[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

Celine froze, staring at him a moment, an almost horrified expression on her face. Then she dropped most of the medicine books in his hands. "Thank you." she said still cautious then she leaned towards him on her toes as a cautious smile crept on her lips. "Wow you sure are tall! And are those horns? That's so cool! What are you? A demon?" she questioned him as she moved across the room, expecting him to follow her.

He blinked once at her stare, then following as she lead. "Yes, I am. Yes, those are horns. I am a demon, yes." he replied in a quiet rumble. "I am called Bill."  

[Zulma san]

"I am Celine. Nice to meet you." she said casting side glances at him. She knew that Malachai was a demon too but she had not had a chance to really chit-chat with him, so now she could satisfy her curiosity with Bill.
"Are you organs in the same place as with us humans? Is your body temperature similar? Your heart rate?" she kept questioning him as she started walking up the stairs. The books needed to be put into her room.
"Are you stronger than a normal human?"

"I suppose, with exception to some additional organs. Anatomy depends on the demon in question. the same applies with body temperature, though mine is higher than a human's, as is Malachai's. Heart rate likewise." he replied patiently, taking the stairs quite easily despite his hooves. "Yes, I am stronger than a human being."

Abigail hefted her staff, scowling from beneath her dredlocks, fox tail twitching. "And just what in all your lives posessed you to go an' git all mixed up wit' de likes of Law? A clash between two powers such as yours could have caused infinite damage to de entire realm. Perhaps even on de scale of what we were facing last year."

"Additional organs?? Which ones? I need to know." she was not fully decided on what 'major' she wanted to focus on during her medicine studies but spending a lot of time at the Inn, she was feeling more and more that she wanted to be able to heal anyone. Humans and inhumans, so her talk with Bill was very excited and she was forgetting his hooves, his pointy teeth and his scary looks.
"Can you run faster than humans with those? Higher by how much?" she asked as she opened the door to her bedroom. She pointed at the desk which was already filled with piles of books, actually the floor was covered too. "You can put them there." she said vaguely as she dropped the one book she was still carrying on the bed and removed her coat.

Charlotte folded her arms. "He was coming to kill Orrin, thinking that his evolution as a being of Balance was affront to the Order, rather than a natural life progression. I sealed our energies and played the game on his terms, by rules and negotiations, until Orrin had completed his transition safely." she explained, very calmly considering the circumstances. "Law conceded and left without struggle, and clearly decided that he didn't need to face you. The sole complications were the insistances of our human compatriots, who determined that breaking the seal was imperative without knowing the nature of the situation. I'm sorry, Abigail...I didn't mean to worry you."

She sighed heavily and lowered her staff, rubbing her forehead. "I am too old to be dealing wit' dis kind of ting. Dis is why I try not to deal wit' lawful creatures, dey are all reason but no t'ought." she heaved another heavy sigh, looking the sort of tired that a god should never feel. "Chaos energy, contained or not, sends waves t'rough all of creation. I have heard it t'rough everyting. You can not help what you are, childe, but I must caution you about rallying all dat energy."

Charlotte scowled. "I know that. Don't you think I know where the laylines are, and haven't rearranged them regularly? I'm not ten, for crying out loud...I barely lifted a finger, and kept my summons unweighty, so that there was no exchange needed. Nobody died from this, and I made sure of that."  

[Azana Brown]

Terry blinked as Lin walked away, taking a moment to go over it all in his head. He then slapped the same head with his hand, jumping up and heading to the bar.

"Sorry, I'm clearly an idiot tonight. Either that or too much rum already. I'm Terry." He smiled sheepishly. "Can I have one of those, too...?" He pointed to the water, not wanting to make the whole scene about introductions.

Tyler glanced to the door, blinking at Charlotte's arrival. Where was Orrin? And the others? Certainly everything was well...so they'd be back soon, with any hope. After all, Zulma promised a report.

The blonde in question was actually sitting hear the fireplace, fire scrying for practice. Her hair ended in orange tips, and despite the weather, she dressed like it was fall.

Her first instinct was to snarl and snap and put the child in her place, but she bit it back, swallowing her annoyance. She knew better than to argue with chaos. "Fine. Dat is all I have to say on de matter. You're reasonable for your kind, Char-lot. Maybe I am still just paranoid..." she slumped into the nearest seat, Saturday and the staff sliding to the ground.

Charlotte sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I'm sorry...I'm just grouchy because of everything, I'm not being really all that nice to you, and that's not really fair...I just keep getting yelled at today for doing the right thing, doing the only things I can, and I know you've got higher duties than my love life, but this is just shaping up to be a really crappy day...Still, it coulda been as bad as last year, but even with Kaeru there, it wasn't, and I'm just gonna focus on the positives, and make you a hot cocoa or something because I'm being a real s**t tonight, okay?"

Malachai gulped. Powerful people, even when merely quibbling, were unsettling. He tucked himself under Felix's arm.

He set her boxes as directed, giving Celine a quizzical look. "Why do you need to know?"

Lin turned towards Terry and bowed, she was relieved although she did not show it.
"Of course Terry-san." she answered and immediately prepared a glass of water for the man with elegant gestures. "Ice or lemon?" she offered.

Upstairs Celine turned to Bill with surprised eyes.
"Because I am a nurse and one day I'll be a doctor!" she stated as if it was obvious.
She approached him, bowing, her hand reaching down hoping to touch one of his hooves. "And I hope I will be able to heal everybody, not just humans." she added with a certain fascination for his non-human parts.

In an instant she was up out of the seat again, tail fluffed, fangs at full bore, pupils so wide they nearly blackened her eyes. "He was dere?!" she looked absolutely panick stricken. "No. No dis is what I had meant! He felt it too, he had to. Why else whould he be dere?" she paced, tail lashing, staff flying to her grip, "He can't have collected energy. You said you had put up seals. But how did he know?!" she snarled, snapped her jaws, features growing more distorted with every unnecessary breath.

Charloote frowned, startled. "Standing outside, looking bemused...but, but I didn't let out a drop until that shield was up! I-I'd moved everything just so to adjust; Law wouldn't have entered if it was absorbable..!"

Bill's tail shifted from one side to the other as he shyly shifted a hoof back. "...You will need a book...there are many breeds of demon, and we all vary..."
