff...

"Nothing girly...a ferocious animal," she nodded, the latter somewhat absently as she pulled out a pen, her movements more deliberate. She was always more careful with pen.

Kristen woke from a well-deserved rest. "...Abigail..."

Tyler had a few memories pop into his mind. Very bittersweet, considering it was flashbacks to that asylum raid so long ago. That was the last time he had seen Abigail or had spent any length of time around Felix. Too bad, too. He felt they could probably relate on some level.

"Fine-tooth comb mode, go! I'll only stop to get my burger fix!" Max crowed, pulling out a surprising pair of reading glasses. "Fine print's a pain without magnification..."

Mikila was trying to figure out why Tyler had that look on his face. Seeing she held a strange ghostie hostage she laid her head on his leg. Then looked around for Malachi. Spotting him and ran over to show him. "Mal! Mal! I caught a strange one." She said. Holding it up to show him. Knowing he'd see it even if Anasi couldn't. It had a skull looking plasma type center. Followed by white wispy coverings all around it. She held it up to show it to Mal.

Abigail snarled so loudly that it would have sent the old Dragon Emperor scurrying for cover. She would tolerate no questions of authority this time, particularly from a middle management demon. She roared and barked, gesturing with a paw toward the door. The Chaos and Antichaos enteties needed to be retrieved and delt with swiftly, as well as the unnatural disturbance outside. It was now Bill's job to fine the two warring enteties and the parties involved and bring them here so that things could be sorted. The occurence outside would be delt with afterward.

The bat blinked at the return lick. Such a brave, stupid beast! O,happy day! He quickly climbed atop Adam's head and nested in the blonde mop, tail wagging gleefully. A new steed! Or, perhaps lunch? No, no, steed was better, knew how that nice warm machine in the kitchen worked! He tapped Adam's forhead and gestured to the kitchen. Onward great man-steed! To the warm!

Jeff stared at the new creature. What the hell was THAT?! He did not hear immediately Violet, then turned back to her.
"Hmm? Oh good! Yes, something ferocious...but not weird like that 'thing'..." he whispered, a chin motion towards the fennec-like creature.

Lin had taken some rest and she trotted back down elegantly. She stopped however before reaching the main floor as she spotted a bat and a fox. The Inn was once again buzzing with strange life forms and she hesitated.

Bill shuddered a bit at the commands, standing upright and nodding. He had been confused, not questioning, but clearly the Horseman was in no mood for back-talk. "Yes, m'am." he uttered, stepping back and away, giving the elf a curious look. Had she no mind for her surroundings at all? She'd end up crushed under a hoof is she didn't pay attention.

Malachai hissed, waving a hand to shoo the girl away to a safer part of the room. "NOT RIGHT NOW. I'm in a meeting!"

Adam blinked, noting the gesture. Bowing lightly toward the fox, he went as directed, pausing only briefly in his walk to bring Max a burger before heading into the kitchen.
