Mikila scrunched her face up when Bill growled. "Oopsie. Sorry Mal. Sorry Mister." She whispered and then said. Bowing apologetically before going away.. Turning and ran off when he'd shooed her away. She hadn't meant to bother Mal when he was doing something important. She moved around in a different area and went to sit down quietly. Holding the ghostie who was hissing at her. She scrunched up her face. "You shouldn't say bad words. Dirty words get your mouth washed with soap. Bad ghostie. Bad."

The fox scrunched her eyes closed a moment, a soft skittering sound following Bill as he left. Baron Saturday would provide all the protection the demon needed. Her eyes flicked to the ghost the child was tormenting, but she stopped herself. She was not Styx, wandering souls were not her immediate concern. She turned her gaze back to Mal, pressing her cold wet nose to his, purring softly in reassurance.

Felix nodded over the rim of his "#1 BEEFCAKE" mug to Adam and the bat as they entered. "I see you've made a new friend."

The bat flapped his wings excitedly, fluttering over to the coffee machine and nosing some of the buttons curiously. How do?

Kenos stood up still listening to the music box that played from within the locket. He could almost hear the words she sang. Almost but not quite. He was walking down the steps yet quickly backtacked and ended up falling to sitting on the steps as Lin was still there on the stairwell. He looked at her and blinked a bit. The locket chain fell from his hand as it dropped down to hang on his hand. "Lin-san?" He said. Worry about how she had frozen on the steps. Elegantly but stopped there still. He stood up and backed up. His expression didn't betray the inner worry a teen glitching held. He picked up the locket and shut it. The music box stopped playing the asian song.

Lin heard noises behind her and turned. She blinked as she recognized Kenos. Then she bowed slowly. "Kenos-san." her eyes caught the locket as she realized it had been playing a familiar tune but she did not inquire about it. She was not the type to pry, further than that, she was not actually curious about.

Her silver gaze moved back to the main room. If she was understanding well the fox-like creature was quite powerful. In her culture, ketsune were usually tricksters. Her hand was still clenched on the ramp and strangely, she did not wish to enter the room. Too many new faces, too much things she did not understand.

Malachai warbled sadly, rubbing noes with the crocofox. "Mama Death...the humans went out after it too. Even after meeting Law. Will they be all right?" he murmured, looking into the beast's eyes.

Adam chuckled, shrugging a little. "I guess so...Do you know him?" Taking the moment alone, he opened the envelope to have a read.

The Drinkamajig clicked and whirred spitting out green mouse and telephone-flavoured ice cream

Kenos could tell Lin was uncomfortable. He looked at her. "Lin-san. There is a blossom festival in the town where I got fabric. They seem to be selling different teas. Would you want to go?" He said. It was more due to the amount of new faces and discomfort he saw written in her body language. He wasn't one to ask others on dates. That wasn't a concept he knew. "I was going to go for serene helps training of mind and senses. They showed teas that might interest Lin-san. New mixed brews." He said. Rummaging around in his pocket to produce the flyer. He wasn't meaning this as a date. "Lin-san seems uneasy. Perhaps going to a place that is more serene based would help?" He said puzzledly yet just wished her to feel at ease.

She licked Malachai's nose in soft reassurance. They would be fine. Humans are more resiliant than they look. She climbed from the chair and draped herself around the demon's warm shoulders.

"That is Pestilence, younger brother to Lady Death out in the livingroom." he said with a sip.

The letter read,
"Darling Adam,
I hope you are well, I know the cold gets to you sometimes. I am having great fun on Orion's Asian tour. I've recently been to Tibet! The mountains there are simply beautiful. Next time, perhaps on our Spring and Summer tours, you will have to come with me. All the new experiences are so thrilling. And my headaches aren't as bad when I'm busy like this.
Enclosed are some photos from my trip so far, as well as a few prints from Orion's collection... And a few for you personally.
I love you so much and can not wait to come home.
Forever yours,
Enta

With a shreik of pure joy, the bat began to devour the ungodly concotion. It was not warm but, oh, green mouse! Delight!

Violet's drawing took a vaguely feline form...she wasn't exactly sure if it was a panther or the start of a lion or maybe a tiger. Either way, it was a big cat. "...hm..."

Kristen came downstairs, still wiping a little of the sleep out of her eyes. "...I had a strange dream..." she muttered before opening her eyes. "Oh...I see it is not without reason..."

Tyler watched Mikila with her 'ghostie'. "...I need my other glasses," he said at last. "Gotta keep them with me if she's going to be leading spirits around like balloons."

"Getting attached to the half-pint?" Terry asked, already on a second tumbler. "I thought you weren't a kid kind of guy."

"And what about you, huh? How long have you and Stella been dating?" He asked slyly, deflecting the question. He just didn't want her getting into trouble that he'd have to solve. She was smart for her years, but she still hadn't learned good sense.

Sighing slightly, Malachai nuzzled Abigail's nose as well, allowing her over his shoulder. If anyone could reassure him, it was her. "Would you like anything while we wait?"

"Ohh..." he hummed, reading over the letter, expression softening as he took in Enta's words. "...Oh, sweetheart...I miss you so." he murmured, sniffing the letter before holding the paper to his heart.

Lin turned back to Kenos, silver eyes looking up. She remained silent when he spoke then took the flyer, reading it slowly. The young man was more talkative than when they first met. She nodded then bowed.
"This is kind of you Kenos-san and it would be an honor to accompany you tomorrow." she answered coolly as she gave him back the document. It was too late to get ready for an outing today.
As he mentioned that she looked uneasy, she held his gaze a moment, silent, almost cold. It was not possible to know what she was thinking at that moment. She did not say anything to the soldier, only bowed and turned her back to him, entering to main room at last.

The Asian woman walked across the room to Tyler and Terry. She bowed to them. "I apologize for earlier. Would you let me bring you something to dirnk?" she asked very politely. She had taken care of Malachai and Kenos and forgotten about the two other men, which was not something acceptable.

Jeff stared at his arm as Violet drew on it. "That looks cool already." said the adolescent with a crooked smile. He seemed quite excited about it.

She licked his cheek gently, then nuzzled his horn. Her tail wagged slightly at the offer. Did they have any delicious fried chicken? And perhaps some powdered sugar?

Felix smiled gently at Adam. "He should be home for Christmas."

Mal grinned a little, slinking to the kitchen. "You like meat...let's see what's in the fridge." he said, passing by Felix, brushing tails in passing. Indeed, there was chicken. And leftover turkey.

"Will he?"
smiled Adam, perking up. "Really really? Oh wow...I've gotta get everything cleaned up!"

Kenos just looked at her. Nodding his head. He was done talking. He'd said what needed to be said or what he was trying to explain. He really sucked at talking with others. He was tired and would probably go to sleep soon instead of going to stare at the stars contemplating. He didn't normally get tired but there had been so much going on. He felt mentally overloaded. Especially with trying to understand so many human concepts and theories. His brain felt about to explode. Or have a shutdown mode. "I am honored Lin-san." He said. Bowing as he took it back. Looking at her silently and almost flinched. He wanted to sleep outside. It was cooler there anyways. Plus the scents of nature reminded him of areas he was more comfortable with anyways...nature. Sleeping on the move. He needed to regather his brain before he went into mental shutdown. He had a headache. Talking. Understanding the things occuring. He couldn't handle all these human things. He wanted to do something he knew. Nature survival. Combat fighting. Studying various books. Undoing and redoing guns. He walked into the main room and out the front door. Climbing and then jumping lightly up onto the roof of the inn. Laying on his back and closed his eyes.

Kyou, long abandoned at this point, moves from the table back to the stone of the hearth. Relighting the calming smoke, taking a long draw and exhaling slowly, the observer watched the room and listened to Peru crackle. There is an uneasy feeling in the pit of the mushi-shi's stomach... the smoke does not seem to ebb it away. What a busy day.

Abigail yipped happily, poiting to the chicken. She whimpered to Mal, asking if he would heat it up for her.

Felix smiled at Mal as their tails brushed. It was good to be home, he just wish his younger brothers were here as well. He looked back to Adam. "When I met him at the airport, when he gave me that letter, he said to tell you that he couldn't wait to come back home and show you how his hair has grown. It's quite long now, past his shoulders."
