[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Layla flushed. "Oh. I'm sorry. I misunderstood." She said. Drinkamajig? That was an unusual name but it fit it. She looked at him. "That takes skill to make something like Drinkamajig." She said. She looked at him. She looked at him skeptically. "Robots. They are programmed to talk." She shuddered and hugged herself. Her smile fading. Those scary bunny cultists. There was robots everywhere. Amongst them too. She blinked as she focused back in on what he was saying as he spoke of more friends. "I suppose. I haven't tried yet. Been trying to recenter myself from the not so pleasant midway through wartime adventures with the bunny cult." She said. "I met Zulma, Azana, Sosol, and Tyler. Tyler sorta...he was tinkering." She said with a smile. "I want to make them. I haven't felt as shy since I began relaxing." She said honestly.

Looking at him. "It is weird for me. Microwaves are not programmed to talk. Robots are. Microwaves should't sound ready to attack if they could." She said. Making a face. "Though at least a talking microwave wouldn't set my tiger plushie on fire...or anything else. That was something else I had to learn some more control over. So I was doing that too. I made...progress." She really had. The last time she had a memory about the robots and things of bunny cult she had started to set her tiger plushie aflame.

Mal shrugged, sipping his coffee. He wasn't one to question those above his rank. "I know a robot, but he doesn't talk...he's really nice, though." "As for the cults, heck, that was...over a month ago. No need to fret any more until the next major holiday with the Easter Bunny, right?" he chuckled. "Besides, this is the Inn of Peace. What fights outside doesn't in here, and if they try, out they go! You can rest easy, no matter how noisy it gets. So, wait...you set stuff on fire?"

Layla looked at him curiously. Tilting her head. A robot that doesn't talk? That was curious. She scrunched her nose up. "I wanted to protect the animals of gaia. They told me I could do that. Then tried to make me betray my sister. I was happy when I was able to escape here. Amir told me about it. He was always popping out of shadows to make me smile. Then leave just as mysteriously." She smiled a bit. "No more bunnies for me unless its one that is out in nature and not trying to take over the holidays." She said with a smile. "Yes. I like it here. The people are all nice and the place...normally...is lively in good ways. Though not the other day. The tension was unnerving. So stayed in my room."

She looked at him. "Yeah. My sister and Amir were teaching me to control my energy levels. Ari had to help me safely release sometimes. Yet I would emotion trigger it. That is when my tiger plushie got set aflame...slightly." She sipped her drink then took out her hand. She set down the cup and focused her thoughts on her hand. This was what she'd been practicing with her making it not so emotion trigger activated. Letting the chaos of her emotions erupt her hand in flames. Opening her eyes then let out a sigh of relief that it hadn't gone chaotic. Then she patted out her hand as all her mind was thinking is out out out now. No burning the kitchen. The flames went out.

"I spent the time since the last one practicing to not make it hair triggered by my emotions. I took the few lessons I had. It is still not that well controlled but now it isn't hair trigger. And I can mostly refocus it to one place. Still got work to do...a lot." She said honestly.

"Heeey, that's all right. When I was younger, I had to practice my magic too!" smiled Malachai, wiggling his fingers, wee flames alight at his fingertips. "I know someone who's learning fire control too! Her name's Kristen, and she's really nice! Maybe you can practice together!"

Layla smiled as those words gave her encouragement. Giggling as she saw the teeny flames. She looked at him. "Oh? I want to meet her." She said. "That would be nice. Having someone to practice with." She said. Her excitement and delight obvious. "Thanks Malachai." She said. Picking up her juice and drinking it.

Malachai hummed, watching her leave. "Kristen's in the main room, ya now! She's blonde!" he called after before he turned back to the Horse-monsters.

Layla stopped by the door as she headed out. "Thanks Malachai. It was nice meeting you." She said warmly. Waving before she headed out into the main room. He said the blond but she'd not yet been able to strike up conversations with people she didn't know. She got to where she held conversations when talked to. Seemed now she could talk where others were. She'd never been good at conversation starting even with her sister Ari. She was shy and unsure what to say after hi. She walked further into the main area and looked aroun.

Although she did not smile, Lin's eyes seemed to clear up some. "Thank you for your understanding and I do not believe you were too impatient." she replied very politely to the man. She still was not 100% sure what his name was though but she did not dare ask him as he had not said anything when she gave him her name. Maybe they had met, maybe she had forgotten. She tried to remember.

Kenos still laid on the roof. He closed his eyes as he felt the wind blow of his head. He tried to center himself. Remembering how the song in the locket always helping him to relax. Even if he had never told her that. He started to sing out. The song was Asian but he didn't open the locket at the moment. He just sang out. (see youtube for how he sounds singing it and the words)

He then fell silent. Not saying anything else as he felt more at ease. He would stay up here for the night.

Bill entered some time later, toting a bored-looking Charlotte, her arms crossed and eyes shut. He let her down very gently, as he remained reverent, and looked about. "...Sires?"

Malachai sniffed the air. "They're here!"

Charlotte sighed through her nose.

Felix looked up, tail swishing a little. He immediately strode out into the main room, waving to both Bill and Charlotte.

Abigail immediately lept from Malachai's shoulders and and galloped into the main room, tail foofed as she morphed midstep into her more huminoid form, collecting the scuttling Saturday. "De prodigal childe returns."

Meanwhile, the highly caffinated Plague toppled out the kitchen and into the garden.

Charlotte nodded, perking up at the sight of Felix and waving, but knowing she had to hear the riot act read.

"Yes, indeed...I'm sure you've plenty to say on this."

Lin had a polite but short bow when Charlotte made her entrance in Bill's arms. Her blinking silver eyes betrayed her surprise but she did not say anything. If she recalled properly a group had left to help but, seeing that she was back, she assumed it all went well. End of story.

She trotted behind the bar in search for a glass of water.


"Hello everyone!!" Celine greeted everybody with a bright smile behind her thick glasses as she stepped inside the Inn. She was carrying a pile of books which looked too heavy for her.

Bill, ever helpful, stepped up to Celine and held out his hands. "Here."
