Charlotte hummed, looking to the floor, and sighed. "Abby was cross about the chaos, so I was trying to keep it on the DL, but yeah, sure...and don't be silly, Zulma, he's not gonna fix the door he didn't break."
Snapping her fingers, the floor mended slowly, the wrath of a horseman not easily erased. She glanced up to Orrin, then, and smiled. "I'm so glad that this won't hurt you...finally, I don't have to stay my hand, walk on eggshells..."

"Only a bit," Terry grinned. "It's more the way you two act around each other. You get playful, and he actually relaxes. You both change how you move." He spoke quietly, not wanting to start the infamous rumor mill...after all, nothing was official. He would have hated having himself and Stella outed before its proper time.
"I don't know him as well as the others, but the body doesn't lie."
"I can't imagine they'd make for a good path," Orrin chuckled, the cracked door seeming to grow back together. "That would get drafty in a couple weeks...I'm surprised Law would do such a thing."
"He didn't," Azana chimed in, a little worried about the actual culprit. He was still at Delphi. Was it a trip down memory lane, or was something bothering him? "One of us did, trying to defend this place."
Orrin smirked. One of us, eh? "That's true, dear Charlotte. It shouldn't be such a drastic shift between us. In fact, our personalities have bled into each other a bit. It's...almost refreshing, I'd say."
Tyler was about to invite her in, but Jeff's further invitation caught him a little by surprise and set an entirely new train of thought into motion. "You like to watch and learn, yes...? While I work with your maps, I want you to learn a thing or two from Jeff. Aside from being loyal and completely lovestruck, he's good with a sword. Might serve you well...the world's a dangerous place."

Orrin grinned, red eyes shifting momentarily in his gaze. "I'd shift more, but after last time, I might cause flashbacks..." Giving it a little effort, one hand darkened and sharpened to Nirro's familiar threatening grasp. "But as I said...easier. Maybe next time we're out and about. Maybe a blend of the two...I wonder to what degree we can meld appearances."
"Close enough, yes...I hope you'll show me what you learn." Tyler nodded, grinning down at Mikila despite himself. There was a day, long ago, where this wouldn't seem right. Sending a girl her age off to play with swords...now, it just seemed necessary. The world wasn't as sweet and innocent as people wanted to believe. Innocents, locked away for all the wrong reasons. Wealthy and successful sociopathic villains, those who betray their closest friends while smiling in their faces.
She'll learn, he thought, seeing them off before retreating into his room again. And while it's fun right now...she'll see. Maybe she'll even thank me, someday. But for now, his eyes fell on JIM, his rabbot parts, and that delightful idea that came to him whilst running down other bots in their comrades' skeletons.
Sosol threw the hood back on the Ghost Cloak, appearing in plain sight in the middle of the room. He let out a sigh, his hidden eyes weary with the weight of memories and an amount of knowledge he wasn't accustomed to. "After so long...I forgot what it felt like to see like I used to."
"Haven't forgotten how, I hope," Azana quipped, trying to help lighten his mood. "It doesn't look like it was pleasant, though. What's up?"
"I'm sure this sounds crazy, but I almost prefer the surprises, the comparative blindness I live in now." He let out a little laugh, bittersweet and amused as he continued on to his familiar bar. "There's a lot ahead of all of us...and I've Seen it. It'll fade with time, like any dream, but right now...it's just so heavy."

Zulma scratched her head. Visibly she was a little off about the whole door and Law and things. Probably too tired from the whole adventure. One more reason to give Tyler her report and then get some rest...maybe.
Terry's answer had her tilt her head then blush. Hearing the man say that Tyler has well behaved a little differently around her was reassuring to a certain extent. They had not really spoken much since the swamps event and although they had been very close at the time, nothing had really happened since.
"Well...if you say so..." then with a soft pat on his back, she had disappeared. On her way up, she met Jeff with Milika. The teen was holding the child's hand. Truth was, Jeff had become VERY read when Tyler said he was 'lovestruck'. Yet under the Shrimp's gaze, he was unable to say anything. "Swords, yes...like big daggers..." he grunted to the kid, giving a dark look to Tyler. He had pulled Milika off Tyler's hands because it thought that the engineer's room was no place for a kid and that Tyler had better to do in order to help protect the Inn than babysit. He did not act out of kindness and now, he almost regretted his action.
Zulma smiled at Jeff and Milika, petting the child's hair. "Have fun." she said happily. Jeff sighed.
While Jeff and the little one walked downstairs, Zulma arrived upstairs. The innkeeper then knocked at Tyler's room. As she waited for him to open, she could not help but try to rearrange her hair as strands were falling in front of her eyes.
Downstairs, Jeff looked down at the kid. "Soooo what am I going to do with you now?" in his 'anger' towards Tyler, he had forgotten the book he had been going up to pick.
Lin nodded to Kenos, leaving him with his plate and sandwich. Then she walked back to the main room. Sosol was back but he was busy so when Jacoba ordered a rum, she took out a glass and very politely served him. "A glass of rum Pirate-san." she bowed to him. Then seeing that Sosol was walking towards the bar, she bowed at the bartender. "Please Sosol-san, I am moving out of your way." her cool gaze was very respectful.

The hand shrunk back, soft and pale as Orrin tended to be, no matter his paradigm. He stood up, took a few steps, and spun back to smile at Charlotte. "By Jove, I think I've got it!" He did a short dance but had to brace himself at one point on the back of a chair. "Mostly. Close enough."
Victoria had grown hungry and ventured into the kitchen, stopping in surprise at who was in there. "...Y-you..." The pieces began to fit into place. Someone had gotten her message in a bottle, so to speak. All because of this freckled busker, she was on the run and one step closer to getting her life back.
In a rather uncharacteristic move for the reserved metallurgist, she walked forward and embraced Honey. "Thank you. From the bottom of my heart."
Sosol bowed in return, taking a moment to return upright. "Miss Lin, there's room for more than one in this station," he answered with a half-hearted smile. "But thank you...I could use a distraction."
Tyler had just finally sat down and filled his lap with parts when the door once again knocked. "For the love of--" He grumbled, setting aside the parts and marching toward the door. "I thought I--"
He opened the door, ready to lecture, but froze in his tracks. There was Zulma, trying to fix her hair for the visit. "...back already? That was shorter than I anticipated."
