[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Azana Brown]

"With pleasure!" Sosol replied jovially, happy to see Maro back around the Inn. "I wonder what the hurry was, though..." He got to mixing, going a bit slower than usual to showcase the methods to Lin. "I guess you're staying a while...these don't go down quickly."

"You'd think so," Victoria shrugged before being asked about her craft. "As crazy as it sounds to most...it's almost a collaborative effort. I follow the metal a good portion of the time. The structure, the resonance...even a little of the thought and sentiment within it. Every piece tells a story."

She flipped the coin in the air, catching it effortlessly. "This one will draw eyes...distinctive curves that catch the light. I can feel it already..."

"Mental projections are tricky things...typically, people use blank spaces to prevent interference from reality. I could work around it...but you're right. Nirro might scare some people...even if he promises to behave." Orrin hummed in thought as he paced back and forth, thinking about it.

"Mostly, I worry for Stella...he did kind of get overdramatic with it, and he was her dad, more or less..."

"I am! I had missed the energy of this building, you see, so I sought the extravagant company therein." agreed Marouse, watching after Max for a moment before looking about the room. "Some new faces, and some who've got new faces...something major has happened, has it?"

"Well, why don't we go to one of our rooms, then?" grinned the curlytop, sitting up. "We'll have a private party in a galaxy of plastic stars."

His touch is warm, cooler at the surface with a radiant core of heat deep within. Patting lightly, he removed his meaty hand, ever a gentleman. "If you must hibernate, then please do..."

"...and now it's cosmic in there," Orrin chuckled. "You're already decorating. Let's get going before, or maybe once, it gets really crazy." He pecked her forehead and headed upstairs.

"I presume your room...you still have your stolen goods, don't you...?"

"Have new--you mean Orrin," Sosol smiled, watching him head for the stairs. "Yes...he's gone through a Paradigm Shift, it seems. As Charlotte explained it, it's almost like a Doctor regeneration mixed with a Pokemon Evolution. Rather than being of Order, he's of Balance. I'm not really questioning it...he still seems himself, so I'm not complaining."

"Way to summarize," Azana chuckled. "Hey...hope your Valentine's Day scheduled is clear. I'm taking you out."

"...but I already made plans for us," Sosol glanced to her.

"Well, they can't be mutually exclusive."

"Oh, darling, I just shoot the marble...where it goes, who knows~." she trilled romping after. "And I haven't stolen anything, I simply haven't returned a few things. Things not asked after, forgotten...I'm a shelter for stray toys. Besides, Young James doesn't need to be fiddling about with all of that in the middle of testing season."

Maro chuckled, sipping his julep. "I see...he's ascended to a new beinghood, like the Buddha achieving Nirvana...I'm certain it was painful."

At the mention of Valentine's day, however, Marouse opened his coat, displaying an array of trinkets. "Gifts, anyone?"

Honey watches Victoria, pushing her hood back and letting her messy hair fly wild. "Does all metal work like that? Like quarters or what 'bout things like cars?"

She shakes her head, slightly, "I'm afraid I'm in too good of company to do so at the present. I'll have to see about cooking something elaborate."

At the mention of 'gifts', Kyou peers down from the safety of the rafters. Hmm.

"Every case is different...that's why it's so fascinating," Victoria grinned. "Quarters are so often and quickly exchanged that they are a jumble. Not to mention they are a variety of metals...a bit difficult to work with at first, but they can be practical. Vehicles, on the other hand...they are their own animal. People imbue them with spirit of their own. As a whole, they almost feel alive...but the parts? Simply junk. Fodder for sculpture and construction. Very sturdy and firm. I've made some good furniture out of salvage."

She idly played with the coin. "That's why I like jewelry so much...precious metals are sensitive, imbued with value and sentiment. And I get to bring that to life..."

"I don't kn--y-yeah, it was," Sosol wavered slightly. Bad idea...the blockers were still a little shaky having come back from the deafening silence of Delphi. He eyed the trinkets momentarily but turned to Azana with a proud smile.

"You're a little late, Maro...but thank you."

"I might take a look," Azana admitted sheepishly after a moment. "Made the plans, not the gift...don't look."

"You flatter me...I'm certain that anything you make will suit my simple palate wonderfully." he murmured, voice like an affectionate tectonic shift.

Marouse grinned, holding up part of his coat to shield Sosol's eyes from the sight as Azana browsed. "Free of charge. Happy Valentine's Day." After all, the payback of the added love in the world was worth far more to him than any small magic for his person.

Opening her door, Charlotte pirouetted into her room, which had become a rather ornate rococo ballroom. "Sirs~!"

Orrin gasped, almost dropping his chosen splitter as he marveled at the ballroom. "Charlotte...all this, for me? You shouldn't have." The splitter chosen looked like a rather elaborate flashlight; Orrin shined it upon himself, and from the shadow on the wall stepped a similarly dapper Nirro. He was all sharktooth smiles.

"Do you know how long it's been since we've actually looked at each other?" He asked, turning to his other self.

"Quite a while," he purred in answer, all four eyes on Charlotte. "So, how's this going to work...? Two of us, one of you..."

"Have I mentioned lately how much you rock?" Azana chuckled happily, looking through the wares. It was increasingly hard to shop for Sol. He didn't ask for much, and was happy with just about anything she gifted him. For once, she kind of wished he was picky.

"Maybe...this," she said at last, picking something out. "I know you said no charge, but I'll give you a tip at some point soon."

Charlotte hummed, tilting her head from side to side in thought. "What to do, what to do...can't have gentlemen share, no, that's hardly any fun, but for me, there's only one~" she sang, snatching his splitter flashlight. "This, maybe, d'you think?"

Marouse grinned. Advice was cheap, but welcome. "Take it, freely."

(sorry everyone. I was trapped in a mountain range. in a blizzard. with no internet. still working but now i have net. Hope everyones holiday went well. =D )

Amir looked at her and then blinked. He looked at her. "Yes. You called it the Eden Forsaken? We Shadow Realmers refer to it as the Onibaka Wantoolz." He said simply. "What idiot would want to bring such a place to upper worlders lands?" For a moment the shadow realmer within him slipped out. Causing a bit of pain to flicker across his face before vanishing. He stood up and looked at her. "I see. That is a good thing. Well in that case I could shadow jump us there. I know of the place enough to get there without any artifacts." He said. Looking at her. "That sounds like a good place. however, this may sound odd coming from someone of the Shadow Realms...if it does get out...I'd like to send it home. Rather than trap it in yet another place it does not know." He said seriously.

"...A shadow Charlotte?" Orrin asked, honestly never having thought about it before. Charlotte had been plenty of different people, yet the same. She probably had plenty of selves to spare.

"I like this idea," Nirro eagerly raised a taloned hand, gleaming smile mirroring his enthusiasm. "Yes, please."

"Thanks," Azana bowed politely, pocketing the gift before leaving the shelter of Maro's coat. "See you soon, hon." With that, she left and headed upstairs to get ready. Sure, they'd be a little late for Valentine's day, but at least they wouldn't worry about issues around reservations.

"I think he called himself Cerberus, and if you want to send it back, no one here will stop you," Stella nodded with a grin. They had been hoping to send it back at some point, anyway, but since they weren't entirely sure how he had dragged it out in the first place, it had been proving difficult. "As useful as it has been, it doesn't belong out there. But for now, it'll make a good meeting place. Shall we?"

"Bingo bango." she grinned. "Cheeeeeeeeese!"

Clicking the flashlight cast an unsettling variety of shifting silhouettes, from which emerged a young woman.



Strolling up to the gentlemen with a somewhat disjointed gait, she smiled, making a sound like a train whistle in greeting.

"Huh...neat!" Charlotte beamed, turning out a pocket in her flapper gown and producing the chibi tabernacle. "All musicians on deck!"

Marouse smirked to Sosol. "And you?"

Orrin gawked a little, marveling at how her shadows differed from his own. This new perspective of Balance gave him much to think about, and made the world even more miraculous than it had seemed over the past few millennia.

"Wow..." He watched the new facet of Charlotte emerge and approach his own other half, disjointed like a marionette and just as wordless. "You never cease to surprise me, dear."

Nirro blinked once or twice, tilting his head at the new Charlotte before breaking into a nearly giddy smile as she approached and greeted him with a whistle like a locomotive.

"Hello, gorgeous~" He purred, offering an arm. They were getting music...let's see how she danced with that beautifully offbeat gait.

Sosol initially shook his head, but Maro was just so earnest, and a second gift couldn't hurt. If all else failed, he'd save it for another opportunity. "Very well," he conceded, looking through the trinkets with a bit more ease. After all, Azana wasn't exactly over his shoulder like he had been with her.

Her steps were an odd combination, loose-limbed and clockwork and tap and arrhythmic, but she made it all right, accepting his arm as offered with a whirring click. Smiling up, she chirped a canary tweet, and asked him to dance with the squeak of an old hinge.

Lifting a hand, Charlotte began conducting, the chibis performing a surprisingly functional rendition of the Manhattan Minuet. Turning to Orrin, she offered a hand. "My love."

Marouse grinned, offering a bit of wrapping paper with moving butterflies on a gold background. "Whatever you choose, here...before she gets back."

(well weather was chaos at an inn with interent. here is a post before I crash. Sorry Azana-chan if left you waiting long. *bows and types actual post now*)

Amir looked at her. Making a face and then chuckled. "Understood." He moved closer to her and offered her his arm. "If you would take my arm I shall shadow jump us there Lady Stella." He said with a bit of a smile. He looked thoughtful Cerberus....was he truly gone? From the sounds of it he was. Which meant he'd have to eventually go to the Shadow Realms and let them know. A highly wanted criminal eradicated was something to be known. Put many people at ease. He looked at her. "I'm ready. Soon as you take ahold I will shadow jump us there." He said sincerely. As soon as she would he would do as he said.

(um...exit us in your post if you'd like? since i left it open ended to not control anyone...soon as you take ahold he'd just shadow jump them. if I made a mistake my apologies. *waves as leaves*)
