[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Zulma san]

Lin blinked then actually accepted the offer with the hint of a smile.
"Then Sosol-san, if I may, would you mind teaching me one or two cocktails please?" asked the tea-master.


Zulma froze as well, bringing back her hand quickly to her side as if she was caught doing something she should not.
"Yes Sir, I am here for my report!" she teased with a hint of pink in her cheeks. She looked happy to see him truly, but at the same time she looked quite tired. "May I come in?' she asked with a smile.

Sosol nodded, more enthusiastic than before. "Certainly," he replied, racking his brain for a moment. Something simple, but more than a simple "spirit plus mixer"...

"Let's start off with a classic martini. It's classy, and versatile." He began to pull out what was needed, two glasses included. "We'll make them together. You'll have mine, and I'll drink yours."

Tyler paused for a moment before nodding. "Security Protocol Zero. Voiceprint Authorization, Phantom Phoenix." There was a soft series of whirs, clicks, and the faint electric hum that came with powering down.

"Come on in," he invited, stepping out of the way. The room was cluttered with various gizmos and parts in stages of development and usage. "Excuse the mess...as I said, shorter than anticipated."

Lin moved next to the bartender. She nodded. Yet her expression froze a second when he spoke about drinking. She never...actually only rarely drank alcohol, yet she had to admit that if she wanted to learn, this was the best way.
"I will not disappoint you Sosol-sensei." she said to the man, taking the glass in front of her to follow his instructions.


Zulma tilted her head again. His room's protection seemed higher than the GMO's itself!
She had a tiny smirk. "I see you are quite cautious..."
She stepped in, and could not help but look around. "Impressive." she said honestly.
She did not sit, instead, she moved to him and wrap her arms around him in a hug. "It's nice to see you." she sighed softly.

Sosol detected that faint twinge of discomfort. "You don't have to down the whole thing," he reassured her. "I'm sure we can find a taker for the rest. I just want you to know how it's supposed to taste."

He described the cocktail step by step, showing the measurements of each component. "...mixing it depends on the person. We're going to stir it, for ease...but you can put it in a shaker, too."

"Not without reason," Tyler muttered in retort. He watched as she admired his little corner of the Inn, then gave a long-overdue and missed hug. "It's good to see you, too...you look exhausted, though. Rough fight?" He let go, gesturing over to his choices of furniture. His bed, partially made, a desk chair with cushion, and a few floor cushions (obvious additions by Max).

"We don't have to stand to talk."

Lin was reassured and she nodded. "Thank you for your understanding and your guidance Sosol-sensei."
She followed very attentively. Dosing was not an issue but when it came to stirring her movement were very delicate and gentle.


Zulma had a little nod, she actually did not want to leave his arms, they felt good, too good.
She let herself drop on the closest thing which was the bed.
"Fight...not really...I just..." she had a little chuckle. "I think I overdid it a little. Charlotte's barrier was stronger than I anticipated..." she looked at the floor in front of her. "I went it by myself..." she had a chuckle, mixture of embarrassment and some pride too.

"Now, strain it into the glass carefully," Sosol continued, filling it most of the way. "Leave a gap...a normal martini is typically garnished with an olive, and you don't want to spill."

"Charlotte's barrier...?" Tyler blinked in disbelief, dodging a circuit board as he joined her nearby. "By yourself? That's ridiculous...even without thorough research, I know she's capable of quite a lot. And you broke through her barrier by yourself. That was a stupid move. An incredible, stupid move."

He looked to her...that was meant to be a semi-compliment. He by no means condoned what she had done, but he was still very impressed. Who knew she had that in her? Well, aside from him.

"I wish my time had been that interesting...I just have a little girl following me around now."

Lin did so, very cautiously. "An olive?" she blinked with disbelief.


Zulma sighed. "I did not really think that it was her barrier to be honest...and I did not really break through, I just opened a breach, a short one. I paid for it." she admitted patted her arm. "And yes it was a stupid move. I used ...powers I should not have touched." She had not thought about it at the time but now she wondered what would be the consequences of her move. There were things which were sealed in her, which should remain so.

A smile crept upon her face. "A little girl?" she chuckled. "Well, you are such a sweetheart, I am not surprised..." she winked at him.  

[Astra_Senpai]

She doesn't tense when wrapped in a hug. Her eyes widen and the notes of Sunshine fizzle for a moment- why is it always so shocking when physical contact is made these days? Honey studies the woman for a long moment, smiling brightly "Y' very welcome, Dove."

Honey doesn't pull away, giving a brief, tight, hug in response. "Y' settlin' in alright?"

"I hope I don't have to...that polka-dotted magician is reviewing my contract, trying to find a loophole," Victoria answered her, smiling back. Enthusiasm was infectious, after all. She hummed in thought for a moment before nodding to herself.

"Do you still have one of my coins...? I'd like to make something for you, as gratitude."

"Yes...the cocktail is very dry; a fruit just wouldn't do," Sosol explained, impaling one of the green ones with a toothpick and setting the whole thing in the glass. "You need something a bit salty to work with it. I can teach you a sweet one next, if you want."

"I doubt you're the first or the last to do so," Tyler shrugged. "I'm just glad you got through it without any major damage." He blinked, however, at Zulma's statement. A puzzled expression crept along his face as he mulled it over. A sweetheart? After everything, that's how she saw him?

"...well, I was," he said at last, chuckling a little and shaking his head at the idea. "I don't exactly see myself in such a manner."

"Thank goodness you've got it, doll. I dunno if I could handle the irony, a being of Balance being clumsy on his feet!" cackled the curlytop, smacking the counter jovially. "It'd be too priceless~!"

Bill sighed through his nose, shaking his head. "It has been a difficult day, as I'm certain you've noticed...there have been many tribulations, enough to tear me from my work despite my wishes. Have you been well?"  

[Astra_Senpai]

She tilts her head...polka dotted magician? "Tha's good. Th people 'roud 'ere are good with thin's like tha'." Honey considers a moment, "I do actually. Wait 'ere a tick n I'll be right back." Honey peels out of the kitchen and up the stairs, down the hall and into her room. This may take a moment.. she's not sure which pile she's got it in.

Tamriel gives a slow, casual shrug before settling by Bill and curling her tail around her hips. She continues to cradle the bat with near motherly affection, she isn't entirely sure why she likes it so much. "I haven't noticed anything aside a few subtle scent changes and a force spring in mid-winter." Her tall ears flick slightly back, "As it is winter, I hibernate as Huldra are rarely needed for an event in winter." Nor do we wish to be seen with our season coat and with extra weight on our hips.

"That is my hope, yes. I don't know them as well as you," Victoria reminded her, waving to her as she left to find that coin. Until she returned, Victoria would seek out something light. Maybe some soup?

Charlotte had a point...Orrin took a breath, reminding himself exactly who he was now. Balance, not Order. His paradigm had shifted, but he was still working under his previous assumptions. It began to settle, seem more natural...

"Thank you, love, for that delightful reminder. I have it fully now...as long as I keep to it."

Violet glanced up from her work. Jeff was taking quite a bit of time...had he gotten distracted? She was certain he'd come back...he always did, sooner or later.

"No problem. You can change as much as you want, but you'll still be you...just don't go trying to part my hair down the middle." she smiled, winking. "That's a Gordian Knot that doesn't need tackled. Now, can you dance? That's important to know!"

Shifting his tail to give her plenty of comfort space, Bill hummed. "You did not notice the law and chaos beasts having a falling out? Lady Death? Or, ah...Lord Plague in your lap?"

Orrin pulled a fedora out of his pocket, putting it on and reaching for her hand. "One way to find out...cue up some music."

Azana watched from the bar, polishing off Sosol's martini after Lin's sip. She didn't seem a liquor person...and honestly, Az really didn't have the taste for martinis. But her husband made it...so it was at least pretty good.

Violet already had the sketchbook ready. The two of them dancing in the middle of all this? It had to be drawn.

Smirking, she tipped her top hat, inclinging her head a moment before tossing it off, costume changed considerably.



"Hope you have a taste for swinghouse, doll." she grinned, snapping her fingers, a jukebox springing to life, bouncing in the style of a rubber-hose cartoon to the beginnings of the beat, offering a hand.
