She tilts her head slightly, she smiles down at the bat, her voice a purr of affectionate admiration, "I knew there was something different about you." Looking up to Bill, the affectionate tone doesn't fall short, "I'm afraid not. I can smell their essences but none have been able to attend any event thrown by my caretakers." Her gaze flicks to the jukebox, ears leaning back slightly, "Law, order, and chaos tend to be able to resolve their own issues. Were I necessary, my attention would have been acquired. My business lies with nature. Such as with the creature outside upsetting the season. That was what woke me in the first place."

She chirps, holding up not one but two of the coins from before. She takes the time to adjust the pile of shine accordingly before leaving her room, making sure her door is locked before heading back down the stairs. She giggles at the sight of flapper wear, shaking her shaggy blonde head before heading back to the kitchen. "'Ere y' are, Dove." Honey holds the coins out with a bright smile, like a kid with a prize.

Lin nodded. "I understand Sosol-sensei."
She finished her preparation and put the olive properly. Then she pushed it in front of the bartender.
She took a sip from Sosol's glass. She analyzed the sip, the same way she did for tea and actually the salty nature of the drink, did not bother her although she did not care much for the alcohol.
"I can see why people would enjoy this drink." she said to both Sosol and his wife.
"How did my taste?" she asked politely.

Upstairs Zulma's lips crept into a wider smirk. Her hand moved to pat his. "Well I am sure that little girl thinks so...as for me..." Her eyes moved away from him and down at her lap. "Tyler..." she felt awkward. She had a small sigh.
"I know we've not seen each other for a while...so... euh... hmm..."
She turned back to him and leaned, her lips brushed his. "I have missed you." she whispered, pulling back from him.
She had barely given any news, so she guessed that she had no right to do such a thing, yet she could not help it.

Jeff walked back downstairs, holding Milika's hand. He had a small wave at Violet and moved to her.
"I have found a Shrimp." he said as if he did not really know what to do with the kid while he volunteered to take care of her.

"It happens to be a personal favorite of mine..." Orrin beamed, leading her to an empty patch of floor and starting with the Charleston.

"Thank you," she nodded, offering a plate of snacks in reply. They weren't pop tarts, but she had assembled some fruit, cheese, and crackers. These were set aside in favor of the two coins, which now hovered in midair between her palms.

"...they were loved...they'll be beautiful." She closed her hands around them. "I will shape them after eating."

Violet flipped a couple pages back, displaying a picture of Mikila clinging to Tyler. "I found her first," she giggled.

Sosol took a sip simultaneously, taking a moment. "It's good, Lin-san. Only a tad heavy on the vermouth...but that does temper the taste a bit. It's almost like you made it a little closer to your personal taste."

"Yes...?" He asked, looking to Zulma as she fumbled over her words. "Sooo?" Her motion made him flinch slightly, eyes wide. "I, erm, missed you, too...for a second, I thought you had terrible news or something." He chuckled, shaking his head. Sometimes, paranoia had a way of making him look a fool, it seemed. He needed to smooth over the situation.

"And that's all I get, after all this...?" He smirked, slightly forced but still genuine.

Jeff had a wide grin. "So it seems!" he leaned in to look at it closer. "Really looks like them both...he looks thrilled!" chuckled the teen.

Lin tilted slightly her head then the hint of a smile crossed her lips. "It seems so Sosol-sensei. Although I had never tasted ver-mouth before." she admitted, her tongue tripping slightly on the word.
She tasted the alcohol again. "So if someone asked for a stronger one, which ingredient should I increase?" she asked.

Zulma's heart beat harder and faster in her chest. She let out a relieved chuckle, her cheeks were fully flushed at his comment. "Well...I don't know...maybe this could have been 'bad' news..." she winked at him, half sheepishly, half jokingly.

She wrinkled her nose slightly and smirked as well. "I have not seen you show me much either..." she teased, yet, her lips moved again towards his. This time, she kissed him more strongly and her hand caressing his, her other sliding in his neck. It felt good to be back in his arms.

In the kitchen, Celine arrived by the back door and found Kenos and his sandwich.
"Yo soldier boy!" she teased him happily. She did not know his name but she knew he was a soldier.
She peeked over his shoulder...euh...over his arm to look at his plate.
"What do you have here?" she asked.

Violet looked to Mikila, smiling as she closed the book. "So, what were you two going to do...? She likes to watch people work, but I don't think drawing would entertain her."

"I hope they wouldn't...there's not much you could do to make this stronger except to use a higher proof," Sosol muttered in surprise. What an odd question, though for other drinks, it seemed perfectly reasonable. "Some cocktails have mixers in them, so it would just be a matter of increasing the alcohol ratio to the rest...this one doesn't have that as much." He searched through some of his collection, pulling out a bottle. "The proof is on the label, see? It tells you how strong a particular liquor is. Most average around 80 proof, though some edge higher."

He stopped, hummed in thought, and gave a nod. "Let's learn something a little sweeter, something that you could easily make stronger if requested. Maybe even something you'd enjoy."

"Well, you didn't give me much of a chance," he answered shortly before she kissed him. He responded in kind, one arm looping around her waist and drawing them closer. In the back of his mind, he couldn't help but notice the odd parallel...same actions, same sensations, but now she was on his terms, in his domain. Neither of them cared, likely, and the chances of inadvertent time travel were pretty much none.

After a long moment, he reluctantly pulled back slightly. "That seems a little more like you," he murmured, one hand brushing her cheek lightly before guiding back into another kiss. It had been a long while...too long, in his opinion. Though, the presence of the Knights earlier haunted on the periphery of his thoughts. He wasn't exactly sure where he stood with Stacy, or with Zulma, for that matter. Sure, they had a mutual attraction, and they worked well together, but he also recognized Zulma's love of freedom, her wanderlust, and the pain of her previous relationship. Not to mention she already had kids. It was hard to imagine; the fact that they were panthers, even more so.

Ugh, just shut up and take it for what it is, he inwardly kicked himself. You know this is one thing that defies the intellect.

Honey takes a few grapes and smiles, "Thanks, Dove." She returns to her hunt for sugar, "Are you gonna' stay about a while?" Sugar is what every recently recovered near heart attack survivor needs. Sugar. She finds cookie dough and descides that it's good enough. She totes it to the drinkamajig, "Would you like somefin to drink?"

Happy New Year!

Charlotte danced with fairly wild abandon, the Charleston somewhere in her steps, but her stamps and swivels a mark of utter defiance. It'd been a trying day, and she was thin on patience, to the point that even a single dance's routine was sour to the mind. The song she'd chosen had little to do with her sweetheart, so much as her contention for his former boss, lacking the spurned romance but with every touch of homicide.

He sighed deeply, wondering where to begin in explanation. "Well...many others sought to intervene, including the Horsefolk...I was summoned for a hearing between the sets, and that done, here I am...is the season all right?"

"Considering that both my place of residence and place of employment are currently under the ownership of John Doe, I have little place else to go," Victoria replied bitterly...how she despised fine print! Never again. "And yes, a drink would be lovely...something simple, please. I am still trying to wean myself off his rich diet..."

Orrin was doing well for himself, but he worried a little for Charlotte. The day had clearly worn her thin, and she was showing it in her nearly frenzied dancing. She needed a break, a chance to let all that loose. Or maybe just a nap...those did wonders for him. Well, the old him; he had no idea how much sleep he needed now.

(OOC: I am staying at times a bit. Her tablet is a pain in the butt but she crashed so I will use her chromebook thing...are you sure this is a laptop @_@)

Amir was tired yet glad to have saved Jolly. Far from easy. What started as simple quest for a fiddle stick to exchange for a magic pen to write across dimensions...led to many other things. Dimensional travel. Shadow jumping to a level he never had before. A massive headache. Attempted...well it looked like a harpy but it was no harpy he had ever seen...rape molest type thing. Failed...thankfully...soul sucker that was. Still now he could head back. He wondered if he missed something with his healings. He felt drained even after resting. No matter. He'd worry about it if someone who knew things outside his realm. His injuries were healed and fine. He shadow jumped and walked into the inn out of shadows. "Hello milords...and miladies..." He said. He was tired but smiled still. Going and taking a seat at the bar. "Hello Lady Lin...might I ask for some elven wine?"

Makina giggled. "Without squishing me Giant. That takes skill for a giant not to squish a shrimp." She said proudly. Still holding his hand. So many people here now. Were they all happy again. She looked at Violet. "Hi Violet. You draw a lot. I saw you drawing the girl who burned the plushie. You finish it?" She asked curiously. She looked up at Jeff then to Violet. "Anasi told me to watch and learn from Giant. I wishes to learn from Giant." She said with innocent happiness. To her it was the greatest sounding thing in the world.

Tamriel has taken to petting the bat as she listens to him, she's rather fond of this particular horsemen. "I am certainly happy you have the time to visit between labors. I have... missed your presence."

She tilts her head to the other side, "The season? Aside from the disturbance in the garden, all is well. I feel there will be a heavy frost coming and a very big snow storm." Her lips pucker a moment, ears flicking back, "I still have a few months of hibernation left as there is no fire for me to stoke or maintain."

Honey hums, "Well y'welcome to come and chat wif me any lime, Dove. I'm takin' the low road at the present." She presses a few buttons, the drinkamajig rewarding her with simple black tea with a touch of creme to it and a outstandingly sweet smelling tea that may as well be more sugar than liquid. "So the chap who 'ad you was a toff then? Y'know, I never understood jus' why they always seem t'fink tha' y' be grateful for the mess they eat. It's like they never 'ad a proper toad inna' 'old or sumfin'." Honey would carefully get the door for Victoria.

Kenos nibbled at the sandwich. It wasn't that it wasn't good. It was that he had never had it. Part of a young him screamed it was going to be swiped from him because it was not fully balanced nutritionally. He blinked a bit as he lifted his gaze. "Your raggedy friend looking for you." He stated. Nibbling on the sandwich again. "Strange texture. Flavor mixes are odd. Not bad but does not resemble any rations I know of." he muttered. He set the sandwich down. Tuning her out like he had often done Lilliana. Listening....he could tell the woman still spoke. "Sandwich." He said without need for emotion. Barely a mutter. And right around then....

Jacoda had been watching for doll. He had made her a promise. There she be after all. He had wondered why she hadn't screamed or squealed. He snuck out of the shadows behind Celine and reached out towards her. Albeit...he was a pirate. They were known for women. The way he done it was meant to playfully scare her. He had not expected the uh...whatever the hell that thing was...to react. As he'd reached out the kid had spun between then and crackingly caught his wrist in a vice grip between his palms. His gun out and pressed to a guy's head who didn't make any reaction.
"Aye there doll...I agree with the need to protect beauty she mate but if you don't mind calling off ye attack...whatever the hell this kid is...I brought ye some treasure as me promised."
He didn't waver his gun but he wasn't going to unarm himself despite a moment later he...no longer had his gun. He laughed and pulled back.
"Aye serves a pirate right if he don't remember this inn chocked full of fighters who give the queen's navy a run for their money."

Kenos had lashed out with his hands and face palm crushed against pressure points. Gone was the curious, behind iced eyes, youth...input the protect mode. He had observed enough to see that Celine was a medic. He didn't react or flinch per training to a gun's cold muzzle to his head. "Lady Celine I await your orders." He said with military formality after disarming the pirate who was too busy admiring the woman."

Jeff looked down at the little one then at Violet. He seemed a little lost. "Well Tyler seemed to think it was a good idea for her to watch me train with my sword..." the adolescent was puzzled about it.
"And I won't squish you Shrimp." he added with a grin.
"Maybe we could...play a game?" he asked, looking at Violet hopefully.

Lin listened to Sosol. She nodded. It made sense. She had often heard people asking for a drink and 'making it strong' so she wanted to know, although it did not seem to apply to this cocktail.
She leaned slightly to look at the label. She was starting to understand how it worked.
There was the shadow of a smile on her lips. "Sosol-sensei, this cocktail was actually pretty tasty." she admitted. She was not a sweet tooth person. "I am looking forward to learning something new." she added.

Amir stepped into the Inn and asked for some wine. She bowed to the man. He looked tired. "Right away Amir-san." she turned to find the wine and served a glass. "Here. If I may, you seem very tired, would you want anything else?" she asked politely.

Celine was grinning at Kenos who seemed totally blase and bored by her presence.
"Am I botheri-?" her question was swallowed in a yelp as Kenos's gun appeared on Jacoda's head and his own gun was removed.
"Wow wow wow there...hey...gentle...okay? We are all friends here." she said cautiously. "If Zulma saw both of you right now, she'd kick your a** out of here. Kenos please give him back his gun and both of you put your weapons away." she said.

Yet she was quite amused at how Kenos addressed her. "LADY Celine orders you to...smile!" she said with a bright grin, all eyes on Kenos at the moment. Jacoda was fun to spar with but it seems that teasing Kenos could be quiiiite entertaining!!

---

The heat from her cheeks was drifting down her spine, diffusing in her entire body. His gestures were tender and warm. She had a soft chuckle against his month as he teased her. Her palm pressed the back of his hand. She smiled. She felt silly for having been so worried, so fidgety.

As he pulled her into a more passionate kiss, she had a long shiver. They never really finished what they started at the swamps. And now that desire was slowly turning into a burning need. Her lips opened against his. The innkeeper's mind was thousands miles away from her offsprings or Baldur.

Kenos hadn't a gun. That was just how fast he had taken the gun. He blinked a bit. Looking at her. "He threatened you. He came at me first because I stood in his way. I merely was disarming him and keeping him from irrational and uncalled for harm to myself or others. I do not understand why Zulma would reprimand myself for protection that was leading into no further acts of aggression once the threat to myself and Lady Celine was removed." He said with soldierly monotone seriousness.

He did not understand where he was wrong for protecting the woman from an aggresive man. He sighed a bit. He turned the safety on so he couldn't be shot and put the gun back in the uncooth pirates hands. He moved to the sandwich and tore off the corner which had touched the floor. Taking up sitting as the woman had essentially told him to stand down. "I have no weapon and a gun is no weapon in my eyes. Only the blade." He said without any emotion.

He looked at her and had a glitching. His right eyebrow twitched. "This is not an order I can comply with. I have no such knowledge nor see the purpose in such an order." He stated for a moment annoyance then it was gone. He went back to silence and nibbling on his sandwich.

Jacoda laughed a bit.
"Aye doll. Seems ye definitely knows how to find the strange ones. What is he? Boy or machine? hahahahaha he is good though doll. Not even the navy gets me once let alone disarms me. Such an oddball."
He commented. Snickering in amusement. He pulled her into him with hand that moved to the small of her back.
"A lady is ye now doll? I say they be holding back on ye rank."
He said in a playful tease. Looking at her.

Twirling, she threw her hands into the air, an interpretive show of her eschewing the day's tribulation, a small smile playing on her lips. Even when Law was their foe, Chaos, it seemed, was ever the villain...and so be it. Let them have their squabbles. She and her siblings could carry on well enough without their faith or trust.

"As I have missed yours, I admit."
He turned to look toward Tamriel, eyes half-lidded and kind, a hint of amber in his cheeks. "When will this hibernation be done?"
